The sudden impact on the building shocked everyone inside of the building. The impact was so massive that it causes all of them to lose balance and fall to the floor.
Axel nods at Fulario before looking back at Sophie and calling her out, "Sophie! Listen to me, we need to get the kids out of here! This place is going down!" he said in a hurried tone as he stares at Sophie who still has a determined stare at her eyes.
"Fine, everyone! Follow me outside! We must evacuate!!" Sophie said as she looks at the group of kids behind her.
The kids stared at each other before looking back at Sophie and nods. Sophie replied with a nod as she looks back at Axel and Fulario.
"Fulario! Boost me!" Axel said as he stares at Fulario.
Shortly after, Fulario took out his pocket watch as he shouted, "Overcharge!" which covers Axel and himself.
"Sophie, you guide the kids behind me. Fulario, you got their back," Axel said as he stares at each person respectively. Both Sophie and Fulario nods as Sophie quickly tries to stand back up as she gave a wave in a rainbow pattern, signing the kids to follow her. They quickly followed her by standing up.
"Ok, let's go!" Axel said as he leads the group to run out of the room. Sophie followed along as she leads the group of kids while Fulario is last, guarding the backside of the group.
The building continues to shake violently as they walk past the entire crumbling building before reaching the main hall. Suddenly, a giant boulder came from the ceiling, falling at them. Axel took out his violet blade and does a quick over the head slash which cuts the boulder clean in half before continuing through the hallway. Axel then reached the door as he waits there while looking back at the group behind him.
"Quickly!!" he shouted. Sophie and the other kids ran past him while Fulario is closing in, signing the last part of the group. He and Axel went out of the building at the same time when the building finally collapses on itself. burying the bodies of that inside of it.
Axel and Fulario were exhausted, but not as much as Sophie and the other kids. They felt relieved. Axel ran towards Sophie as he puts his violet blade back in its sheath before hugging her while kneeling. He holds her tightly as his face gives an expression of unbelievable relief as tears started to run down his face.
"I'm... so glad that you're safe..." he said as he hugs Sophie and Sophie hugs him back while the scales and the burning flame in her eye disappeared in a quick cover of flames.
Fulario looked at the situation as he thought to himself, 'Still, I wonder how did Sophie become an Abnormal.'
"Sophie, dear. Can you tell us how did this happen, why you got scales on your body, as well as why you got those powers?" he said as he holds Sophie's shoulder and looks at her deeply in the eye.
"Well, I was playing with the other kids as well as uncle Tara when suddenly we hear screams coming from the outside. Uncle Tara looked outside but was then terrified and ran back inside. He told us to hide in the old door together, so we did. But just when uncle Tara told us that, those... monsters came inside and started killing the kids inside. We ran to the left way while uncle Tara went to the right way but we were followed by some of the monsters and got some of the other kids. I was scared, but I was more angry and pitiful than scared. So I screamed in my heart, " Please, someone, save us and kill those monsters!" when suddenly I felt a sudden warmth coming from my heart. I stretched out my arm without knowing it and then, the flame started to come out of my hand! I was surprised, but if I can use that power to help others, then I will," Sophie explained when she was suddenly stopped by Fulario.
"Wait, you said you felt a sudden warmth from your heart. Can you describe that part to me in a little bit more detail?" Fulario asked in a curious tone.
"Um, I'm not so sure myself. It felt like when you hug together during winter," Sophie replied with a hint of confusion on her face.
"Anyways, what happened after that, sweetheart?" Axel asked as he now becomes the curious one.
"Ah, yes. After that, I stood between the monsters and the kids that are with me, and without me noticing it, the monsters have been destroyed on the ground and when I looked back, all of them are trapped in a giant orange ball. So I had to find a way to release them. I noticed that my arms were the same pattern as the ball so I just touched it and screamed in my heart, "please open!" then it opened up and the kids are now free."
Sophie paused for a moment before continuing, "That's when.... we heard uncle Tara's screams. It was so loud, it was almost as if he was in a scary place. I was also scared, so I ran with the other kids to hide behind the old door. Then, when all of us got inside, the door was suddenly locked. I was afraid and scared, but I believe, I believe that dad would save us. So we waited there for a long time, maybe around..... 2 hours? Around that time. Then dad came there with Fulario grandpa. I was still alerted so I didn't notice that it was both of you until the building started to shake violently and then I realized that it was both of you." she explained as Axel and Fulario listened carefully to her.
