Chapter 3 - C-3

C-3

There is a mystical realm called the Apengding Realm, the realm of the unborn.

Lord Denrich is the Guardian who looks after the realm.

In this realm, all the unborn babies to be conceived come into being.

Every being in this realm is assigned a confidant spirit, the Patron.

Every baby's name is decided in this realm.

Every patron must accompany its confidant until it is born.

The last mission of a patron is to ensure the name of its confidant in the Apengding Realm and on Earth is identical.

After fulfilling its obligations, it will be teleported to the promised land.

In case a patron's confidant is not to be born, it has to accompany its confidant to the promised land.

"Helen, hurry up."

"We'll be late," said intensely a funny looking creature, a cheerful spirit, Staunch my patron.

"Late for what?" I enquired.

"Lord Denrich's oration," Staunch frantically replied.

"Teleport me there," I demanded.

"You sure are a lazy being."

"Feel pity for your future parents," it complained helplessly.

When I heard the word parents, I melted.

I really yearned to meet my parents.

The mere mention of parents warmed me up.

'What will they look like?'

'Will they really love and adore me?'

'Can I really make them happy?'

'How I wish I were born right now!'

'Even if I had to sacrifice half of my future life, I want to peek into the Blue Realm (Earth to glance at my future parents).'

'It will be worth it,' I sighed.

"I'll be the most hardworking child for my parents."

"I have to save my energies for my Earthly life with my parents," I declared exuberantly.

'As you know, you'll be summoned when your time is ripe,' Lord Denrich began his lecture.

Whenever a baby was summoned, everyone envied it. Everybody was too impatient to greet their parents.

'As soon as you're summoned, you'll be implanted in your mother's womb…..,' Lord Denrich went on to explain our future life in our mother's womb.

'Your parents will love you unconditionally.'

'The love of parents for their child is the greatest power ever existed.'

'Even the guardians of the realms are helpless against it.'

'Unfortunately some of you won't meet your parents on account of abortion or miscarriage.'

'You'll be transferred directly to the promised land where you'll be a million time happier than being on Earth.'

'You can volunteer to be transferred to the promised land before being implanted,' Lord Denrich concluded his address.

Lord Denrich's last sentence was an impossible choice.

We might as well risk the promised land just to glance at our parents once.

We returned to our residences with radiant expression eager to meet our superheroes, our parents.

"You're smiling like a fool."

"Are you that excited to meet your parents?" teased Staunch.

"Of course I'm."

"It is the sole wish and desire of my existence," I stated firmly.

"Don't you dare forget me when you are with them."

"I'll be alone waiting for you in the promised land."

"Don't do anything stupid to be stripped off the ticket to there," Staunch appealed powerlessly.

"I'll never forget you," I promised.

"You liar, your soul's memory of this place and I will be sealed once you're born," it retorted.

We laughed nonchalantly.
