Chapter 29 - Chapter 27 Back Tracking

James pov

After the ball, I had to bide my time waiting to have the coven ask me to rule. Surely enough that time came after a week it worked. I had to take the reins slowly the coven was in turmoil though I liked the chaos it was time for me to stop and calm them. The time I had the power my first decree as if Samson was seen or found as a traitor to our coven and to our kind he should be killed on site.

Emily if seen was to be returned to the coven along with the rest of their wayward companions so as to teach them a lesson of their place and wayward misguided loyalties. And to protect them from Samson and his corruption and possibly save them from his murderous ideals.

Mother was doing non-stop magical searched and had set up alarms and protections if they neared on the covens and its property. She was angered even with me that they had escaped. She foresaw a battle between them coming to us and destroying us me dying and my mother being destroyed as well. She refused to let it come to that to them coming to us was not an option we had to kill them before this happened while they were still weak. Using this information she "warned" the coven of this saying "Samson will come to destroy all of us and kill any that opposed him like he did his father.

The warriors that had stayed in the coven house had immediately upon hearing my mother's words set about preparing. I reached out to rouge mutts offering them substantial pay to guard the coven during the day and to help to try to track my wayward bother and his crew. Nothing came other than the day protection of the tracking, not a word. But I knew something would with time, especially using my mother and her gifts.

After the wolves had nothing to report I went to my mother. I paid her a visit in her chambers. She was there with two cups of tea waiting for my arrival upon entering her domain she offered and poured me a cup. "I know where our lost prisoners are though I'm surprised you did not come to ask me sooner son." She sneered at me "How could you let them slip your grasp James is very disappointing especially as they have now gained the support of the wolves a very powerful ally for them. "She sneered the name, I lowered my head and tried to avoid her gaze she reached out and smacked my face.

"You fool we were so close to their ruin and demise now that have a chance, a chance to prove you wrong that girl is no mere vampire and her father isn't a vampire at all he is a warlock she part witch herself. They are an ancient line one more powerful than my own. You failed to keep her here you could have had time to seduce the girl she hadn't learned to use her powers instead you merely lock her away. Thinking she won't escape and yet now here we are no leverage over Samson and lost tools powerful ones we could have used you stupid boy useless you are useless."!!Said Griseld my mother raised her hand to smack me again.

I spoke up before she swung again "I apologize mother what can we do to fix this?" Griseld sighed "Lucky for your son your mother always has backup plans for all possibilities and knows exactly which wolf pack the fools went to. They are at the royal pack unfortunately they control all other packs most wolves you will need their help now as well. Most wolves you will be able to get will be bribed or have to be as they would be rouges. You will now have to find every rouge you can and you will have to pay them like mercenaries. We may need other reinforcements as well trolls perhaps. Trolls are nasty tricky beast smelly too stupid if you know how to deal with them though as I do. Especially stupid if you offer them a treasure not telling them the kind of treasure if they do a task for you they will accept the task no questions." I nodded to my mother I would do all she said and suggested for I knew without this our endeavors would fail.

My mother was a good strategist and a very tactical woman I had learned this growing up. Thinking it over I also added to my mother what of the Faye? Fairies are powerful and have abilities due to their between world status" I said. My mother smirked at me; "well now you're using those brains of yours, yes ...I think I know how to summon one but we need and offering for them as well as we would need to clear all others off the land while we did this. Send the army to attack the wolves while they go to 'retrieve Samson the traitor'. We shall summon a Faye we shall need an offering not to just attract them but to give them a contract as well. Faye loves children but Emily's child dies they love newborns above all else but well that's not an option we could take one of the younger children of the coven with us. I will write a leaf letter to see if that will draw their attention. As well I will make them a spot all their own on the lands where we will place their offerings. We will need some ginger oils, cedar oils, nutmeg cinnamon, brown sugar. Perhaps after this, we shall be paid a visit.

I will find us a fairie circle you gather the youngest child you can and bring them to the forest with you we will place our offerings in this fiarie circle." James set servants to search and asked all the young children to be gathered in the grand hall for a "gift" there he had a small child's party set up. There all the children were to gather to play after all that had happened he told the coven the children need to be children for a day. While he gathered them he assessed the age and choose the youngest offering her a chance to get flowers to give an older boy she obviously followed like a lost puppy dog. The parents accepted this and thought he was mealy showing care for those of the coven and as the girl was very shy she rarely played with the other kids due to being so much younger only three they allowed this.

Meanwhile Giseld his mother gathered herself to wait by the circle saying spells and prayers to the Faye and god and goddess to help her endeavors. When the child arrived and was told to pick the mushrooms in the circle they arrived with a tinkle of laughter and ignored Giseld but took her offering, all the same, they refused to give Giseld the time of day.

Emily's pov

We had fought off the first attack but now they knew where we are and this den of wolves and its pack were no longer safe. All because of Samson and my prescience
