Derek Karper, the weakling of the green lizard guild, let out an exasperated grunt as he swung his sword full tilt intending to strike the wolf-like beast standing a couple feet ahead of him, but before his blade could connect The beast leaped out of the way and Derek's sword slammed into the ground, sending shockwaves reverberating throughout his body. He tried to turn to the side and parry the next attack, but he was too slow, the beast was flying towards him at full speed when suddenly an arrow sprouted from the back of its throat and it tumbled to the ground, lifeless. "Try not to get yourself killed, Karper" sneered a boy with light blond hair and fair skin from across the room , he said Derek's name with a certain sharpness. This boy was Evan Snike, the "prodigy" of the green lizards, or so they said, Derek always just thought of him as a rich *sshole . "Shut up Snike everyone knows you're just strong because of the equipment your daddy buys you" The boy sneers at Derek and lowers his bow. "Stop arguing you two we need to harvest monster materials!" "yeah, yeah Kev we're on it" said Derek.
As Derek finishes up removing the hide, he notices something, there is a deep blue glow that seems to be glowing from the chest cavity of this creature. Curiosity takes hold of Derek and he plunges his carving knife into the center of the beasts ribcage, prying it open. A torrent of blood rushes out, and lying among the blood and organs, is a small blue square. He picks it up and wipes the blood off of it with his sleeve. "What the" There are runes of some strange language etched into the surface of the glowing tablet. As Derek stares at the runes, he almost feels as if he can understand them, wait no, he could understand it. He read the contents of the tablet. [WHOEVER MAY COME ACROSS THIS WRITING IN THE FUTURE WILL BE GRANTED THE POWER OF THE SHAPESHIFTING SYSTEM] [WILL YOU ACCEPT] [ACCEPT] [DECLINE] Out of curiosity Derek whispered the word "Accept" As soon as he uttered these words the tablet dissipated into a fine, blue dust.
*Ding* A blue screen showed up directly in front of Derek's face "What the h*ll is this?" The blue screen in front of him held what seemed to be video game like stats
