All this was happening too quickly. I feared we wouldn't succeed in the mission we were going. But we had to try. I had never seen Raptor or even a glimpse of his power, but I somehow felt I was strong now and capable of a leader. I didn't understand where that idea came from.
I had become serious which was a drastic change in my character. We had decided not to carry any bag. That made sense. Why do you want a bag when you are going to die? In my room, I was lying on my bed, thinking about the big day lying ahead of us tomorrow. I had Magnum beside me.
Something told me that this was going to change my life. I didn't know what the other DELTAs were doing in their rooms but I was pretty sure that they weren't sleeping. The thought of facing Raptor kept us away from sleep.
I couldn't sleep the whole night. The room provided me enough space to practice my skills without breaking everything. I practiced for a long time, sat on the bed thinking about news skills, practicing again and so on.
My hunger had vanished. I came to know that it was 6:00 am. I had a bath then put the best clothes I had. (I had this thinking that I should wear good clothes before dying.) The denim jeans suited my plain white shirt which made me look too formal for a fight. I folded the arm length of the shirt up to my elbow so that it looked wrinkled.
Once ready, with Magnum strapped to my waist, I left the room. I was the only DELTA present there. Wade and Rock Flames came to me for company. One by one, when everyone was present there, Wade announced, "Let's go practice… one last time!" He said it so sadly as if he wanted to break our bones every day.
We finished every single test, practiced with each other and precisely aiming to have teamwork. The Saphrop had risen and now totally clear. "I will not be coming with you guys. This battle can only be won by you, DELTAs! I am counting on you." Rock Flames said. Then he turned to me. He had tears in his eyes when he hugged me, almost chocking and killing me even before facing Raptor. "I believe in you. God Ison forbid, if King Jalaar awakens… You are the only one who can save us, Blaze. I am counting on you. Good Luck." He announced. This has happened even before, once. Why does Rock Flames count on me to defeat King Jalaar? I didn't quite understand that but right now, I had a mission to fulfill.
I nodded to him with confidence and looked at the others. "Take us to the other side, the real world." I declared. Wade nodded and led the way. "This is where you all came from." Wade explained as he pointed to the machine in front of us. It was bigger than the others and had a different feel to it. As we came closer, the two doors slid open to show way. We stood inside, Wade and Rock Flames standing outside. He had a small machine with him. He got ready to press the button. "Good luck, DELTAs! Mission: Kill Raptor begins now! On the count of… Three, Two, One-"'
