"You know what? What do you look like now?"
Ginnan blinked. Because of that sound he woke up. And even though he was lazy, he still tried to straighten his body and rubbed his eyes a bit his vision became clearer.
"Get out..."
It was Renji, who had opened his eyes and rebuffed Haru's hand.
"Eh?"
I don't know how long this guy has been here. To be sure now he was standing right on the other side of Renji's bed and approaching. His hands cupped those sturdy jaws before bringing their foreheads together.
"Oh my God... even though I've only been left for a day..." Haru complained.
Renji's expression remained hard, and he just stared as Haru finished checking his temperature. "Truly..."
Ginnan looked away in shame when he saw the scene. ["Nothing wrong,"] he thought. With blushing cheeks. ["He must be the Haru-Haru that Yuka said was too close to Renji,"] he thought. ["Ah, no. It's not that close anymore. They even look like lovers to my eyes!"]
"I just want to sleep..." Renji said.
Haru shook his head. "No-no. You should have breakfast first," he said with a judgmental expression. "You know how shocked I was when the doctor told me about your condition? Didn't I make soup that time? So you didn't eat it? Not to mention your tea... you didn't drink it either? Gosh... You think I'm not serious about preparing everything?"
Renji actually covered his eyes with his arm. Seems unconcerned. "Could you be quiet or just go home now...?"
"What did you say?" shocked Haru.
"Go home." Renji said.
Haru looked very annoyed. He briefly glanced at Ginnan who felt like a mosquito repellent, before confirming his words. "I won't," he said. "Not until you actually eat in front of me."
["What? Why?"] Ginnan thought. ["Why is he treating the manager like that? It's not what I thought..."]
"Ren, according to what I said," Haru urged. "You are... Ssshh... DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!"
"Eh?!"
Ginnan glared wide as Haru grabbed Renji by the collar and shouted right in the man's face. He gulped. And luckily this is a VVIP room. So it won't sound like anything out there. Even so, still...
"What about your daughters?" Renji asked. "Have you celebrated his birthday yet?" a faint smile appeared on his face.
Haru's expression immediately hardened.
"Fuck it," he growled.
Renji's smile grew wider.
"What about your wife? Has she returned to Tehran?"
The corner of Haru's lips twitched faintly.
"Ren, please... don't make me laugh..." he complained. Before Renji pulled the nape of their neck and brought their lips together.
DEG
Ginnan looked away. ["O-Oh my God... what am I doing here..."] he thought. Feeling bad for a moment.
Like a balloon popping suddenly in his chest, Ginnan was frozen to the spot and didn't move an inch. His knees felt cramped and if he could, he just wanted to leave. But when his will to move was strong, he just glared at the sight of Renji's hand being held secretly.
["HEY! WHAT THE FUCK!"] Ginnan thought again.
Ginnan blushed, and Renji kept kissing Haru in his place. He had control of the man. Even until his sighs began to sound faint.
"Ahh... mn..."
Ginnan stomped Renji's hand, furious. But the man only glanced at his briefly until the kiss was really over.
"I really came here to see your condition firsthand..." Haru said. His voice shook as Renji just stared at him silently. That close. That intimate. "So I'm sorry I didn't know about this yesterday. You know what? My family is very, very—mn, anyway you might even be annoyed with all my excuses. To be sure, Sheila's birthday is now really over. So you don't have to worry about them... okay?"
"Hmm."
Haru smiles. His nose brushed against Renji's nose affectionately.
"Now tell me what you want to eat," he said. "I will prepare everything."
Like a child spoiling his father, Haru stayed there as long as Renji seemed to be thinking. The man probably didn't know the intense anxiety behind him.
Ginnan who was dying of lice saw the scene in front of him, Renji who glanced at him again without wanting to let go, and also his eyeballs which for some reason started to heat up.
"Pears..." Renji replied. Then looked straight at Haru. "Cold pear peeled rabbit with sugar. I want it complete with grated cheese."
Haru laughed softly at his unnatural request.
"What's more? Or is it just that, Ren?"
"Steamed raisins," Renji said again. "Mix with a glass of warm water. I want it not too cold or anything."
"Already?"
"Hmm," Renji replied. "Come back here when you're done."
Haru nodded. "Sure," he said happily. "Then I'll go now."
"Hmm."
Haru also let Renji go. The man turned and smiled widely at Ginnan. "Thanks for all your help," he said. "But help me one more time, won't you?"
Ginnan cake. He shuddered and glared at Renji, but the man closed his eyes regardless of his jumbled thoughts.
Under the blanket. Renji's one hand still gripped it silently.
"Eh... w-what?"
"Take care of him while I go to make food," Haru said. "You know what? He may seem cold to other people, but he really hates being left alone."
"Oh..." Ginnan sighed. "Eh? Really?"
"Yes, very much," said Haru. "I heard he's seen you a few times this week anyway. And if it wasn't really comfortable, he would have thrown you all the way."
Ginnan immediately laughed even though it was bland. "Hahaha... I see," he said. "How can it be judged this good. To me he really is annoying."
Haru's smile looked even more relieved. "You just don't know him yet," he said confidently. "Renji isn't what he seems. He can treat you really special when he finds something in you—"
"Haru," Renji suddenly interrupted. His voice was heavy and sounded very displeased. "Could you just go and bring all my orders?"
Haru just chuckled at Ginnan. "Ignore him," he said. "Anyway, if you two get along. Get ready for more surprises—"
"Haru, I'm warning you," Renji interrupted again. However, his eyes were still closed as before.
"Haha...okay-okay, I'll stop," Haru said. "Then I'm leaving. You guys are doing well here."
Haru left a kiss on Renji's forehead before leaving. The man also caressed Renji's cheek like a father sleeping his spoiled son. And even though Ginnan was aware that Ginnan was speechless at his behavior, Haru patted him on the shoulder like he was surrendering.
"He has gone?"
Renji only opened his eyes after that.
Ginnan was shocked. "Yes," he said. "I thought you were asleep though."
Renji snorted. "How can anyone sleep so fast, you idiot."
If this was a comic, Ginnan's character would have rubbed his chest. ["Oh my... dealing with this person must be patient..."] he thought annoyed.
"Oh, yeah... can you let go of my hand?" Ginnan asked.
Renji immediately let go.
Ginnan snorted. He stroked his wrist. "It hurts, so you know," he said. "But why do it? Wouldn't it be better if I left?"
"I haven't said thank you yet," Renji said. All of a sudden. Ginnan was speechless. "To bring me here and all."
Hearing that, Ginnan was at a loss for words.
