From Elite Monster to Dragon (LitRPG)
Kent unexpectedly found himself transported into a game, becoming a low-level elite monster just outside the beginner village. Faced with the imminent arrival of players, he was filled with worry. However, to his surprise, he discovered that he could customize his talents and skills. As a seasoned veteran gamer in his previous life, Kent refused to be a mere stepping stone. He designed himself to be the hardest, most twisted boss in history.
When players ventured out of the beginner village and first encountered this hellish boss, the game forums exploded with complaints.
“Did the designer make this boss his dad or something? It’s super tanky, deals massive damage, is immune to control and taunts, and specifically targets squishy players!”
“It’s either flying around the sky or burrowing underground, giving melee players no chance to hit it!”
“Every skill is either crowd control or instant-kill on squishies, with massive AoE damage everywhere. And it even has life steal! Just when we almost take it down, it heals back to full!”
“We barely managed to kill it, only to find it has a second and third phase!”
Kent lay leisurely in his lair, browsing through the forum posts: No matter how much you curse the designer, it’s useless, because I designed myself!
Players exhausted all their efforts, cursing the designer and that boss to no end. But when the day came that the game and reality merged, that shadow covering the sky appeared over the city…
Players thought they were the only ones suffering in the game, until they saw with their own eyes that even the gods looking down upon the world were being devoured by that giant dragon…
