Princess Liviana's POV
"There is a lady named Thalia." I started talking while we're walking into the woods. Philip decided to spend his last trip exploring this forest. "She told me that she's my husband's mate." I added. "Back then, I just accepted it, and I wasn't aware of the gravity of a mate to a person."
"Did you ask your husband about it?" He questioned.
I shook my head. "No. May I ask, is there a possibility that you have two mates?" I asked curiously.
"As far as I know, it never happened. You have one and only mate for the rest of your life." He explained.
"Then, what do you think was that? How am I going to know if he's my mate?" I asked.
"If there's no voice from your head telling you that he's your mate. Maybe, the strong connection is enough to prove it." He told me.
"A voice from my head?" I asked, confused. I think I experienced that one time.
"Well, it may be different for you, but mostly that's the case." He said.
"I understand. So, it's either one of the two is telling a lie." I concluded.
"What do you mean?" He questioned.
"Thalia was claiming my husband as her mate while my husband is claiming me as his mate as well. Who should I believe in?" I queried.
"You better ask yourself, Lili. You'll know for sure if Conrad is your mate." He advised.
I nodded. "I think you're right. Thank you." I smiled genuinely.
"Finding a mate is like completing a man's life." He said. "Girls have no idea how they affect us." He said. I shook my head as I pointed him the way to the lake.
"By the way, the crescent moon will appear soon." He reminded me.
"I know. It's getting worse as time passes by." I answered.
"Does your husband know about it?" He asked.
I shook my head. "No. I hope he won't freak out." I said, chuckling.
"Well, everyone has a secret to hide." He remarked.
"I agreed." I said. We continued on our trip while reminiscing our past childhood and our plans. He said that he will stop by again with my brother, Prince Elias.
Prince Conrad's POV
"Who the fck are you?" I asked the rogue wolf who's tailing my Princess. "Why are you following my wife?" I asked angrily. We caught him and brought him here to our underground dungeon to interrogate. It's been half an hour since we started asking him, but he wasn't talking even Odin, and Leo tortured him many times already.
"I found out that your mate and your pup is on the outskirt of town." His eyes widen upon hearing those details from Connor. "You better talk, man. What do you need from our Crown Princess? Did anyone instructed you to do it, or it's your personal decision?" He asked.
"Please don't hurt my family. Someone asked me to do it in return; he will find us a new pack to be part of." He said, trembling in fear.
"Who is this someone?" I asked, trying to control my temper.
"He didn't want to give his name, but all I know is he's a white wolf." He announced.
Connor, Leo, and Odin looked at me in unison. "What the fck are you blabbering about?" I asked furiously. "All white wolves were gone two decades ago." I said.
Twenty years ago, the largest and strongest pack of the allied kingdom was attacked by a large number of rogue wolves. That was a surprise attack, so they were caught off guard and unprepared. For just one whole night, the white wolves vanished.
"I'm telling the truth. I was shocked to see him in his white wolf form. Please spare my life. My family needs me." He pleaded.
"What does he wants from my wife?" I asked again.
"He just told me to tail her and report to him what she was doing. That's all." He answered.
"How long were you tailing her?" Connor asked.
"I just started following her yesterday. I saw her at the market." He said.
The interrogation went on as we asked several things about the white wolf, but he only gave us the description of the white wolf in human form. The sudden appearance of the white wolf is bothering me and the thought that he's interested in my wife. The King should know about this. I don't know if the white wolf is a threat or not. I wonder what he wants from my wife.
"He maybe survived the surprise attack that night. A survivor." Connor said. White wolves are unique among all the wolves around the world. They have a unique ability and skillful pack members. They were very popular according to history.
"I want to see a white wolf." Odin said. "They say white wolves have aqua blue eyes."
"What?" I asked, surprised. "My wife's eyes are aqua blue as well." I stated.
"That's maybe a coincidence. Humans have black, brown, blue, and green eyes." Connor commented.
"I agreed. The Crown Princess has no scent of being a wolf." Odin said.
I shook my head to dismiss the nonsense thought in my head. "I know. I'm must be crazy to think that she's a wolf."
"Rather, you're hoping she's a wolf." Connor blurted out. "I know it will be much easier for you if she's a wolf, but you have to accept the truth that our Luna is a human." He explained.
"Luna?" Odin and Leo shouted in unison. "She's your mate, Alpha?" They asked.
"She is." I confirmed.
"How about Thalia? She said she was your mate, right?" Odin asked.
"I don't know what happened, but my wolf is telling me that my wife is my mate." I said.
First, there was Prince Elias, that I don't mind if they are related. Then, the moron Philip appeared, and now there's the white wolf. How dared me to say that she's not that attractive to fall in love with where in the first place. I've fallen in love with her the moment I saw her wearing that white gown. What exciting and challenging marriage I've got.
