I went closer to the door of the cubicle and was finally able to hear her a bit more clearly. She sounds so distressed about something and her voice was trembling
"Sorry. I didn't mean to. I already said sorry for what I did before. I didn't mean to hurt anyone, I just felt so alone. I just wanted to live a normal life again. I'm finally better! I'm finally starting over again, why those she have to use my past against me." She said, slurring her words together.
I hesitantly knocked on the cubicle door and the sobbing abruptly stopped.
"Vodka? Are you okay?" I asked unsure of how she would react.
"Who is it?" She asked stifling her sobs.
"It's Mitch." I answered, then I heard rustling from inside the cubicle.
"I'm fine. I'll be right out." She replied to me and a couple more minutes the cubicle door opened.
"Are you sure you're fine?" I asked her, she smiled at me shyly then walked pass me towards the sinks and started washing her hands.
