My body became numb as I saw her lifeless body when the lid was lifted. Her face was pale, the tips of her fingers are bleeding and I couldn't even tell if she's still breathing or not. Vin quickly lifted her out of the box and laid her in the grass beside it.
"Vodka. Please wake up. I need you to wake up." Denise cried out as she shake Vodka's shoulders, but it was no use. She didn't stir or even move an inch.
"I don't think she's breathing." Angel said, that cause Denise to panic even more. She held her head high and started performing CPR on her. I could hear her counting under her breath as she pumps her chest in between blowing air into her mouth. Tears where rolling down her face as she did so, and I can't blame her. She's still her friend and even after everything that happened between all of us, in the end she still did the right thing. She still choose to be on our side, with the knowledge that she might end up exactly where we just found her.
