Chapter 67 - The new world order.

A sharp jolt of pain and clarity spread across Won's head.

His eyes opened suddenly and he found himself in his bed chambers.

An aching pain spread across his body, numbing it and even breathing was difficult.

Ozaris rapidly rushed over seeing Won awaken.

"Your Majesty."

Won regained his bearings relatively quickly and asked, "How long have I been asleep?"

Ozaris bowed, "One month."

Won sighed.

It took one month for him to heal, relatively speaking unless it was an attack that carried a true intent to destroy, like an attack used with the powers of Destruction, he would heal within a short period of time. The Heavenly Lightning that struck him, couldn't stay in his body for long. Lightning was of the Heavens and thus would disdain mortals. Unless one actively stole Lightning from the Heavens, it was incredibly difficult to keep that destructive lightning inside. Instead it would quickly wreck havoc and leave.

So at most Won believed in a normal situation he would be unconscious for a week.

Won sat up and said, "Well tell me how everything has been going."

Ozaris bowed, "Master after that event a month ago, the overall strength of all beings in the world decreased. Cultivators, Magic users, monks etc they have all lost their fighting prowess. The west has produced a method that we don't have the full details on, to regain a small bit of their power. The South has basically been chaos, countless civil wars alongside the West and North taking this chance to claim the south. The North Currently holds the most power, their technology was not affected, well atleast not the level where they were lower than us."

Ozaris said, "The Seven Great Immortal sects, the four great demonic sects and the nine great spirit sects have all conversed as to the reason behind the current situation."

Won waved his hand as his hands landed over his eyes. A pain shot through his head and he said, "Don't bother. It's the Heavens. It has forsaken our world."

Won's words were said casually but even Ozaris was shocked.

Won said, "All the energy of this world will be first stripped by the world, and then it will be used to keep it stable. The energy will decay. Energy cannot be destroyed nor created, hence the energy will turn into chaos and begin to devour our world even faster. Finally we'll all die. Although there's a bit of time till that happens maybe about three thousand years. Yet during that time, our Qi will harden and our natural lifespan will also similarly decay. Now it is a hundred years, over time it will fall. Worse yet those who die will not even have the privilege of going to Hell, to reincarnate or become discarnate souls. Instead the soul will turn to it's most basic parts and be devoured by the Universe slowly."

Ozaris felt his entire body numb and he collapsed to the ground.

"Even in Death we are not free?"

Won replied, "Think of our soul as paper. It is carved from the tree which is the Tao. That paper we can preserve through various artificial means, but if you leave it to nature it will decay and return to the Earth. The soul is a complex thing."

Ozaris slowly nodded as it he barely could understand.

In truth it was a deep shock. True death. It was comparable to someone destroying your soul. Yet even then you could atleast fight back, fate didn't control your life rather it was your strength. Yet now even the strength to fight was stripped from them. Ozaris felt the weakness inside his heart and a bitterness filled him. To mortals this was perhaps nothing, but as Cultivators how could they resign themselves to death.

Yet Ozaris quickly calmed down. There was nothing that would come from his worry, instead he felt it best to stand by and continue to protect his master. After all his master was the reason behind his life. He couldn't be said to be completely fine, but rather focused on things that were important.

Ozaris bowed, "Master. The nine great spirit sects and some of the other sects seem to be doing something in the dark. The Nanu Buddhist sect, known for their unorthodox and cruel means is supposedly thinking of doing something. The people are lost and their fancy words are inciting them. We must stop them."

Won nodded, "Hm. Well considering the situation they are likely soon two things. One they are trying to enhance their Buddhist spirits and thus gain strength, or they are going to sacrifice those citizens in a ritual."

Ozaris nodded. He himself similarly thought of that, he especially counted that the latter would happen.

Won shook his head, "Very well. Use a vision screen to project my will across the East. I'll fix this. Meanwhile go according to the plan we have been keeping. Now that the Regions are all divided it will be all the more easier to raid the Cultivation unions, and the countless branches of the other regions as well as the magic union and tower."

Won then stood up, his eyes buzzed, "Where's Yuna?"

Ozaris bowed, "Her Majesty is currently working at stabilizing the situation. I shall call her."

Won shook his head.

His spiritual sense erupted out and he dissapeared.

He appeared in front of Yuna.

Won smiled widely.

"You've worked hard."

Yuna looked suprised at Won's sudden appearance and then smiled brightly, "Yes, yes. Not only must I stay by my husbands side, I also have to take care of his Empire. Ai. How troublesome of a future mother."

Won laughed, "My darling is the best! She can do anything!"

Yuna showed and exasperated expression and said, "Does that mean you're going to work your poor wife here to the bone!"

Won smirked, he grabbed her and pulled her close, "I'll exhaust you in another way."

Yuna blushed, "You scoundrel."

Won laughed, "My master said all the best men are scoundrel's."

Yuna threw her head about.

Won pecked his lips and then turned to her belly.

He bent down and gently laid his head against it. He said, "Yuna. My precious. I will protect you. I promise. I will."

Yuna touched Won's head, "Don't worry. Nothing will happen to us. You shouldn't lose yourself for us."

Won said, "Everything that I am... Is here with you, our baby, and this Empire. I'm not losing myself by doing whatever to protect it, rather im protecting my way."

...

The sun peered through the grey clouds that had made their homes in the skies above. The music of the wind gently passed about, sweeping up the dust.

The sky instantly began to split into a rectangle. Everyone below raised their heads.

The East gradually came to their senses, and countless men, women and children fell to their knees.

'A projection from the Sovereign Emperor!'

Everyone exclaimed inside in elation. Chaos had seized the Grand East, and terror had stricken the people.

Bandits and thieves began to move as if today was their final days. Their laughter rang across the countless winding mountain chains of the East, like a sickening grumble of a hungered wolf.

A handsome man with pink hair neatly combed into a bun, wearing a black, red and gold Dragon Emperor robe appeared in the sky.

He slowly opened his pink lips, "I am sure you all are wondering what has befallen our world! I will not charm you with fanciful words, I will not try and trick you. The situation is simple. Our world has been rejected by the Heavens."

His voice rang like a gigantic mallet hitting everyone's heads.

Won spoke again, "The Qi in the world and even in our bodies, except for our innate Qi has scattered and even Cultivators have a normal lifespan. As time continues on the Innate Qi we all possess will draw thin and our children's lifespan will further decrease. I say all this because at this very moment some forces are drawing in people, they are encouraging them to kneel to the Heavens, to beg the Buddha. I will say it once, there is no Heavens above us, there is no Buddha behind us, and soon there will be no Earth below us. Those who say there is something to stand by you, something which you cannot see are liars! They are villains who seek to use you!"

Won exclaimed in a loud, heavy voice, "In this world only I stand here able to be your backing! I will be the pillar who catches the falling skies! I will be the God who reigns glory upon all of the East! I am the Sovereign Emperor, I am the Ruler of the East! I will protect us, I will protect my family, and I will protect you! I am your Sovereign so stand by me! Don't look for God, he'll turn a blind ear! I will conquer this entire world! All you must do is support me, and watch as I drag our world back to the Heavens, only for the Gods above to kneel to us!"

Every citizen. From the strong, the rich, the poor and the weak. The Bandits and thieves. The Scholars and solider's. They felt their blood boiling, their hearts skipping a beat.

This wasn't a request to support him, he was telling them. It may seem brutish and without standing, yet the force in his words. They stirred their hearts.

They gazed at his magnificent figure, that stood like a tall giant holding the skies.

Those of Ito had long since given their everything to their god. Yet the rest of the East wasn't so easy. Of course they dared not challenge the Sovereign, but they didn't support him. That was a main reason so much chaos ensued.

Yet like a fierce Tiger Won had gripped the chaotic world tightly, the hearts that had been shaken and fearful moments ago were now buzzing in gusto.

In actuality this wasn't easy, and if the people weren't so out of it from not only the current situation, but the revelation that the Heavens had abandoned them Won words would never have been so easily taken, their might have even been revolts.

Yet now in their darkest moment, a being stood up.

That was their Sovereign, and the chaotic East for the most part began to unify.

...

Notices and warnings about dangers and prevention methods were released by the Capital of the East, Ito.

From that the common people who had originally planned pilgrimages to various temples and the such stopped.

Buddhist, Taoist monks both trying ceremonies to steal the innate Qi of the common people? How could those words not shock everyone.

Yet the people had completely trusted the news.

Armies were sent out at the Sovereigns command and various Revelations showed up to accommodate the Information passed.

The people saw, skeletons inside the temples still red and wet from the blood pool they soaked in.

Explosions lined the mountain as the Temples where evil monks resided were entered forcibly.

It was a tough battle Considering they managed to retrieve some of their Cultivation through the stealing of Innate Qi.
