"O-OH MY GOODNESS!"
Instantly, Ginnan immediately ran and approached the place. He put his face and palms against the window pane. Peeked in and actually found Renji sitting inside.
The man fainted. His body rushed to the steering wheel, right into his folded arms.
This is too late!
Ginnan looked around . . . and there really was no one else. But if you look closely, there's no sign of a serious accident or anything. Renji himself wasn't even hurt in the slightest, but… why?!
Just a moment ago the man even appeared to be in good health and had enough strength to force his hand to grab onto the car.
"Aissh… really confusing."
Ginnan went around the car to the side of the open window. His hands and head poked in. Looking for a tiny button that Renji pressed when he protested to open the door.
Click!
And totally open! Luckily he had seen this part earlier!
Ginnan immediately went inside and pushed Renji up to sit up straight. His back hit the car seat.
The man's face was so close. And only this time it did look a bit pale. Ginnan was surprised, but he leaned closer to the neck to make sure there wasn't any smell of alcohol or drugs causing Renji's condition to suddenly turn out like this.
The result is nil.
This man is really sick!
Gosh!
Ginnan didn't even notice his forehead was sweating and starting to warm up when he accidentally bumped it against his own forehead.
"This is bad…"
Ginnan wanted to let go of those arms and leave because he was honestly still very irritated. But three seconds later, in fact, he took out his cellphone even though he was snorting very loudly.
"Okay, fine. I'll take you to the hospital. But after that it's over! I'll just leave you when I arrive, understand?!" he snapped at the unconscious body.
Like a fool… Ginnan was literally waiting for Renji until the ambulance came to pick him up. He groaned, but still tried to restrain himself. He wanted to go home, but the key to his flat was still somewhere. And when a nurse asked him to stay… he sat in the chair waiting even though his mind was not sure where to go.
"I'm not his friend," Ginnan grumbled to himself. "And why can't Haru-Haru be contacted. Tch…"
Even after saying that, he still looked inside the glass wall. There Renji was treated by several health workers who were on duty. One doctor checked, one nurse noted something down, one nurse was pacing around preparing an IV on the pole, and another still trying to call Haru's number at the reception desk.
They knew the man was Renji Isamu. His face was even on the bottle of the drink that somehow stood upright next to the telephone machine. It was no secret that the man lived alone, and only Haru was with him. In the article he had read, Renji had indeed been separated from his parents since childhood… and had probably never visited the two of them again until now.
I don't know if there was a problem in the family, or if it was just that he was really too independent about his business.
Ginnan wanted to not care, but honestly everything about Renji is interesting to know more about. The man was different. And somehow the irritation started to dissipate at this point.
"Why should I get so involved with this man?" Ginnan thought. Before deciding to send a voice message to Hiro. To take care of Yuki who is still locked in his room. Tomorrow morning somehow the condition of the woman. What is certain is that Ginnan knows, if indeed the key is not found… Hiro was strong enough to break it from the outside.
"Sir…" called the nurse who had been in front of him for some time.
"Yes?"
Ginnan looked up and remained seated where he was. The nurse smiled politely. "You don't want to see his condition?"
"Oh, yeah..." Ginnan muttered. Then go and follow. "Why is he?"
"Anemia," said the nurse. "And bulimia."
"What?"
Although the name is foreign, Ginnan is quite familiar with the two diseases. At school, he was one of the dumbest in the class. But when it comes to Mathematics and Natural Sciences subjects and drawing courses... he is the most enthusiastic about paying attention.
"Doctor, are you sure?" Ginnan asked. He turned to the young doctor who was standing right next to Renji who was sleeping soundly.
"It's not that bad. But Mr. Renji may have been under a lot of stress recently," said the doctor. "From his current condition, it is estimated that he has not eaten food for almost two weeks. So it is natural that his body is very weak now."
Ginnan's face immediately tensed. "T-Two weeks?"
"Yes."
Eh?
"No way..." Ginnan said. "But he's been looking fine this week. I mean, when we met at the bar he was even drinking. Just now... he was pretty strong at dragging me around—though well... I admit he looked really troubled."
The doctor smiled faintly. "Perhaps because of his nature, you judge him that way," he said. Then turned to Renji. "Some people seem calmer when they have a big problem. They will work as they can, interact as usual, even if they sometimes have inappropriate emotional actions."
"Yes, I know about that," said Ginnan. "But, I think people like him I can hardly ever find."
The doctor shook his head slowly. "Oh, yes ... if you know what caused it, I ask you to help him communicate with those closest to him. Especially the person who caused him to get carried away in this way."
"M-Me?" Ginnan pointed to himself and rubbed the back of his neck reluctantly. "Ugh, I... I don't know much about him."
[Thee closest people?"] Ginnan thought. ["Who?"] He looked at Renji's face which was getting paler. ["Wait a minute... does he have people like that?"]
"Oh? Aren't you his friend?"
"No—ah no—I don't know what he thinks of me," said Ginnan. "We've only seen each other a few times this week."
"So."
"If Haru—mn—I mean the man the nurse called earlier might know," Ginnan said again. "Tomorrow, when I can be contacted, I'll be sure to tell him about this."
The doctor smiled. "All right. So good," he said. "Then let's withdraw first."
"Yes."
Once they leave. Ginnan sat on the visiting chair and took a deep breath. He glanced at Renji. And I can't understand why it's like that.
Bulimia, the doctor said? And... not eating for almost two weeks?
Seriously!
Ginnan was willing to bet, at the bar when they met... Renji must have just made love to someone. The fragrance of the perfume at that time was indeed distinctive but faintly there was another perfume attached to it. He had doubted for a while, but this time he was sure. And again, this man had just hired Yuka's services before dragging the prostitute into the street, screaming, and even had a chance to monopolize her on a tree trunk before splitting up on the road and found unconscious hitting a pole.
Ginnan had no idea. How could there really be a human like this? His face even looked completely pale after his condition was known.
"You really are so weird..." Ginnan sighed. But five minutes later, he himself didn't realize he could fall asleep even though he was still sitting in that chair.
