While great changes were happening outside unknown to Won. He himself was currently in his palace, in his bedroom. By his side was Yuna who had been tediously applying medicine to Won's body, such that even the bruises that remained were now healing. She was tirelessly inspecting every part of his body under the moonlight. This continued for hours, the two silently in each other's presence with only their beating hearts to accompany them.
Won flinched and said with a loud yelp, "Ow! Be more gentle will you!"
Yuna slapped Won's back and said, "Stop being such a baby! Who told you to go and get injured? Everyone knows you're strong, but did you need to handle that! You could have died!"
Won scratched his ear, "It's not like I wanted to do it. My body acted on instinct you know. Anyway I could do the same thing ten, twenty times. Ouch!"
Yuna was squeezing Won's arm with her head down.
She bellowed, "Don't ever do things like that!"
Won said, "Yuna..."
She exclaimed, "Please! Please don't ever do something like that! Be a selfish, heartless bastard! Live for only yourself, just never get hurt! Please! Please! I'll do anything so never do anything like that again. Even if you're hated and despised, please live, please survive. I can't handle seeing that happen ever again."
Won said, "Yuna..."
She laughed bitterly, "I know... I must look like a mean and bitter bitch. I know I act strong and proud, but seeing you hurt I can't ever handle that! It's like someone is stabbing me in the chest! It's like every bit of me feels weak! My stomach turns and I feel utterly sick like I could die. You must hate me, but I don't care as long as you live, as long as you're safe even if you abandon me I'm fine."
Yet to her surprise two arms embraced her, as he made her head lean on his chest.
He said, "I don't hate you, I never will, because I'm the same. If it was you or the world, I would sacrifice the world. Even if you are the only one who must survive, I'd make it so. Even if I had to be covered in blood I'd do it in a heartbeat. Because... Because I love you forever and always!"
Yuna sobbed in pain as she knocked her fist on Won's back. She hated her weakness and the fact she couldn't make this man she love be more aware of the responsibility he has after entering her heart.
Yuna howled internally, "If he went as far as to make me so heartstruck he should do everything he can to live. Yet he keeps putting himself in danger, he keeps bleeding and I can't stand it!"
Won moved a strand of Yuna's disheveled hair to the side, tucking it behind her ear. Leaning down into a kiss.
The moonlight touching their faces, they embraced each other in a flush of passion. It was deadly difficult for Won to control himself. This was mostly because Yuna wanted a proper marriage ceremony before they actually...
Yet Won being his devious little self was feeling a deep tightness in his stomach, he felt the injustice of a thousand lives.
This time Won was literally dying as he forced himself to stop as simple kissing and cuddling.
He had resolved that after he thoroughly destroyed Sangria the first thing he would do is his marriage ceremony.
Won had taken an entire month doing nothing. He was being forced to stay put and recover. His people outside kept pushing him back inside and even Yuna had him wrapped around her hand.
Meanwhile Ozaris had taken the reigns and begun to apply pressure to Sangria. Thus Won had nothing much to do.
In a few more days his body would be completely healed. In fact it was a miracle that could be amounted to many factors. Firstly the amount medicine he had been fed, his natural healing factor and finally the fact that he had been struck by Heavenly Lightning.
He had gotten so bored he lapsed into week long Cultivation sessions, where he would make impressive gains in his Cultivation techniques.
The amount he currently had amounted to a little over 100 Cultivation techniques.
Thus Won's Qi was extremely pure and flowed at such a great volume it was comparable to seas becoming rivers.
The problem was that out of the hundred many were bound to come to a standstill.
For example the {Ten Demon Idols} Cultivation technique although it had reached a high degree of comprehension, another Cultivation technique he had called {Water body: Night Moon} was lacking.
Thus Won was taking this time to comprehend various things relating to his Cultivation and most importantly stabilize his Cultivation.
Although his Golden core looked impressive, it seemed to be missing something incredibly important.
Won suspected it was either his intent or his Qi.
Yet Won was confused. In the Trial there really wasn't a Cultivation system, it was less advanced. It was simply about absorbing Qi. Yet in reality the Cultivation system heavily relied one's state of self.
Thus Won continued practicing.
Yuna found Won rather charming as he cultivated, as he carried a determination and focus that seemed awe inspiring ye she could see his twisted brows and bored expression. Won wasn't someone who liked silence and boring activity that was Cultivation.
Currently wrapping Won was an incredibly holy and special Dharmic energy. A red colored Buddha on a twelve leaved lotus began to form above him. The Buddha had red snakes twisting around his body.
Won's eyes began to be tinged in a red, it was similar to eyeliner yet his skin was actively changing.
From his eyes two lines fell down his face. Another two rising from each eye to the middle of his forehead. It wrapped the Red lotus on his head.
The Buddha floating above his head suddenly grew a crown and two angelic wings sprouted out from his body, his red Kasaya turning into a Kasaya made from fire, similarly the snakes that wrapped his became fire snakes. Turning his hand into the Shuni Mudra, the Buddha suddenly bellowed inaudibly.
The ground creaked slightly.
Won's eyes slowly opened and the red lines around his face dissapeared.
Won mumbled, "The Heavenly King Scripture really is difficult. The Heavenly King is linked to Buddhism yet is intrinsically different. The conflicts were so difficult to understand considering the Buddhist spirit inside me keep finding the Heavenly King essence as a false nature and tried to attack it. Finally I managed to alter the Heavenly King essence to bind more closely with me thus become imperceivable by the Buddhist spirit. Such a difficult task."
Won then said exclamation, "Yuna!"
Yuna was sitting by Won's side, her head on his shoulder.
He hasn't noticed her because he was working on his Cultivation technique.
Won sighed and leaned his head on Yuna's lulling into a sleep.
...
Won was currently meditating when his brows twitched. In front of his a pale man wearing black clothes continued to swear and curse Won. Won had felt he had countless close calls recently and felt a sense of grief.
His opened his eyes suddenly, staring coldly into that concentrated Yin.
Won clicked his tongue in annoyance and used {1,000,000 Golden Buddha palms}.
The Grim Reaper exclaimed, in a snake like voice, "You can see me? That's impossible mortals can't see Grim Reapers!"
Won cracked his knuckles, "You bastard fellow I've allowed you to be this whole time, even as you cursed me! Yet you're going too far! Don't you have to go back to Hell? I'm sure there are other souls needed to be ferried off!"
The Grim Reaper resentfully hissed, this was indeed the truth. The aura of death that gave authority to the Grim Reapers had already Completely dissapeared, in fact an even more extreme and repugnant aura towards death seemed to loom around Won. In fact even if Won was taken to Hell they couldn't do anything but send him back up. His name had been wiped from the Book of Life and death when he survived the Grim Reapers Graveyard.
Now the only way to truly kill him was to destroy his soul. Even if you destroyed Won's body he wouldn't necessarily be dead. He would be stuck in a state of limbo which was actually worse. Of course this happened to every person who reached immortality, their names would be stripped from the Book of Life and Death and in the case of their physical forms death they could live as souls and even steal others bodies.
Furthermore this Grim Reapers superiors had been cawing at him to return, yet a feeling of losing money made the Grim Reaper red and green in rage and sadness.
The Grim Reaper laughed as he fell into the ground, "I'll one day come for your life!"
Won's eyes glowed a purple and said, "One day I'll come for yours."
For some reason the Grim Reaper felt a cold wind touch his back and even began to tremble slightly.
Those eyes. Instead of a man a blood thirsty demon from the depths of Hell seemed to rise, it's mouth full of dagger like teeth.
Won laughed as the Grim Reaper finally dissapeared.
Won then closed his eyes, his breathing turning in a eccentric way. Nine deep inhalations which he then held for 30 seconds, before releasing breathing out twice, expelling all the air in his lungs.
Won's Qi began to shake inside his body, trembling like a guitar string.
Suddenly it raced through his body as if a wild dragon.
The wounds in Won's body at a rapid pace began to scar ever so slightly.
Won's face began to lose color, his brows locked.
Won allowed this to continue and persevered for 30 seconds, finally he breathed in. Fresh Qi seemed like excellent wine as it entered, coating his body in a shine and shine.
His internal wounds had now Completely healed.
Won's eyes opened and a sharp glow shot out.
