"Baby, don't cry. Baby, don't cry..." The little guy finally quieted down in Abigail's arms after a while, and became even more dependent on her. Kelly approached with a look of wanting to cry.
Brandon saw this. "Get him to sleep first. I'm sorry to trouble you, Miss Green."
As he spoke, his gaze instinctively glanced at the area where the little guy was snuggling before awkwardly looking away. Without waiting for Abigail to respond politely, he turned and walked out.
Abigail curiously looked at the man's back and then lowered her head to comfort the child.
The frightened little guy was not easy to soothe and extremely dependent on Abigail. It took her more than an hour to free herself. The wound that had been torn open today due to rescuing a patient was already unbearable. When Abigail left the nursery, she was quite unsteady on her feet.
The guests downstairs had already dispersed. Only Brandon and Pullan remained in the living room.
