"That old man should be a little more understanding of my little girl, it was not intentional anyways." Lord Torsten said amusedly, before turning to his daughter...
____________
"Father understands my dearest, father will speak to your master about this. Concerning your studies, henceforth father will personally train you on martial arts,"
"Regarding your spiritual energy, it is truly too powerful for your young age. You will need to learn to control it or you will do more damage than good with it, on that note, your maternal uncle, the royal beast tamer will arrive Ardenurve in a few weeks."
" This uncle of yours initially refused to accept any other disciple apart from the royal prince but father received a message from him today that he wanted you as his disciple,"
"Perhaps because of your outstanding achievements or perhaps because you are the only child of his beloved sister... Father believes it is the latter." Lord Torsten said to his daughter teasingly, Myrina huffed in indignation.
"Neither of those two, it must be as a result of my elegant, noble, compassionate and benevolent character." Little miss Arden countered her father's words, the audience hall was once again filled with laughter at her words
"I assure you My dearest, you are none of those things." Lord Torsten teased his daughter amusedly,
Myrina Arden fixed her father with a disapproving glare, Lord Torsten chuckled before his expression turned serious.
"You must take your studies seriously, do not get comfortable because you have achieved so much, you can still do alot better. Father expects alot more from you, do not disappoint me." Lord Torsten said in a serious tone.
This was the kind of man the lord of Ardenurve was, always wanting his daughter to do better, making sure she became the best she could be, he was an amazing father and to young Myrina, her father was her entire world and more.
"Myrina understands father's intentions, I will not let you down." Myrina promised solemnly with a bow,
Lord Torsten nodded and dismissed his daughter, Myrina turned around and left the hall, but not before sending one final glare at General Gregor.
______________
Myrina Arden strolled casually out the Arden castle, flashing a small smile at Kare who awaited her outside.
Kare was Myrina's Kaitsja (bonded protector), he had been by Myrina's side since she was birthed,
At the young age of fifteen summers, Kare was already an outstanding warrior at the ninth level of the Sage Novice Realm had long surpassed his peers and qualified for service in the army.
However Kare's cultivation level was the least of his successes.
Kare was an excellent martial artist, he wielded a long sword and was an expert in handling his weapon of choice.
Kare was very cold and quiet in nature and tended not to speak much, Myrina Arden was mostly the only one who could get the quiet teenager to speak,
It was one of the reasons Lord Torsten decided he would be perfect as Myrina's Kaitsja.
"Young miss is done causing trouble, I hope?" Kare asked Myrina amusedly, Myrina passed her protector an innocent look.
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about minu kaitsja." Myrina replied in an innocent tone,
Kare scoffed and Myrina's lips stretched a wide grin, before leading the way towards the garden in search of her mother.
Myrina quickly hid behind a bush when she caught sight of the Lady of Fort Ardenurve and previously Myrina's mother.
Lady Tora Arden strolled through the snow, checking on each of the flowers and plants in the garden, making sure they had not withered due to the weather.
Fort Ardenurve was a peculiar terrain in the Kingdom of Vallarta, and this was because Fort Ardenurve was well known for it's bitter winters, all year round.
Most people did not prefer visiting Ardenurve due to the trying weather but for the natives of Ardenurve, they were already quite accustomed to it and actually loved it.
The citizens of Ardenurve also did not have difficulties as most people thought they would due to the fact that nothing could grow in such unforgivable weather,
It was why the whole of Vallarta was constantly in awe of the fact that Fort Ardenurve was the most prosperous of the ten major fortresses and the most financially abundant, the secret of this laid in Lady Tora Arden and her kind.
Lady Tora Arden was one of the forest folk, a tribe who had an natural affinity to control nature.
The forest folk of Vallarta were completely loyal to the Arden family and had been for generations,
With their help, Ardenurve was able to plant and cultivate crops just like any other fortress or even better despite the weather condition,
Proof of this fact was in Lady Tora's personal garden which was flourishing beautifully despite the frozen ground, Lady Tora's magic helped the flowers withstand the cold conditions.
Myrina stared at her mother with a wide smile on her face, just watching her mother like this made the young Arden happy.
Myrina felt it was no wonder her mother had Lord Torsten wrapped around her little finger, and her mother's tribeswomen had done the same to the previous lords of Ardenurve.
It was an amusing but popularly known fact that all the previous ladies of Ardenurve were all women of the forest folk,
The Ardens seemed to have a thing for forest ladies, a thing that was being passed down through generations,
The amusing thing was that, it was not as though it was an agreement between the Ardens and the forest folk,
It was just an odd coincidence that all the lords of Arden fell for the forest women, an odd but amusing coincidence.
Myrina recalled overhearing from General Rago that her father had once sworn he definitely would not wed a forest woman,
Looking at her mother now, Myrina could not help but laugh quietly, it seemed her father had failed and failed terribly.
