Samson's pov
I was thankful for Gerold, but I knew this fight should have been mine, and mine alone. I regretted coming here and involving the wolves as I feared many could be hurt. Gerold gave me no indication that he regretted his invitation. I gave Gerold a small smile and nod in my gratefulness and i was sure he saw and knew what it was for as he did the same toward me.
Emily's pov
This shouldn't have been. I went to the ribbon grimoire and asked "is there a way to make all see what the truth was that night. Perhaps even call to have those that know the truth come to our aid?
My grimoire ribbon glowed I snapped the ribbon and the book appeared and opened itself. It opened upon a page saying.
The truth spell
(This was the first spell id seen in English but it was on a newer piece of paper the book was filled with many types of paper new and old.)
Recite:
For those who want the
Truth revealed
Open hearts and secrets unsealed
From now until it is now again
After which the memory ends
Those who now on this land will hear the truth from others' mouths and see with their own eyes. What is truth and the truth at hand?
The book gave me the page as if it had read my mind this time so i hadn't even asked out loud for its help. I said the spell out loud and with a forceful voice and a blast of light and power knocked overall in the area off their feet. All fell and saw the truth of the night of the ball. That James was the true murderer. James men and the coven looked around in shock as did the wolves. Some of James's men that had come to attack ran back the way they had come fleeing the scene. Others surrendered to the wolves.
The wolves saw in the blast as well and backed off the attack and allowed the vampires to settle themselves. The wolves then rounded together the vampires who willingly surrendered to the wolves no blood had been spilled but many bruised faces were seen from the battle. Bringing the vampires to the packhouse they were brought before Samson and Gerold. The shock was seen not just on those that had surrendered but the wolves as well as they know knew all that had transpired as if they had been there themselves.
The blood laid on James' hands as well as Griseld his mother's. And now all knew the truth Luna Enola looked at me "you're a witch?" she asked I blushed at her shocked expression. "Yes, partly my mother was one as well. Though I'm still learning a witch in training if you will." Enola smiled at me "you wield great power and strength, especially if as you say you are still learning your craft. You must meet my sister she too is a witch though not as naturally powerful she may be able to help you hone your skills and teach you more of your natural abilities." I looked excitedly at Enola "Really you think that she would teach me and show me how to do more?"
A warrior of the pack gave us a signal a short time after this to say all was well and we could come up from the hiding space. The door only opened with a secret code from either side one that only the higher-ups in the pack knew or so Enola explained to me. so while the warrior did not come down we could still hear a coded knock on the wall.
Enola smiled and laughed at my excitement. "She is my sister and my twin though she gained the power I know little I was not blessed as she or you to wield it but I am blessed with my wolf and for that, I am grateful enough. I believe I know my sister well enough to say she would definitely take great pride in teaching a natural talent such as you." I hugged Enola and thanked her smiling back we then joined the men. As we rounded the corner I saw all the vampires were bowing to Samson as we stepped into view.
Vampires were now swearing their allegiance to Samson as I joined by his side. Though the vampires and wolves were tense and uncomfortable being in the same room as one another they tolerated the circumstance. Many of the vampires showed the den their gratefulness of one being one their land and two protecting their true sovereign. My 'Samson the one true king of vampires', as they were coming to call him. Each came forward two at a time to swear themselves and even apologize to the wolves for the attack on them.
Gerold then announced to his pack within the den and I could see some had glossed over eyes as the conversation also took place within their minds of all that had transpired of our story why we were here and our need for their help. Grateful we didn't need to explain ourselves i looked at Samson who was also receiving a nodded bow from the wolves as well. The room grew with affection and loyalty toward both the alpha and new king of vampires. "long live the king Samson may he reign in honor and hail to the alpha Gerold for his honor and grace" shouted a vampire soldier and the rest repeated his words and all clapped and cheered for this.
I felt myself breathe a great sigh of relief. For now, I knew things had to get better. I knew the battle to be over but not the war not yet we still had many of our own against us many merely friends to James. James was never going to give up he was too power-hungry especially as long as Griseld was whispering into his ear.
