Now that Won had completely healed he prepared to make his way back to the capital. As an Emperor his place was at his throne. Thus after a few days of relaxing by Yuna's side, he picked her up and dashed away.
In a few hours he arrived back at his Empire, he casually made his way back to his throne room.
He saw Yuna's eyes were drawn away, something deeply pressing on her mind.
Won said having guessed the source of her awkwardness, "Yuna you don't have to worry about your brother and father. I'm only temporarily taking the throne, I'll pass it back to them."
Yuna looked at Won, her eyes widening.
Confusion and shock were quickly displaced by revelation. She laughed, it sounding like bells chiming, "Of course. You are way too lazy and stubborn to want the position of Emperor. You are definitely that type."
Won signed, "Don't say it like that."
He stood up, wrapping his arms around Yuna's waist and said, "Rather I would say if I'm Emperor how can I spend all my time with my wife?"
Yuna laughed even louder.
She said, "You mischievous man. Don't think you can use me as an excuse for your bad habits!"
Won said, "I'm not! I really just want to spend time with you only."
Yuna nodded and said, "Hm. Of course I believe you."
Won tilted his head, "Then why does it seem like you don't?"
Yuna shrugged her shoulders laughing.
Won laughed similarly planting a kiss on her forehead.
Won said, "Honestly though. I do want to spend all my time with you. You who warms my heart."
Yuna nodded as she kissed Won's forehead.
She said, "Of course! Even I was planning to quickly have a child so he can take the throne! Otherwise how can I spend my nights without the company of my love?"
Won chortled, "Wow! What a villain! You're really my type!"
...
Won was mindlessly in the middle of thought as he walked along the deep red tiles. As he walked the palace maids who wandered and the palace guards could all be found gazing with a strange gaze at Won.
Won however wasn't noticing this, his eyes clouded over. Thus unnoticed by him was the spreading of chatter that engulfed the entire capital.
Suddenly Ozaris appeared by Won's side and said in a low voice, "Your majesty."
Won's eyes jumped up and he realized he had been in a daze.
Won laughed, "Oh Ozaris. I was just looking over some details. Sangria should be coming be coming into my grasp soon enough."
Ozaris nodded, although he was a bit angry with Won for having risked his life yet again. He ultimately felt that Won had more pressing issues to deal with that his feelings. Furthermore the grief he felt was outweighed by the joy he felt at seeing Won healthy and alive.
Ozaris said, "Master you have more pressing issues to deal with."
Won tilted his head in confusion.
Ozaris said, "When you were in Toko Sangria began to project the scene to all the Empires and all the regions in Ito. I suspect he was trying to humiliate you by making showing everyone you running away abandoning everyone."
Won's eyes widened, "Really? Why didn't you tell me before?"
Ozaris said, "Well considered you throughly destroyed his plan I felt no need to inform."
Won nodded, "It was a good plan. My coming into power had been mostly on Ito's belief in me. He must have been expecting me to run away, that would incite our peoples emotions, defaming me as a uncaring fellow with no remorse to the deaths of his people."
Ozaris nodded.
Won signed, "Anyway what's the issue then?"
Ozaris said, "The citizens fanaticism for you. Countless people have been trying to break into the palace to meet you. Even yesterday a group came barging in wanting to see their great lord. To them seeing you sacrifice yourself like that was more moving than any religion."
Won patted his head, "Really?"
Won couldn't help but smirk slightly. If he couldn't feel pride and joy over this turn of events there was no meaning in the world. It was a natural feeling everyone desired. Of course Won understood that the extreme nature of them would not only be harmful towards him, even his people would suffer.
Ozaris held his head, "Master this isn't something to smile about. They are basically extremist who would die for you."
Won sighed and said, "Well I'll trust you to deal with this!"
Won didn't feel like he really had to do anything, it wasn't like he did anything wrong. In fact all he thought at that time was to protect everyone, thus to him everything after that was the responsibility of others.
Just then loud racket could be heard.
Loud exclamations filled the sky.
Won's ear buzzed as the words entered his ears, a strange expression forming on his face.
"Let me in you bastard! His greatness The Flower Emperor has returned I must meet him! I must see his elegant form!"
"Get out of the way! My son needs to touch His Majesties feet and ask for good luck that way he can pass the scholars exam!"
"Hey who smacked my dick! If it wasn't for the fact that this was his majesties residence I'd resolve this grudge immediately! I need to hurry and ask his majesty about how to get the Heart of Asuka!"
Countless protests could be heard echoing behind the grunts of the guards.
It wasn't that hard to imagine. All this time Won had been their personal God, of course the degree of reverence they had for him equaled that. Yet it hadn't been until they saw Won nearly die for them that their reverence turned into absolute worship. If Won said for them to die they would. To them Won had already been so heavily engraved in their hearts it couldn't be comprehend properly, and while most normally stayed with only a burning passion to aid Won, many other's couldn't hold their love for Won in and wished to hold and treasure him. Similarly many also saw him as a wise and sought his noble advice, finally many also saw him as the Empires lucky charm. This mixed with their reverence caused them to rely solely on Won.
Of course although this group numbered in the thousands, in was the minority.
Yet although this group seemed to be insane of weird, if you consider everything Won had transformed from their personal God to their Literal God, their doctrine and law.
He had shed blood for them, he had fought for them, he had voiced power to the weak, he had saved a decaying Empire.
Won looked towards the palace gates then Ozaris. Clicking his tongue he shrugged his shoulders and went to hide.
Won retreated to his Royal chambers.
This was a new castle that had been emptied in the past. It was quiet nice, and had a charming elegance.
Inside Yuna was reading a book.
Won leaned down and sighed.
Yuna put down the book and said, "You look tired."
Won shook his head, "Not tired. More like I'm in awe. This current situation... I couldn't have imagined anything like this a few years back."
Yuna patted Won's head, stroking it.
Won suddenly said, "Right! I never told you of my past!"
Yuna laughed, "You don't need to force yourself. As long as I know you love me, I'm fine."
Won had talked about his past very little, but Yuna understood that Won had a dark past. Something hard to speak about.
Yet Won was sharing this life with Yuna and felt he had to tell her.
So Won explained his life. His parents, his pain and suffering. Everything.
Yuna at times felt her heart grip in anguish as she listened to Won's suffering. Anger filled her heart like large waves as she heard about the injustice. Awe over his strength and unyielding will.
Yuna felt tears cover her vision.
Unknowingly Won had fallen asleep.
Yuna slightly watched Won's face for hours, her eyes colored strangely in deep thought.
Yuna finally opened and she said in a quiet, yet firm voice, "You worked hard Won. From now on I'll be your shoulder to rest on, and I will do anything to protect you. In this world my life belongs completely to you. After all you're the one I love. It may seem childish, but I'd rather be a fool than be someone who lives without you."
Yuna looked up, a steadiness appeared on her face, it was a twisted yet Inviolable thing that even Gods and Ghosts feared.
Yuna said, "I love you Won."
...
Won was resting on his throne going over some issues in relation to the Empire.
Suddenly Ozaris entered, his steps quick.
Ozaris said, "Master. It happened. The 10 Great Empires have issued a decree and the battles between Sangria and Ito have been halted."
Won's lips rose up, a devious demonic grin forming on his warped lips.
Ozaris continued, "The 10 Great Empires have issued a decree for you to go to a meeting between them to discuss the war."
There were small Empires, Middle sized Empires like Ito, Ying and Suzaku, and Big sized Empires like Shu and Chu.
Yet at the helm of the East were 10 Empires, they had power comparable to sects and had long since made a united force to protect themselves. It was called the Great Union of Empires.
This was also the place that had been set as the final stage for Won.
