Chapter 1 - Introduction

The pINPOINt: the United States Intelligence Community founded intelligence Criminal Police Organization along with Interpol. They place members from the CIA, United States Department of Justice, Department of Defense, and people from the United States Armed Forces. It was planned back in 1996 but didn't get fully started until 2000. They made the organization gather intelligence to track down different crime rings and crime organizations and protect critical people.

The National Intelligence built the first headquarter area in Washington DC, and soon eight more were built in the United States. By 2006, the Director of National Intelligence took full control as appointing the missions and the director for pINPOINt. He soon appointed the Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Intelligence Integration to handle all of the pINPOINt operations with the director of the pINPOINt. There are a few pINPOINt locations in the United States; Washington DC, Orlando, Florida, three in California (Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles), Chicago, Madison, and Dallas.

pINPOINt works on gathering intel on people that could potentially harm or are very harmful to the country and the world. They work alongside other law enforcement agencies in the country. Most of the pINPOINt Headquarters are place in the same city as the FBI field agencies as well to work alongside them. While the pINPOINt Headquarters in Washington DC work with both the FBI and CIA there, their main goal is to make a case not need any witnesses to put the criminals away for a long time.

While the Southern California pINPOINt's first head was Sigmund Thoresen, the older brother of current head Gudmund Thoresen, the Southern California pINPOINt has seven-team, civilian employees and at least five liaison officers.
