The gossip talked about Leah and Max's closeness became hot news all over the campus. Many students do not believe that and are more hated by this nonsensical relationship.
They could saw how often Max visited Leah at the convenience store. They were chatting warmly with bright faces, bright smiles, looking closed and annoyed!
The hatred was growing.
"Yes, Auntie, I know .. I've been trying to tell Auntie's child, I will continue to watch Aunt's children on campus. Until Auntie doesn't have to worry and can work in the mining in peace."
Leon's voice joins his friends in the hallway of the campus. He's talking to Pauline on the phone.
'You know I didn't work in the mining, did you! Don't mock the old women! '
Pauline's fierce voice made Leon chuckle. "I do Auntie, mom has told me everything. I will try to be a good guard dog here, you can trust me." Leon replied with a confident face.
Pauline's voice on the other side sounded incredulous with Leon's casual answer. 'Last time I trusted a cute, adorable dog, she turned out to be a traitor! people said dog a loyal animal to their master she is not! '
Leon frowned, he slightly held his hiss between his teeth, the distinctive sound of a male dog in discomfort. "Auntie, I will contact you again later. I will be watching Max here as much as I can. About the traitorous dog, maybe Auntie should know, not every dog can be used as a loyal pet .."
Leon hung up the incoming call on his cellphone, put the cellphone in his pant pocket, knitted his eyebrows, sniffed with a sharp nose that sculpted sharply.
He felt that there was something strange in here, but he couldn't tell what it was! In the end, he looked confused and lost in thought.
Someone in a black suit pocketed one palm, he got into the elevator, ahead of Leon who looked still confused.
Jack closed his forehead slightly, hiding a disparaging sneer. He shook his head in disbelief at what he just saw.
"They even send a small guard dog in the school area .." he whispered, stifling an amused laugh.
The elevator was almost closed, Leon tried to sneak in. The man still looked confused. He stood in front of Jack - the man in the black suit - they had contrasting faces.
Leon shivered, he felt a pair of eyes were stalking him at this time. Obviously! The person was behind him.
Leon hastily pressed the button for the elevator. He half dashed out of the elevator, as if he was being chased by someone. He bumped into some of his colleagues and hissed saying,
"Sorry .." he immediately ran away down the campus hallway to his class. His feeling is not good.
Max is already in class. He looked at Leon's arrival with an astonished face.
"What's wrong with you? Your face looks panicked." Said Max staring at Leon's pale face.
Leon looked around, he researched the whole class, are there any suspicious people in this room. But everything seems normal as usual.
"What is wrong?" Max repeated his question and followed Leon's gaze, watching his friend's behavior.
Seeing that Max was curious about him, Leon immediately adjusted his attitude. He tried to be as calm as he could. How can he take care of Max if the strange atmosphere can make his guard instincts go down?
"Ah, nothing, Max. You're not home yet?" Leon asked glancing at his watch.
It's five in the evening. There are no more classes, only club organizations, and activities on campus.
Max shook his head in response to Leon's question.
"I'll be home maybe in a moment." Replied Max then.
"We don't have class anymore. We better just go home!" Leon asked half insistently.
He was worried about Max and himself. He felt something strange on campus today. A foreign aura entered their school environment.
"You go first. I have business after seven." Replied Max with a fainted smile.
"What's business?" Leon wants to know and gets involved with Max's business.
Max didn't answer, he tidied up the table, took his bag, and hung it on his shoulder. He got up from the chair, making Leon's face suspicious.
"Where are you going?" Leon asked curiously half to death.
"I have a business, shall I tell you all my business?" Quipped Max.
Leon was silent, unable to speak. He could only scratch his head that was not itchy, staring at Max's back, leaving the classroom before him. His friend was out of the room while he was just entering the room.
"Looking after Max seems like a tough task." Leon quietly gave a desperate tone.

Max already asked what time Leah came home, he intends to take the girl home tonight.
He had been finished class since five in the evening, while Leah would be home at nine in the evening. So, Max had to wait patiently for Leah to come home from work. He intended to wait for Leah at the convenience store. Accompanying the girl worked and maybe can helping Leah a little.
When Max arrives at the convenience store, he didn't found Leah. There are only notes left on the counter.
SELF-SERVICE UNTIL I'M BACK!
That was the line notes on the board.
Max smiled faintly, pocketing his hands. He was pretentious, replacing Leah at the checkout counter.
He thought it was not too difficult to scan product barcodes. He can be helping Leah.
Saw-Max at the checkout counter did not take long, the convenience store became crowded. Coinciding with campus home hours, many students are deliberately looking for snacks or just looking for the attention of the campus prince who suddenly becomes the cashier today.
Then where is Leah?
The girl is carrying a bag filled with snacks and ready-to-eat food in her hands. Her steps look fast and dexterous.
"They say the instant food at Belen's shop is just trash. Now they buy in bulk!" Leah grumbled in disbelief. "They are healthy kids, have two legs and two hands, so why are they asking me to deliver all this? You spoiled brats! How can he used Belen!" Leah was still babbling as she got into the elevator.
Seeing Leah getting into the elevator, Jack rounded his eyes. "Ah, here you are!" Jack whispered to himself. He smiled a little.
Leah not noticing of Jack's presence behind her.
What she noticed was the whisper of the girls pointing at her.
"Have you ever see who smelled rotten like trash?" Whispered one of the girls to the friend beside her.
"Yes, I heard that now a trash girl also dreams of becoming Cinderella!" Her friend's replied with cynicism on her face.
Leah felt bad even though she didn't want to think negatively. To her, she didn't smelly. She had checked her body odor many times since morning. She felt that she had cleaned herself properly.
"A lot of girls are reckless these days, selling bodies just to be recognized in social circles!"
Leah felt uncomfortable in this elevator. She wanted to get out as soon as possible.
Jack glanced at the two gossip girls beside him. He squinted and read the thoughts of these two envious girls.
Jack smiled a little, he stifled a laugh as he read the head of the first girl.
'She's got a nice body, her face is pretty good too. But, she doesn't deserve our prince! She shouldn't be here! She made me wanna do plastic surgery! '
Jack could hear a scream inside the head of the first girl.
As for the second girl, Jack knit his brows, his smile turning cynical.
'I'll spoil what you have. If I can't get him, you can't get him either! You are lowly, trash, disgusting. I will injure your face until he screams in horror when he sees your face! '
Jack took a deep breath, exhaled slightly loudly until the two girls beside him gave a strange glance. The man doesn't care. He was handsome, tall, cool, and looked rich, which made the two students hesitate.
Ting!
The elevator doors opened. Leah immediately stepped out followed by Jack.
The two girls behind Leah just came out.
BRUK!
The second girl fell, slumped on the marble floor.
"Ouch! Oh my God! My feet!" She shouted, grimacing in pain.
She wore a shorts skirt with ankle booth shoes. She stumbled and fell as soon as she got out of the lift.
"You pushed me on purpose, didn't you!" She accused her friend, the first girl.
Leah turned to the two girls behind her. One is still grimacing, sitting on the floor with her face holding back tears.
Another person had a confused face mixed with annoyance, she didn't push anyone when she got out of the elevator.
"I didn't push you! Why did you accuse me!"
"I know you're jealous of me. You don't like me, right! I've heard you flirt with my lover! You accidentally hurt me. Geez, my knee is bleeding .." she kept on babbling, grimacing in pain.
Leah saw that the girl's knee was bleeding. She bent down and drawn a friendly smile.
"Can you stand up? Let me help." Leah was kind enough to bargain.
"Go away, you smelly girl! Don't touch, don't come near me!" She shouted startling Leah.
Hearing those malicious words, Leah realized, so they had been talked about her since earlier. She rose from her bent position. She straightened up and turned around quickly. "Up to you!" Leah replied, stepping lightly leaving the arrogant girl earlier.
"You! How can you said that I seduced your lover!" Reply to the first girl, raised her voice.
"I saw my lover's tinder account, you and him texting!"
"It's because you're selfish, he's bored of you!"
"What did you say! You damn it! Ouch .."
The two friends continued to argue and fight behind Leah's back. She doesn't care.
Grab!
Someone took the shopping bag in Leah's hand.
The girl was surprised and even more shocked to see the man who was wearing a big smile beside her. A tall man with neatly combed ash hair.
"Need help?" He said with a warm face plus a warm smile
Leah knit her brows. She tried to remember this familiar face.
"It's good to see you again!" Jack said after, he helped carried Leah's shopping bags.
"Wait, you .. you're that man!" Leah's forefinger pointed at Jack's face, she was still unsure of her memory.
"Did you think? Is there any handsome and cool face like this in your life besides me? I'm sure you won't easily forget a face like this!" Jack replied confidently.
Leah frowned, disliking the confidence of this man beside her.
"Why are you here?" Leah asked then.
"I also want to ask you the same question." Jack's reply sounded annoying. "Where are you taking these snacks?" Jack asked the shopping bag in his hand.
"In the office of the campus organization board." Replied Leah. They are on their way to the room.
"Oh yes, we should talk after delivering this!" Asked Leah with a serious face. She had to find out the important question about that night! She felt something strange about Jack.
"Of course, I also do not want to miss an important moment chatting with you, Your Majesty .." Jack replied politely, he bowed and smiled. Pay respect to Leah.
"You're so weird!" Leah hissed irritated by Jack's behavior. "Give me the bag, I have to take it to the office room."
"All right, I'll wait here!" Jack replied with a face full of patience.
