'His eyes are orange. A D rank SMB!' The group all had the same thought.
"Shin, when did you wake up?" Clem asked.
"Three months ago. I guess." Shin said.
"What?? You were already awake for 3 months? How come nobody ever told us??" Frank said in frustration.
"I don't know." Shin shook his head.
"I learned that my father died on the first dungeon outbreak. I learned that he was killed by an orc. Torn to shreds..."
"And when the morning came after I went home that day, someone informed me that my mother was in critical condition! What's worse, she had no left arm."
Shin sighed.
"What?..." The group also looked at him in pity.
"But I'm alright. Just seeing that you all are safe makes me happy" Shin tried to smile but bitterness was evident.
"That reminds me, where are all our other classmates?" Shin asked.
The group suddenly fell silent and the atmosphere turned eerie.
"Most...most of them are de-dead" Paul took the initiative to say. He knew that the others were still scarred by what had happened. But somebody had to tell him.
"WHAT?" Shin said. He felt his soul leave his body for a moment there.
He imagined the classmates that he spent time with for 3 years. Most of them are dead?
"Yeah. 80% of Irosin's population became ill, if not dead remember?" Paul said.
Shin fell into silence.
"But it's not like ALL of them died." Jane tried to smooth in the gloomy atmosphere.
"Some just moved into the city. Andito karamihan sa Sorsogon" She continued.
"They all knew that Sorsogon's defense and SMBs were much more powerful than in Irosin." Irish said.
"Like mine. My parents were scared shitless when the first dungeon break happened. That's why we fled here. Away from the troubles." Jane said.
"Mine too." Paul said.
The others also nodded.
Shin fell into deep thought for a moment and then asked, "Are the 6 of you the only survivors from our class?"
Clem shook her head. "No. The others that lived just moved further away from Irosin."
"But it was pointless since other meteors also fell down from almost all of the cities and towns in the philippines. As well as the whole world." She continued
"Shin... That day, what happened? Why was Jay never admitted to the hospital like you were?" Frank asked.
Shin told them everything that happened. How Zii almost fell on a cliff. How they found the meteor. How Jay first fainted, him and then presumably Zii.
"Wow..." Paul couldn't believe what he had just heard.
"That means that there is a chance that Jay is alive?" Irish asked.
Shin fell into silence but nodded and said,
"When it's him, I know he'll survive. He's very smart"
The others nodded.
"Then Zii... Where is he?" Jane asked.
Shin shook his head. "When I woke up, I couldn't find him. The doctor said that he left a year ago back then..."
"He left a year ago? That's strange... He didn't even tell us y'know" Alessandra said.
"Yeah. With Zii's personality, I know that he would inform us once he left." Clem said.
Hearing their words, he now thought that it was weird.
'Did something happen to Zii too?' Shin thought to himself.
'I'll find what happened to the both of you. Jay and Zii.' he thought to himself a his eyes shined a glint of purple for a brief second.
"Well, how about you guys? How were you these three years?" Shin asked.
"We managed to get through it." Paul said with a smile.
The others also smiled.
"I'm glad." Shin said as he also let out a smile.
"Anyways Shin, you're a D rank SMB?" Frank said.
Shin nodded.
"Then what are your powers?" Frank continued. They were just 18 year olds after all. It was natural that they would be curious.
"I'm just a normal warrior type SMB" Shin said.
It's a lie.
I'm a necromancer.
But he can't tell them that. Not just yet.
"How about all of you?" Shin asked.
"I use a katana that my grandfather left. I'm also a warrior" Alessandra said.
"I generally use a short knife or dagger. I guess you could say I'm an Assassin?" Paul said.
"I use a fire axe. Warrior" Frank said
"I use a bow" Irish said.
"I can sense how many enemies there are within 20meters"
