Chapter 24 - Chapter 23: To Sorsogon City!

"I'll tell you in person. How about let's meet up at Sorsogon City at the park?" Alessandra suggested happily. They wouldn't even know that she was sad earlier if they didn't experience it themselves.

"Alright. When?" Shin asked.

"Tomorrow at 8am. See you there!" Alessandra said as she hung up.

"Who was that?" Shaun asked curiously.

"A former classmate of mine." Shin replied.

"Well what did she say?" Shaun asked.

"She wants me to meet up with them at Sorsogon"

"Oh, we can go together!" Shaun said happily.

"And what are you going to do there?" Shin asked.

"Are you stupid? I go to school there!" Shaun replied.

"Really?"

"Yeah. You've been awake for months but you didn't know until now?"

Shin chuckled awkwardly.

And the morning came.

Shin and Shaun took the bus at 5 in the morning and went straight towards Sorsogon city.

Shin daydreamed as they travelled because this was the first time in three years that he left Irosin. It was all very nostalgic. What he did notice was that the trees on the road were very tall, reaching up to the sky. It was like he was in a different dimension. He was fascinated by the sight .

After an hour, they arrived at Sorsogon city.

The city was unlike three years ago. It was more developed. Towering buildings could be seen all around. Unlike in Irosin, the people here in Sorsogon easily adapted to the worldwide changes. They had also a big amount of SMBs as the majority of the people moved here for protection.

The reason why Irosin wasn't as developed as other towns and cities was because of the fact that their population diminished greatly. With a minimal amount of people living in the town, the economy wasn't thriving.

"I'll be going to school now Kuya." Shaun said.

"Take care and be at home before it gets dark!" Shin reminded.

Shaun nodded, waved his hand and then ran off.

"Now, where to go..." Shin murmured to himself.

The time was only about 6:30 and he had two more hours of time to kill.

'Stats open' he thought.

439 crystal stone pieces in his inventory would easily amount to well over 5,000,000 pesos as the weight of each crystal stones differed. Some were bigger and some were smaller. This was a very big sum. Most families would be able to live with this sum for maybe 2 or 3 decades. But Shin, an 18 year old was able to accumulate such a big amount  in just three short months. Others would take years but because Shin had his Purple God Eyes ability, his speed in killing was unreal. This amount didn't include the crystals that he gave for his mother's stay in the hospital and the amount that he gave his brother as an allowance and his tuition fee.

Shin stood there for a moment and thought about what to do.

He decided to go to a trade store and exchange a portion of his crystal stones into cash. He took out his wallet which he bought in Irosin and looked at the cash that he had left.

2,120 pesos.

It was enough for him to get by.

After a few moments, he arrived at the trade store.

"Hello! What can I do for you!" The man said. Usually there would be dozens of people lined up but since it was early in the morning. He was the first costumer.

'Ah f*ck. It's too early and yet I have a costumer already? I still want to sleep. And he's only a D rank.' the man thought as he sneered inwardly. Very opposite to the jolly personality that he displayed.

"I want to exchange these"
