Chereads / Human Extinction system. / Chapter 60 - I am the Sovereign Emperor. Ruler of the East!

Chapter 60 - I am the Sovereign Emperor. Ruler of the East!

Won was currently in a carriage heading towards the meeting place of the top Empires.

It was an Illustrious and mystical mountain, it stood high peeking past the clouds. It had layers of snow even at it's heels. It stood mightily at the center of the entirety of the East.

Mount Kun. To many people it was a sacred place where Sages and Gods resided and protected all those who carried the blood from the East. This was why in the earliest morning of time, when the world had first born. When the West who had knelt to Gods and received power, invaded the East who was simple and ordinary, that the Easterners from all over climbed Mount Kun. There it was said a young boy, born an orphan with nothing to his name, enlightened upon the Plum blossom trees that lined the mountain.

He learnt of Immortality and Qi as if guided by a Primordial force. It was as if nature had come to his heed to teach.

That young boy taught to his country men the mysterious powers of Qi and Immortality and together they sent the Westerners away.

Even Won had to admit he had heard this legend in the West. It was a horror story much more different than what the East spread. The West described it as a pursuit of truth to free the unsophisticated Easterners of their barbaric ways and teach them the Gods Way. They were Crusaders, they were teachers, they were the good guys. Yes, yes although those fancy words were written to hide their desire. Anyway it describes how the barbaric East gained heretical power and defied the will of God, bathing the earth in blood and beginning a thousand years of darkness and pain.

A thousand years of Continuous war left the East and West both at their peak and also their weakest. With chaos breaching into peoples lives and disease overflowing like wild tides. Those times were indeed a time of darkness. Yet although for one it was the beginning of darkness, for the East it was the birth. The weakness they once had dissapeared and in it's place was a desire to survive and a desire to rule.

Yet one could never forget the harshness of those times, where the strong ruled in terror and the weak merely sat in silence.

Won knew his actions themselves could be the beginning of another time of heros and villains, another thousand years of darkness. Thus he did his best to prevent that. He never longed for needless suffering.

Thus Won climbed these steps, each with a heavy will.

As wild and untamed Mount Kun seemed to be from the outside with it's lush forests and the ferocious aura of beasts exploding out. The way to the peak was surprisingly neat and maintained. Nicely carved stone steps led to the top.

From the sides you could see leopards bathed in snow hunt foxes and the such. Meeting Won's eyes they would growl, their natural instinct telling them to hunt. Yet when they met eyes with Won, they shivered as a true Predator was staring back.

Yet some predators who had reigned king for long saw this as a challenge and fought with Won.

Considering Won's reason for coming he didn't use Qi, instead using his martial arts to devastate the beasts.

He mostly did this firstly because the act of using Qi on Mount Kun was seen as an offense. Secondly he wished to train his martial arts at their very basic level to a greater height.

Won was actually rather disappointed in his martial arts, rather than precise like a blade they were explosive and flashy like a firework.

His movements were good and his comprehension was better, but the little things hindered him from reaching perfection.

This had come from consistently fighting strong people where from a weak persons point of view, skill mattered less than actual ferocity.

Won was a extremely good fighter. He had mastered the greatest truth of martial arts.

He was ferocious like a beast as he fought, it wasn't eloquent and pretty, it was brutish and deadly.

He wasn't like normal martial artists with styles and precision. He was like a bloodthirsty beast who did whatever it took to win.

That made him strong and that made him a martial artist, but a beast was killed. Only a God of Martial arts could truly be the best. One with brutality and openness of a beast, and the fluidity and precision of a man. A God.

Thus Won fought with this beasts, this time instead of being aggressive. He used softness and precision, as if instead of being a mountain he was a thin needle shooting through the air.

A large white furred bear stood in front of Won towering, its arms stretched to the side.

It moved it's face down as it moved forward. Suprisingly this beast was cunning. It knew with it's long neck it was better to bite, this was obvious every beast knew their weapons, yet it moved forward leaning on it's weight and the assumption Won would retreat from it's bite.

Won pulled back slightly, his feet staying in place. It seemed as if he would fall down at any moment.

One leg stood firmly planted and the other like a bullet flew up.

Won concentrated all his strength and focus on his feet.

Only Won's toe touched the bears chin. Yet an explosive power backed that attack sending the bear flying up.

Won smirked and then moved forward, his feet like a fish swimming. Each leap small and light, such that even the snow below didn't shudder.

Suddenly Won bent down and jumped up, like a spring he rose higher and higher.

Won appeared above the bear.

Won's fist began to crackle like thunder.

He twisted his body such that his head pointed down.

His feet touched the sky, moving slowly yet with such strength it seemed as if he was stepping on air.

He pushed off with a considerable force.

He appeared on the bears body. His fists shot out like the thrusts of a spearman, it was at such a blinding speed it seemed as Won had grown nine thousand hands.

Each fist bore with it the Condensed force of Won's strength.

The bear coughed up blood, the dense force penetrating past it's thick hide and fat. Even being a beast enriched in Qi, with Won's deadly attacks nothing seemed to matter.

Even though Won's fist carried intense Strength to shatter mountains, no great shocks spread and no Destruction ensued.

This was mastery of strength.

The control of a martial Artist.

Every fibre of their being had to be flinched and must tremble with their command, that is the true way of martial artists body.

A martial artist had to be someone with brutal willing to do anything, whether it being doing things like kicking a man's vulnerable areas, poking their eyes. A martial artist did everything he could to win, to survive. Martial arts wasn't the way of the kind, it was a way to survive. Yet if they just had strength with no control, they weren't martial Artist they were beasts.

Control made a martial artist different to such a degree it can be compared with having a blunt blade vs a sharpened blade.

Thus Won fought, each move seemingly as weak as a pebble touching a quiet lake, yet causing incomprehensible ripples.

Won grabbed the bears arm, and spun in the air. It looked as if was a wheel on a carriage drawn by ten thousand horses. In fact Won was getting sick. He let the bear go.

The bear flew down, slamming into the ground and sending snow flying.

Won slowly fell as if he was going against gravity itself. His feet sneakily touching left and right, again as if he was literally stepping on air.

His hand touched the bear, it was so slow it didn't seem to do anything.

Yet then the bears body fractured into pieces like glass, the ground underneath broke apart. A gigantic hole at first only a little bigger than the two was born, yet the longer Won's hand stayed on the bear the large the hole got.

It was now the size of a crater.

Won pressed down once more, and flipped. Spinning he landed in front of the hole.

He clapped his hands together.

He looked at the bear corpse. He pointed at it and a red flame the size of a finger nail flew to it.

Instantly it was roasted.

Won extended his hand, and the cooked meat as if held by an invisible hand flew towards Won.

Won took out some spices from his inventory. He put them on the meat and began to chew.

The mix of flavors filled Won with delight.

Taking a few more bites, he found himself still hungry.

Lamenting on how hungry he was he made his way up the mountain after digging a grave for the bear.

...

Won walked with his hands behind his back, his hair flowing from side to side. His eyes mysteriously darting occasionally left and right. A sigh escaped his lips.

"If you've already made your decisions need there be such a tedious occasion? I couldn't imagine having to walk these steps before, atleast now my Cultivation has improved. Ah, but really humans are a bit twisted. They can't blame me for being a cruel God."

A purple color flared in his eyes. A smirk appeared on his face.

Just then plum blossoms drifted in his view.

A strange wind carrying specks of snow as well as the scented plums blossoms.

The smell was calming and familiar. In fact it soothed his heart.

Won looked back, the twisting valleys and mountains could easily be seen from such a great height. Great and strong cities, and even ferocious beasts all looked small in comparison to where Won was.

...

Ryuk asked, "Won why do you seek Immortality and power?"

Won didn't know exactly how to answer.

Ryuk laughed, "When I was young. I... I lost all my Cultivation, I was attacked by someone from Heaven who wished me dead. I killed him and sacrificed my Cultivation. I was lost and broken after that. All my fellow disciples humiliated me, but that was fine. I wasn't even in a bad situation my wife protected me when I was weak. I fell in love with her before, but during that point I felt my heart truly be touched. Yet I hated my weakness, I had to deal with the realization I was weak I couldn't challenge my fate or protect those I loved. I was merely a weakling. Then one day I ran away, grief had twisted me as I thought of the burden I gave my wife and my master. I fell down a valley. I was stuck there and couldn't leave. There I slowly died. Then a voice entered my head. It was silent, yet loud. An echo like an explosion. It asked me why I Cultivate Immortality, why I want power. Instantly on the anguish dissapeared, instead in it's place was a burning desire to be Eternal. I didn't want to be Eternal just to live forever, but rather I wanted to be with those who I love forever. I wanted power to protect those I love. I climbed that valley even when I bled and bruised. Clenching my teeth I climbed up, and once I reached the top. I had died as a man and was reborn as The Bloodiest Devil."

Ryuk looked deeply at Won.

"So why do you Cultivate?"

Won laughed foolishly, "I don't really have a reason. I don't have anyone I love right now master. I don't have anything keeping me tied down, im like a balloon without a string."

Ryuk laughed and said, "Don't worry I'm sure you'll find your reason."

Won asked, "How can you be sure?"

Ryuk said, "Because the only way you'll survive long enough to reach that point is by having a reason. Life isn't easy, you'll realize their are things beyond your comprehension. It's maddening and infuriating and the only warmth that can save your scarred heart is that reason."

Ryuk said, "It won't make sense, but it will be there. A reason to live, a reason to die, a reason to be Immortal and a reason to have power. Action without reason has no purpose."

Won said, "Master you don't seem similar to your name."

Ryuk's brows rose, "Is that so? There's no reason that part of me needs to be shown nor remembered."

Ryuk looked off. A small smile on his face.

Ryuk was someone if he was your ally you could stand tall and proud, but if you were his enemy it was better to kill yourself and destroy your soul, before he got you.

Nothing and no one in all of existence lived Separately from that Inviolable truth, not even other Creators and even the Tao.

Having reached the peak, Ryuk had become rather easy going. Yet if any being dared touch what was his, he an existence beyond time and space, beyond fate and karma. He a being who stood at the height of all of existence would give forth a life of eternal suffering.

Yet that was an old man's story. Now it was the story of the man in front of The Bloodiest Devil who had colored his Universe in blood, and Ryuk sincerely hoped Won could live a happy life as Won desired.

Ryuk said, "Well times up. Furthermore I assume you will be finishing the trial soon. Won. I hope you find your purpose."

...

Won looked out.

He closed his eyes and smiled, "Master I found my reason. I understand your determination. Even if I must be soaked in blood and condemned, even if I must rot in heresy and Cruelty... For them, for her, I can endure it all. I'll live forever to see them forever."

Won's hand extended out and his hair flew in the wind.

Won's eyes gathered a firmness. One who mistakenly looked into Won's eyes would be stunned. His eyes bloodshot, sharp as a blades edge with a persistence greater than seas, he looked fierce.

Won climbed up the steps.

...

Won appeared before an flat ground. Orange leaves filled the ground as if a carpet, and even with the freezing temperatures the orange trees were exuding great vitality.

In the middle was a table.

It was great and made of some ancient wood.

There were Eight seats.

Four taken by men, supreme rulers. Emperor's who stood at the peak of the world.

Three women, who defied expectations laid before them becoming rulers. Three Empresses who soared in the sky like Pheonixes.

Some had their eyes closed, others plainly sat and some conversed. Yet when Won arrived everything fell to a silence.

Even though these men and women had surpassed all limitations and pitfalls, even if they had lived for many years at the top, when they caught sight of that man they shook.

A man with a still and cold expression, who didn't seem that remarkable albeit very handsome. Yet even though he did nothing and was silent, his very being carried an Inviolable force. It wasn't easy to understand, it was an Aura. Like a crushing force comparable to gravity, forcing them to hold their seats in fear.

Won's aura leaked out uncontrollably like hurricane winds slapping their faces.

Won looked on.

There shivering the most. Prince Yangmeng.

Won's cold expression slightly faded, as one side of his lips curved.

Yet instead of easing the mood, it made it more chaotic.

Some wondered how others were leaders or meant to be lead. If one glance, one movement could control the tempo and mood of an encounter they were Leaders.

Won said internally, "I could respect a man who does things will cunning and those who things with desire. Those who struggle to survive, who work themselves hardest to survive, they earn my respect. Yet people like you who attack innocent people because of your inferiority complex, especially my people. Those who do not bare any responsibility towards those who lean on them. I will make you suffer for putting my people and my wife in danger, a fate so cruel you will never wish to reincarnate."

Ozaris had originally believed that Sangria attacking Won and then broadcasting his image everywhere was smart. Won agreed, it was cunning and smart. A perfect way to win if everything went according to the plan. High risk high reward. Either way Won should have lost. He should've died or he should've run away, yet Won broke apart that wall. Yet although Won said all that, for Sangria which held the most cards it was risky and needless. In fact it held no real value, and was far more risky. Yet the disgusting smell of selfish desire was apparent, thus Won began to look at the attack not as if facing an Emperor, but rather a jealous person and it all made sense. Won didn't understand Sangria and Ito had reached this point because of Panyang, more specifically Yuan'er.

Won didn't truly understand why, but he understood the intention Sangria had.

Won said pleasantly, "I wonder why these respectable Emperor's and Empresses have summoned someone such as I to such an exclusive place. I can't believe you're inviting into your shitty little club right?"

The Emperor's and Empresses frowned.

Won sat down on the seat given to him.

It was purposely a inch shorter, although not very noticeable. It created a way of expressing that the one who sat in that seat was lower. It was a small psychological trick.

Yet when Won sat in it, his leg hung on one armrest. His head head held as if bored in his hand. It looked shockingly powerful.

The Empress of Wang said, "The reason for this meeting is the discussion of your war with Sangria."

Won laughed, "Hm? Why should you bother?"

The Empress snorted, "Of course I should bother. Sangria is part of this council, if it were to dissapear or be damaged I would likewise suffer."

Won continued laughing, "But that dosen't make sense. If I devour Sangria then I'll be a top Empire. Nothing changes. Oh well the one in charge changes I suppose."

The entire part of this council was for when a Top Empire ever meets hard times, they together stand. They weren't doing it out of honor or valor, rather they fought for their own interests. First if one backed down of a meeting then when that person eventually finds himself in hot water, no one will step in to rescue him. Secondly their were established connections made under the table.

Thus they stood tall like a firm wall, even as Won broke apart their playful facade.

The Emperor of Xiao slammed his hand down, his heavy and large muscles that similar to a boar.

His voice loudly boomed such that the snow resting on the leaves trembled and fell.

"Then I suppose there is no need for etiquette! Surrender immediately!"

Won's smile faded like snow in summer, "Ai. How boring. I thought you'd be more fun and cunning, yet You're so violent."

Won stood up and said coldly, "Well I can be violent as well."

Won held his hands behind his back and the wind blew hard, "Now I give you a choice."

His eyes glowed a ferocious purple.

He seemed to transform from a man to a humongous demon who covered the sky, turning the Heavens a blood color.

"Kneel or die."

True to his words there was no eloquence, there was no charm.

Empresses Sa Na laughed, "Won Azer! You should know your place. Do you know who stands outside your Empire?"

Won nodded, "Of course I do. I allowed those soldiers to enter my territory for one reason and one reason only. To teach you that I am the one in control."

Won snapped his fingers.

Suddenly all the Emperor's and Empresses felt their communication talismans buzz.

Won said, "See what it says."

Nervously they leaned their hands down and pulled out their communication talismans.

Their eyes went wide and their mouths dry.

Fear prickled their scalps.

Just now all of them received a message that their important cities had exploded suddenly. Yet there were no casualties, considering those areas were used to launder money and do other shady business. It was a gigantic market where money flower in and out at high rates, you could say it was one of the most important foundations of their Empire. From Human trafficking, drug trafficking, in those cities evil people feasted on the Earth and got even richer.

Although the total amount of land destroyed only amounted to 10% of their Empire. Yet the Potential and more importantly money in those locations made these Emperor's and Empresses cold indifferent hearts bleed.

"You bastard! How dare you! Do you wish to see your Empire burnt!"

Won raised his hand, "Obviously for fools like you that wouldn't be enough. Then how about the fact you are all poisoned?"

The Emperor's and Empresses felt their worlds shatter.

Won stepped forward, his steps echoing like loud cackles of thunder. The Emperor's and Empresses felt this hearts grip and stepped back. As if a strange dance, every step Won took they moved back.

Won's smile appeared, cunning and evil.

Won said, "Do you know what I am best at?"

Won pointed to his head and explained, "I'm really good at planning. Everything that can go wrong, everything that stands in my way. Everything I see and understand everything. Of course something's escaped my eyes, but in general I... planned the beginning, the middle and the end. Many things didn't go my way, but luckily the majority worked out."

Won said, "Before anything had every happened. When Ito was still nothing and I was nothing. Do you know why I created Sweet Night?"

Won laughed, "Emperor of Xiao didn't you visit the Gu Empire? Didn't your brother in law offer you some wine?"

...

Like that Won listed some odd and causal events that had no relation to anything. It was as if feather in the wind. Yet now it was as if swords had filled the ground below them and the sky had turned red.

Won smirked, "Every person was a threat to me. So before you realized I was a threat I designated you to die. Every one you through some mysterious coincidence, through a friend or a family member you drank something that didn't have any purpose remembering, because it was so trivial."

"You can't mean!"

Won stretched his hands out, the orange sun touching him, making him look like a divine being.

"Since the beginning of everything this was the conclusion! So I ask again. Kneel or die!"

Eyes spinning in distortion, their souls twisted as if a marionette. They found their stomachs sink.

One by one those leaders of the East. The Emperor's all knelt to Won. Like Gods falling their fall was slow, but oh so enjoyable.

The soft thuds echoed in the silence, as if great booms.

Won smiled. He made his way back to his seat. Crossing his legs and leaning his head on his hand.

Won said, "I am now the Sovereign Emperor! I am the Ruler of the East!"

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Yes."

Won nodded.

The Emperor's didn't need anything else, as if zombies they picked their lifeless trembling bodies and left. Prince Yangmeng had been the only one not to kneel to Won, and his shoulders struck the others shoulders.

Alone. He was alone.

Won smirked.

The Emperor's and Empresses left, as they walked down the steps of Mount Kun. They felt regret and fury, a rebellious and evil fire grew in their heart. They swore to kill Won and make him suffer.

Just then the sharp smell of blood penetrated their noses.

The Emperor's and Empresses looked around.

Empress of Wang shrieked as she pulled open the bushes.

Countless bodies as far as her eye could see, were sprouting flower of blood on the clear white snow. Their heads rolling around.

The corpses all wore uniforms of their respective Empire. They were their solider's, every single one sent to Ito.

The Emperor's and Empresses realized that it didn't matter what they thought, right now a great God had already wrapped them around his hand.

...

Won's hair drifted in the wind. His eyes closed as he enjoyed the touch of the cold wind.

Won said, "Let me ask you, why did you be so aggressive with Ito. I really don't understand. I'm not trying to mock you or anything. I just don't understand your reasons."

Prince Yangmeng stayed quiet.

Won said to himself, "Well I don't really care too much."

Won stood up.

He walked towards Prince Yangmeng.

Won laughed, "Do you need to keep pretending. I know you're a fake."

The Prince Yangmeng in front of Won turned to sand and dissapeared.

None of those Emperor's had actually come. Instead from some remote place they sent a clone.

Won smiled and peacefully left the mountain, his hands tapping his body rhythmically, his eyes clearly buzzing as a faint color could be seen.

...

In a far away place, where stars filled the sky. Where there were hundreds of moons filling the sky.

With gold tiles making its grand frame, a gazebo sat in the middle of a lake.

The lakes stretched as far as the eye could see and it would be better described a sea if not for the name of this place.

The Moon lit lake.

The sound of a Zither could be heard playing, it's songs sharp like steel and loud like thunder, not bearing in the slightest the elegance it deserved.

Her skinny, boney fingers as they struck the cord, trembled slightly. The long black nails that rested on her fingers crossed left and right.

Her eyelashes shook slightly, like a tremble of the lake below her.

Her voice carried an ancient manner to it, even though it was loud and clear. She spoke as like the summer, but it sounded like winter.

"Tell me for what reason did you go?"

A woman wearing a veil over her face knelt behind her.

"Our plans that we have been preparing for ten million years, do you realize the gravity of your actions. Plum Blossom fairy?"

The woman who struck a cord on the Zither causing it to cry out like a dragon turned around. Her face was perfectly shaped and her nose was sharp. Long black hair fell down, yet they couldn't cover her flashing red eyes and smooth skin.

"Madam Moonless, I didn't mean to..."

The Plum blossom fairy tried to explain, but something got stuck in her throat.

An invisible intent flooded the air around them and the Plum blossom fairy fell as if she was being choked.

Madam Moonless said, "You must be punished."

Her words were short and cold. Suddenly the air around them distorted, with only a few words reality began to shift and twist.

The Plum blossom fairy began to fell as if endless magnitudes of gravity had fallen on her. It was if the weight of the entire universe rested on her shoulders.

Blood leaked out from her eyes and nose, and the perverse smell of death filled her.

Yet she bit tightly on her lips, the yelps that persistently tried to be exhaled were left to nothing.

After who knows how long a voice echoed.

"Enough."

It was like the roar of fierce Thunder. The rippling lake began to skip and fold like a sea.

Madam Moonless presented a smile on her face, the warmth of spring prevalent.

She said with blushed cheeks, "Darling. I was just punishing this foolish girl. Who knows what would have happened if that little brat Ye Na found about. All our plans would have failed and we would have been killed."

A man appeared suddenly as if out of nowhere. He had long black hair that flowed behind his back, his eyes were as dark as the night sky. He wore a Green Taoist robe that tightly fit around his body. His eyebrows contained endless wisdom and age, and more so an arrogance grew there. His face was as if sculpted from marble. He wore a green crown on his head, with three jades imbedded onto the crown.

The man said, "The Plum blossom fairy had good reason to. Someone had interfered with our plans. The key was stolen."

Madam Moonless looked stunned, her eyes flickering between confusion and shock.

Suddenly her eyes turned a yellow as her brows locked together, "Who was it?"

The man simply shrugged his shoulders as if uncaring, yet his fists were balled up tightly.

...

Won was walking slowly down a street. His hands clasped behind his back. His eyes darted around as he caught sight of various things. The smell of food and the boasting of merchants were synonymous with the city.

Suddenly Won felt something hit his leg. He looked and saw a small girl. She wore rags, and was unfortunately boney.

The girl had been running from three similar aged and clothed boys, and two girls.

The girl touched her forehead that had hit Won.

Her friends behind her gasped in shock.

The girl similarly looked up and hurriedly apologize, "I'm sorry sir! Please don't hurt me."

Won tilted his head, "Why would I hurt you? Are you my enemy?"

The girl didn't know how to answer.

Won patted her head and said, "It's fine little one. Go on, make sure you are careful from now on."

The girl nodded slightly.

Won took out a few gold coins and said, "Use this to eat properly."

The girl trembled, her eyes glistening as her stomach groaned.

Won laughed slightly and left.

The girl held the gold in her hands. Her head was confused, yet she looked at Won's back. She bowed her head.

Won walked calmly and slowly. A frown formed softly on his face. His feet sped up and his dissapeared soon after.

Appearing above a large castle. Won's punched out, the wind from his fist tore apart the hard stone walls like paper.

Won planted his legs down.

He shot his foot down.

The ground tore apart and Won appeared in a dark dungeon where blood dripped from the walls.

There he saw Prince Yangmeng bathed in a pool of blood.

Heads of children, women and men bobbed up and down.

Prince Yangmeng opened his eyes, his eyes were a green like jade.

Won said, "To be so vile. Was it worth it?"

Prince Yangmeng roared as he pounced out of the pool, the madness had festered in his mind rotting it. Now like a feral beast he howled.

Won slapped Prince Yangmeng's chest, the bones inside it broke apart.

Prince Yangmeng was thrown away.

Prince Yangmeng eyes seemed to have become more collected and he said, "Don't blame me! It's your fault all these people died! It's because someone like you, some worthless trash decided to rise up. You should have just known your place!"

Won slapped out again and Prince Yangmeng who had turned into a red beam was again slapped into the ground.

"You worthless scum! You should have just been crushed under my heel, how could you do this to me! How could you take her from me!"

Won as he heard the way Prince Yangmeng blamed others. Countless people could have died, he didn't take responsibility he didn't think he was in the wrong. To Won people like that were scum.

He grabbed ahold of Prince Yangmeng's throat.

"If you have an inferiority complex, maybe you're just inferior. A fish dosen't think it's a dragon, a cow dosen't think it's a bull. Only an incompetent bastard would blame others for his uselessness and call them cheeky. You're just an interior being get that through your head."

Prince Yangmeng struggled flopping side to side as his fists flew through the air punching out at Won.

Won tightened his grip twisting Prince Yangmeng's neck, killing him.

Won closed his eyes. Sighing. Opening their was relief and also pity and sadness.

Life was fickle, it could be lost even in the greatest of conditions. Yet death was ever present.

Won opened his raised fist. From his palm a twisting red pagoda appeared. It fell and everything caught fire. Won wished the dead a good life next time and then left in a flash.

...

Won was sitting in his throne room. Yuna entered and was shocked.

She ran over to Won.

She asked, "Why are you crying?"

Won brought his face up, struggling to control his trembling lip.

He said, "This story is so sweet and so amazing! Ah! When she has to go away to another town he chases her on foot and even though she can't hear him, he yells out he loves her. She finds his letter where he says... Argh! It's just too bloody sad! It's so heartwarming and beautiful! Yuna how about we make this novel mandatory for every citizen to read!"

Yuna sighed and knocked Won's head gently, "Ai. Don't scare me like that."

Won laughed sweetly at his wife's concern, "I love when you're scared for me!"

Yuna threw her head back in resignation. She looked at Won and said, "Ai. What can I do. I love such a tyrant such as yourself."

Yuna gave Won a kiss on the lips.

Won tapped his chest as if having done something commendable.

Won said as he gave Yuna the novel, "I must say though. I wish I was like my master and could interfere in mortals romances. There's this bastard chasing after the main girl as well. I want to be a cat to throw salt at his shitty face!"

Yuna gave Won a side glance, "A cat? Why not just yourself."

Won craned his neck up and said, "To increase the level of disrespect!"

His eyes fierce as red flames twisted in them.

Yuna chuckled.

"You seem especially aggressive."

Won sighed and looked away, "I had a dream. We had a son and because of some Love Triangle he was feeling shitty about himself. It angered me a great deal!"

Yuna asked, "Hm. How cute."

Won raised a brow.

Yuna smiled, "Your so protective of your kids even dreams anger you. If not cute what is it."

Won signed, "Ai. You're ruining my demonic image!"

Yuna's eyes widened. She began to laugh.

Won closed in to Yuna.

He said, "Now everything is done. We're getting married tommorow!"

Yuna was startled for a moment, but waves of joy tossed away everything else. She nodded.

The two kissed.

...

The wonder of the Moon lit lake, settling a hand on the skies.

The Spring warm as it was...

...

End Volume 1.

...
