Chapter 44 - Plans

"Your highness," A maid came forward and bowed her head. Seraph brows raised slightly as he found this maid recognizable, this was the same maid that dressed and bathed him yesterday. She gave a gentle smile as she rised, "Your carriage shall be here momentarily."

"Alright," The Princess gave a simple nod. She folded her arms in front of her, giving an authoritative yet elegant aura.

With their quick conversation over, the maid didn't leave and stood beside the princess instead. Seraph gave the maid looks, she was really mature and soft, including her voice which was especially soothing to the ear… She reminded him of a younger version of his mother.

His gaze instinctively softened considerably, this didn't go unnoticed by the maid who gave a gentle and calm smile to Seraph. Seraph stopped looking at her after that, afraid that she might mistake his intentions…

The carriage arrived and they all boarded.

Inside the carriage, It was spacious and had the same elegance as the rooms inside the palace. Outside the carriage, it had elegant carvings on its exterior and the recognizable emblem of the royal family etched onto the carriage in silver characters.

Sela stuck close to seraph, taking a seat directly next to him and rubbing her face all over him. Seraph was red as a tomato, the princess teased seraph constantly throughout the journey… turning his plain replies into double entendres and very playful words.

Sela's maid was on Seraph's other side and had her eyes closed, as if she was sleeping… But seraph could tell that she wasn't because every now and then one of the princesses' little replies shocked her noticeably.

Alena wasn't fairing much better, she was directly across from them and could see the entire thing quite clearly… However, she ignored it perhaps more perfectly than the maid.

Seraph was pleased at this, although he was being bothered... He could see that his planning to retrieve his bible was going well enough.

Seraph found out quickly how big of a pervert the princess was after an entire carriage ride with her. She never directly touched seraph, preferring that he would make the first move but seraph was left stunned and embarrassed after hearing two of her words…

Carriages arrived and departed, young nobility fled from their carriages and onto the street, loud talks filled the sky. Seraph could hear their loud talking even from inside the carriage; he wasn't provided with the window scene as he was squished in between the princess and her servant.

People from the outside recognized the carriage form long ago, most of the nobles began waiting for the carriage...

The carriage had stopped, Seraph was the first to get out followed by the elegant looking Princess who carried herself with grace when leaving the carriage. Seraph quickly recovered. Straightening his back and making his gaze more elegant than what it should be…

Alena and the maid, stuck behind the princess. Their earlier expressions were replaced with that of indifference. To say that the trio was beautiful was an underestimate, with the three girls closely together they made the place look more serene… With Sela leading the front, looking like a goddess among them.

Alena's Normal eyes returned and most there could accurately describe her as an ice princess, while the maid, who looked gentle but had a face cold as stone could be described as her sister.

Seraph the odd one out, his appearance made every single noble youth pause. They couldn't understand who this wood elf was, the princess stuck closely to him… so was he a prince from the wood elves?

Seraph's jet back length black her, his dark gray eyes. His noble attire made him stand out in any crowd. The new wood elf prince, stuck close to the princess closely, always leaning down to whisper something to the princess as they walked.

Some men looked enraged, at their 'goddess' being defiled by the strange foreigner. However, another Carriage approaching the elegance of Sela's carriage arrived, with their noble golden emblem of a crow etched onto the carriage.

Seraph's advance was suddenly halted, as the princess suddenly halted, turned around and faced the carriage that had just arrived. Seraph followed her actions and began scratching the back of his head, wondering who had just arrived, he already had some guesses.

A girl emerged from the carriage, she was slender with a beautiful face and long slender legs which were covered by her tight dress that clung to her figure. Followed by her were two dark elf butlers, she held a noble feel to her as she walked…

After a glance at the girl in front of them, he could already tell that she was a 'mean girl' of some sort. She held a certain elegance to her, while also looking down upon almost every body there. She even scowled at times

His mood decreased, he wore a tight knit frown on his face instead of his usual indifferent expression.

"Hello, Princess Sela." The girl bowed her head, "It's good to see you at school once more, you were absent for a long period of time. I hope you are okay?"

"Everything is fine, Sister Min. I just had to do some things before returning back to school." Princess responded with a dazzling smile, while nodding to the girl.

"Oh? Did one of those things come along with this wood elf?" Min, sent a glance toward Seraph. Despite his noble appearance, there were some nobles there who could immediately tell that seraph was not noble at all… Simply, because they knew all the nobles from the wood elf kingdom.

"Yes, it did." Sela didn't elaborate any further.

"Is he your servant?" Min attempted to poke seraph but he casually backed up from her finger. She looked surprised almost, "Oh? He's not your servant?"

"He's not a servant of mine, but he's important to the royal family." Sela tapped seraph's chest.

"Oh? Then what is your name?" Min looked at Seraph, her expression didn't change at all and she didn't look down at seraph. However, her expression when he backed away from her clearly gave him all he needed to know…

"I'm called Seraph Morningstar." Seraph carefully bowed his head toward her, which was respectable.

"Oh? That name doesn't sound like it's from the wood elves… Actually I've never heard such a unique name before." Min blinked a couple of times, Seraph's name was really unique in this world.

Seraph feigned a smile and a small chuckle as he continued to speak, "That's because I'm not a wood elf, miss."

"Huh? If you're not a wood elf then?" Min didn't understand it. This was common, no one would believe that their most hated enemy would be walking around in the capital, they also wouldn't believe that they would see a hero in their lifetime either… They were used as ghost stories and only their battle prowess on the battlefield came to them like stories.

"I'm a Hero." Seraph then pulled back his black hair to reveal his short ears. Min took an instinctive step back, as while many people watching the high noble talk to the princess gasped. Seraph continued to smile, "You must be from the Elong Family, A very close family to the royal family. Now that I'm under the care of the royal family, I hope to see more of you in the future."

He then extended his hand, the butler at her side suddenly jolted and almost took a step forward, but was stopped by Min herself. Who carefully recovered herself before shaking seraph's hand.

She chuckled, "Likewise," She let go quickly after the handshake, making seraph smile "Excuse me, i believe school is just about to start… I must leave."

After thinking up an excuse Min began walking away from seraph.

Sela was smiling, while also looking at Seraph. Everyone was going to know sooner or later that Seraph was a hero, just by looking at his ears… If a strong breeze came by and blew up his hair then it would've been the same. So it was better for him to make the clarification before people suspected he was a hero trying to spy on them.

"Lemme guess, the book?" Sela looked at Seraph strangely, as she smiled. They began walking toward school as she spoke.

"Yes, as the saying goes 'Knowledge is power'." After seeing min, Seraph who was focused on getting stronger had a sudden idea to increase both his power and the princesses power in the kingdom.

Sela looked at seraph's face and chuckled, "What are you thinking?"

"I'm thinking of you." Seraph quickly replied back. After getting teased by Sela constantly, he loosened up slightly.

"That's not what I meant…" Sela got closer to seraph. "What are you planning?"

"How did you know?" Seraph didn't know his plans got seen through so easily.

"I can read minds." Sela joked.

Seraph only gave a glance back at her, "I'll tell you in private."
