Gerald didn't recruit Lillian solely because she was an aerial performer, he recruited her because she was really flexible, couldn't be caught easily while running from someone, and she knew how to stay out of a CCTV's view. She had learnt how to sneak past motion detectors and through lasers from someone from another heist team.
Zander gave Olivia and Lillian a dopey grin as he closed the box of doughnuts and turned his seat to face them before leaning back on it like he was watching a stripper twirl around a pole. "When we do need to get away which we would probably be doing tonight, my body is fused with the car and mind you… My baby is faster than that flash… whatever person. We're fused so I always burn calories then… Hence the need to keep my energy up."
Zander winked at her and she tsked just as Perry who had opened his eyes and was currently staring at Zander with furrowed brows called out in a not so low volume, "What the fuck does that even mean?"
Olivia burst into laughter while Lillian snickered because of the expression Perry had on his face and Zander gave him a blank look.
"You always find a way to dull my shine," he replied as he drank from his can of soda and Perry sat up, stretching his toned arms above his head.
"How does one dull something that's not shining… that has never shone."
"Oh, come on man," Zander said as he pulled the soda can away from his mouth and Perry shrugged in response before Zander smile, raising his eyebrows till his forehead creased. "You're just saying that because you don't want me to leave you. You miss me already."
Perry wrinkled his nose while leaning back in the chair and scrunched up his face. "Ew, what the fuck. No," he stated in a rush and Whitney burst into laughter, making him turn around to face her.
He had lied. Him saying that he doesn't miss Zander already was a lie because Lillian had caught them drinking in the living room of the safe us in the middle of the night when everyone was asleep two days ago. They had talked about how the team was created, how the both of them had clashed at first, the fun heists that the team had pulled and eventually how the team would be splitting up. It had been very sad to hear and Lillian had actually cried.
"Oh hey there, gorgeous," he called out to Whitney, winking at her, and the corner of her mouth quirked up. Rodney stopped explaining what he was doing to Gerald and slowly turned his head to face Perry, giving him a death stare which earned another wink from Perry.
"Fuck off," Rodney mouth just as Whitney replied in a sultry voice, "What's up handsome?"
Rodney slumped back in his seat with a look of a man that was about to give up all hope on his face and Perry got up from the couch to walk over to where Whitney was sitting.
"Rodney?" Gerald called out as he tapped the shoulder of Rodney who had his eyes fixed on Perry before Perry suddenly picked Whitney up from her seat, making her squeak. Rodney instantly shot up from his seat just as Perry began to carry Whitney off and he shouldered past Gerald to go after the brute.
"Oh my god. Oh my god. Perry, stop," Whitney said in between laughter just as Perry began to run with her in his arms while Rodney chased him.
"Hey, put her down. It's not funny," Rodney called out just as Olivia leaned forward and placed her hands on either side of her mouth like she was about to make a loud announcement.
"But it is!"
Rodney ignored her and focused on chasing Perry and she leaned back against the wall with a deep sigh.
"I'm really going to miss this…" she trailed off and Lillian faced her. "All of you, I'm going to miss all of you. Why did today have to come so fast?" She sounded sad… Olivia has never sounded sad in front of Lillian.
Lillian wrapped her arm around her shoulder and pulled her to herself, running her fingers through her dark blue wavy hair. Olivia sighed again as she wrapped her arms around Lillian's middle just as Perry finally dropped Whitney to the ground, placing her on her feet, and Rodney pulled her to him like she had actually been kidnapped.
"You could always call you know," Lillian muttered and Olivia let out a laugh as she shook her head sideways to indicate a 'no'.
"Who knows, one of you might get caught by the cops or one of the people we have stolen from and give my number up," she replied as she pulled away from Lillian and tossed her hair over her shoulders before crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"None of us will get caught." Lillian stated with a laugh as she pulled her knees up to her face and rested her chin on it. It was more of a prayer because she desperately hoped none of them will get caught. Not tonight, not ever. If one of them does get caught well… she didn't even want to think of that.
"I hope so. I don't want to hear of you guys getting jailed or see some news report of how your body parts were found at a beach," she responded, a smile playing on her lips, while Rodney pulled Whitney back to the table they had been sitting at.
"What country are you travelling to after tonight?" Lillian asked and Olivia quirked a brow at her.
"Why? You wanna visit?"
Lillian shrugged and cleared her throat. "Maybe," she muttered and the corner of Olivia's mouth turned up before she shoved her shoulder.
"Hard pass. I don't want the cops knocking on my door if you and Gerald get arrested."
