Chapter 2 - Chapter 1.5 - Far from home

I hear the sound of plane-engines outside. A voice of a woman announced something over the radio. And I am sitting here, blindfolded. What happened you ask? Well, I guess I'll explain to you what kind of ride I went through.

After I fell asleep, some shady people came into my home with the help of my parents unbelievably enough. They blindfolded me and took me into their car. I was still hibernating so I had no clue what was going on. We drove for a couple of hours before ending up at an airport. Still sleeping though. They boarded the next plane to Japan and took me with them. We took off and were on our way. By now I had woken up and panicked a bit. The view was amazing but I couldn't really enjoy it because I got sold out by my parents!

We had landed in Japan about 16 hours later and we were in Japan. I could feel the distance in my heart. It was like a long line being stretched thin. I was still waiting for an answer from these crapheads. A taxi came and I was essentially launched into it. An hour later and I was at some large building. White walls and glass everywhere, suicide nets as well. I'm pretty sure this was supposed to be a prison. It was something similar to that.

I'm currently sitting in the headmaster's office. Skyblue walls and black tiles for a floor. All the furniture looked antique-inspired. These guys weren't kidding when it came to showing status. The headmaster sits in that typical black suit, black hair, and a well-groomed beard. His eyebrows are tensing up a little bit, and he's staring a hole through the guy to my left. I feel bad for that guy. "Tachibana-san, I told you to convince him to come, not kidnap him. If he chooses to report this, then we have problems. Even if his parents permitted you to take him with you." shouted the headmaster aggressively. "You will get fired next time you do anything this stupid! Now get out of here!" The leader of the group rushed out of the room like it was life or death. A tear is traveling down his cheek at a snail's pace. I feel ice-cold suddenly, and as I turn, his laser-eyes has turned to me. "Now then, child of the north, shall we talk about your stay here." He asked. You could feel his disappointment filling the room, was it me? "Ehm, yeah, let's talk, you know, about all this I guess," I said as I froze. His eyebrows finally relaxed, and his eyes looked a lot kinder now. I could feel the ice in my chest slowly melting now. He actually doesn't seem that bad for an offbeat-warden.

We talked for about an hour after that situation. So it seems I am at that international school thing, I knew I was at some school so that does not come as a surprise. I will be living in a dorm, food will be served in a canteen, and we have entertainment rooms as well. God, I hope they have the gamebox 7! Wait, what was I talking about? oh right, the prison. So there will actually be people from all sorts of places, of course not from every country, but many. I heard that some Italian guy had already learned Japanese here, fricking legend, but I shall master it before any of them does!

"Well, I hope you will like it here. I know we gave you a rough start but, I hope you can forgive us." begged the headmaster. He sure seems to love his school, to be this good towards new students. Can probably expect the usual hell from him later on though. "Well anyway, We have actually not introduced ourselves properly have we?" he claimed. Now that I think about it, we have been talking to each other for more than one hour without knowing the other's name! Wow, how did I actually forget? "Oh right, well I am Logan Zachary, and you?" I commented. "I am Kintaro Watanabe. Good to meet you Zachary-san." He replied. "Yeah, good to meet you Watanabe-sensei," I said.

I stayed here from now on, learning Japanese with that Italian guy and a couple of others who came early. I miss my home, and my workshop especially, but I can't really leave without money can I? I befriended a couple of people, and this Russian guy was especially cool! Then we started the actual school year, and it seemed to be going smoothly at first, but then things turned from heaven to hell. This American guy, Martin Williams, started targeting me. He had the attitude of a seagull going after chocolate cake. I couldn't get this guy off my ass. After some time, other people started seeing me in a worse light as well. Why? the hell if I know! I became an outcast, guess that is the fate of the otaku.

I'm sitting by my desk, reading some articles on katanas and Japanese weapons. It's quite interesting, to be honest, you have the Tachi, Nodachi, normal katana, all sorts of blades with even bigger handles. "Ey edgelord! When are you gonna spawn that demon army of yours?" Martin giggles. I lock my eyes onto the screen. My senses are going into overdrive so I can dodge a punch if it comes. "EY SHITHEAD! TELL ME! Since you are all up in your weapon research then you should have it going, right!?" He shouted, mocking me with all his might. God fricking damn it, I hate this guy. "Shitary, answer Martin when he talks, don't you normally show respect to superiors?" Caleb states. He has this frown on his face, and he is staring daggers into me. Caleb Fischer, essentially Martin's dog. He is german from what I remember. He also has a few screws loose. "I have no intention to join your little game of fetch, Caleb!" I say with an angry tone. I turn my head and stare back at him. This burning heart of mine flows with hateful emotion. Enough to maybe spawn that demon army Martin was talking about. Caleb clenches his fists, then he strikes. You see the wind fighting to get around his paw, almost igniting the atmosphere around it. It hits my cheek, making waves across my face and throwing me off my chair in a sudden collision. It wasn't unusual, but it stings nonetheless. "You got what you deserved! Now beg Martin for forgiveness!" The dog barks.
