I turned around abruptly.
"What are you doing here?"
"As we told you, we got lost."
"I rather think you followed us. Are you passengers who were on the same subway as us?"

"You said that a few minutes after the explosion you woke up here?"

Hyesook covered his face and eyes with the palm of his hand for a short while.
As if I had said something stupid.
"Excuse me Yume, I don't mean to be cheeky, but I think it's just a figure of speech. They just wanted to let you know that after a while, they woke up here."
"Yume. So that's your first name."
"What do you want from me?"
"From the first glance, you look like the leader of your team, but inside, you look weak"
"What's your point" I said as I put my hand on the hilt of my sword.
He looked at the gesture I had just made, and didn't try anymore.
"I'm not going to complain, it's better for us!"
"Is it better?"
"You'll see next payday."
His answer had left me puzzled.
Did he know about the upcoming event?
And if so, how did he know about it?
"I'll leave you to it, you looked as lost as we did. See you soon!"
I immediately broke his mischievous smile.
"Wait, was it the prophetess who told you about the next payday?"
"The prophetess? You know Yume, since this world has changed, there are things that once impossible, the sound now."
After this altercation, they left.
"I don't understand how can they know what's next? Surely it was the prophetess who told them! She is also in Japan."
Hyesook spoke up.
"Listen, I heard that there are witches in this world. They can predict the future in exchange for emeralds"
"Yes, we understood that. Remember Naoki, Toshiko. We even faced one of them!"

"In the forest we're in, if we want to find the portal, we're going to need their help."
