Clive POV
Moving houses is definitely something I hate to the core. Too much stuff to pack and unpack along with the need to re-organize evrything within the vicinity. I sincerely hate it.
I moved houses to get away from my ex-wife and her family for the sake of my son Decker Sanchez. My pride and joy. He is the literal light of my life and someone irreplacable for me, which is why I freaked out when he and Cruz, the kitten, had disappeared from the backyard. I was scared. I thought my ex-wife had come and whisked him away in order to get back at me. It frightened me to the core. I ran out of the house, barely putting on my shoes and started looking for him. " Decker, where are you ?". I couldn't breathe. My chest was in knots with anxiety and I was praying to God that nothing happened to my sweet little boy. The tension unraveled when I heard a voice and the direction it was coming from.
I ran with all my might to see a teenager with long silver blond hair in a braid and jogging clothes holding my son and Cruz in his arms. He was beautiful and delicate. they were standing under a tree. It didn't take long for me to put the two together. Cruz must have climbed up the tree and was stuck which prompted Decker to climb but his fear of heights must have kicked in. I felt truly thankful to the teenager for coaxing him to jump. My chest was full of relief at the easy attitude and care that the teen was displaying. I knew right then that the boy was trustworthy. I decided to reveal myself. I calledout "Decker, where are you ?". " Daddy, I am over here". I could hear the joy and relief in his voice. I came out and sped towards him. He came running dropping Cruz who gave a mewl of shock and fright.
Sorry Cruz, I will make it up to you.
I fell to my knees and opened my arms only for Decker to run into them and we hugged each other tightly. My anxiety and worry melted away due to the warmth in my arms. Relief coursed over and I tightened the hug feeling Decker do the same. I looked up to see the teenager holding Cruz and calming the little one. The teen was looking at us and smiled. I noticed that the smile was geniune but his eyes had sorrow in them. It pained my heart at the thought of this child full of sadness.
"Lucien ! Luce! Where are you ?" a voice called out. The teen (Lucien) snapped his head up at the voice. The sorrow in his eyes disappeared and were replaced with joy and love. "Over here Eli." he called out. He had a beautiful voice while the other's was deep and sexy. Tall, fair and sexy appeared with short silver blond hair streaked with black. He was wearing a classic tailored pinstriped suit in black and grey with a black tie and Oxford shoes. He looked familar. I jogged through my memory of where I have seen this person before. " Are you okay ? I was worried when you were gone for an hour and didn't come back for breakfast". I could feel the worry in his tone. "Sorry, I saw the kid stuck in the tree with the cat and was helping them.' Lucien replied. The man sighed in relief and ruffled the his hair and smiled. That smile. I knew who he was. Before I could say anything , the man looked up and was surprised.
"Clive Sanchez"
"Elijah Fabbri"
My son and Lucien swiveled their heads back and fro between us. "You know each other ?" Decker asked. Elijah smiled at the child. " We do. Clive was our first model for the shoe ad we did a while back. Nice to meet you again, Messrs Sanchez". I cracked a smile at his words. I am glad he remebered me. "It is good to see you again Mr. Fabbri. Lucien is..."I trailed. The teen replied. " I am his younger brother, Lucien Fabbri. Nice to meet you Mr. Sanchez". I nodded in greeting.
What a small world.
