Chapter 5 - C-5

C-5

"Lord Denrich, why does it have to be me!" mourned Davis.

Davis was my best friend. He was summoned a few weeks back.

"Staunch, what happened to Davis?"

"His mother had a miscarriage."

"He will be transferred to the promised land tomorrow," Staunch bemoaned.

"Davis, you'll be transferred to the promisedland tomorrow. Grief tonight .It will be your last earthly emotion," declared Lord Denrich.

"No! Please cancel my ticket to the promisedland and implant me back in mom's womb instead," wailed Davis.

"Don't blabber nonsense Davis!"

"Many babies are abandoned but you are loved and cared for."

"Even if you are born you won't even live a century there."

"You'll live for eternity in the promisedland," upbraided Lord Denrich.

"It will be worth it as long as I see mom and dad."

"I'll be content. I don't want eternity, I only want mom and dad," bewailed Davis.

"Don't let your emotions get a hold of you Davis."

"You may miss your parents for a few years."

"You may wish to live with them on Earth at the cost of eternity but what about your parents?"

"They'll miss you in the promisedland."

"You have just experienced how hard it is to miss your love ones."

"Do you want them to experience that forever?"

"They will be sad for eternity."

"Even the aborted babies don't dare. Do you dare?" chided Lord Denrich.

"I don't!! I don't!! I'll never do!"

"I have inflicted quite a grief on them already!" deplored Davis at the top of his lungs.

I patted Davis and was lost for words recalling the day he had been summoned.

"Helen, I'm summoned. I have been summoned."

"At last, hahaha, I have been summoned," Davis exclaimed excitedly.

"I will see mom and dad soon," he uttered.

"Davis, I'm so happy for you," I expressed joyfully.

"Please visit me often in the Summoned colony. I'll be in the Blue Realm soon."

Summoned babies in the Apengding Realm are moved to the Summoned Colony.

"Helen, let us be best friends in the Blue Realm too."

Davis' sobbing brought me back from my rumination.

"Helen, I'm sorry. I can't accompany you in the Blue Realm," he regretted.

"Davis, we'll be together in the promisedland."

"We'll be best friends for eternity," I consoled him.

"I was so happy in mom's womb."

"I love her. I'll really miss her."

"I don't know them but I love them very much."

"They really love me too."

"They made so many future plans for our family."

"I waited eagerly."

"Mom, Dad, I really want to see you."

"I want to hug you, kiss you."

"I want to play with you and laugh along with you."

"I wish you could take care of me in my childhood and I wish to take care of you in your old age."

"I know it is not your fault. I know you'll be devastated."

"Mom, I know you'll blame yourselves but please don't blame yourselves."

"If anyone is to be blamed, it is I."

"I'm sorry I was not strong enough to hang on in your womb." "Mom, dad, I am sorry."

"The fact that you didn't try to abandon me but made a future plan with me makes me content."

"Listening to your family plan including me makes me happy."

"I feel like we really did it."

"I'll be waiting for you in the promised land."

"Mommy, Daddy, I really wish to see you."

"I love you."

Listening to Davis' lamentations made me ponder,

'What if mom has a miscarriage?'

'What if my parents decide to abort me?'

'They won't right?'

'After all they're my super heroes.'

'I really love them. They'll adore me too,' I comforted myself.

'I wish mom has a miscarriage instead of aborting me,' I muttered inaudibly.

'What nonsense am I thinking? I'll be born!'

'Mom and Dad will of course cherish me,' I cheered myself up.

"Helen, you have to live for both of us."

"You must live happily and fruitfully," Davis stated firmly.

Every unborn baby is granted a final wish before their transfer.

"Davis, what will your final request be?" I asked curiously.

"It is a secret," he abruptly smiled mischievously.

I shuddered.

"Just remember that if some accident happens, you'll be able to make a preposterous wish," he wore an impish smirk.
