Walking into the house after him, she caught the presence of various other people and by the way Dimitri's nostrils flared, she could tell he didn't like their intrusion.
"Gunther, Alexei, what are you both doing here?" He inquires coldly. Looking at his demeanor, he really did resemble the Arctic Snow Wolves of old, said to have no emotions of empathy.
"We heard our dear brother was back so we came to visit" Gunter, the tallest one, replied. He was the second son of Alpha Carrie and he carried all the family traits; long white hair, grey eyes that always had a mischievous twinkle, straight posture and like his brother, a lean but strong body. His legs curled up under the center table.
"We were curious about the vampire so we came here. She's cute" Alexei, the third of Alpha Carrie's children. His white hair was in a short bob cut that reached the back of his long slender neck. One of his eyes were deep blue but he wasn't the only heterochromatic sibling. Alpha Carrie had ten children, two of which had two different eye colors.
He was shorter compared to his older brother but still a head taller than Dimitri, the fifth child. He and Gunther were a pair, a pair of troublemakers and gossips, who owned the whole entertainment rink in Landia.
"She's over there. I don't have time to deal with both of you so talk to her and take her around or whatever" he said, going into the house. Yvaine gave the two a wave.
"You must have it so hard, being bonded with our cranky younger brother. Our condolences" Gunther said with a charming smile. He extended a hand in greeting which Yvaine gratefully accepted. From where he was, Dimitri snorted but it wasn't like they could hear what he was doing. Knowing his brother, Gunther's words were an obvious trap. He was always prying for gossip.
"He's a very rude one but he may not be so bad. At least he submits to authority" she replied, sitting beside him. The two brothers looked at each other and snorted.
"He must've been in a good mood today. Normally, he wouldn't have answered the Father's summons" Alexei said with a smirk.
"Why?"
"If Father summons him, it's to mock him. They have a love hate relationship" Gunther said snickering.
"Hmm" Yvaine looked in the direction of his room and pondered the meaning of their words. He seemed to respect the Father a lot but what was this? What was going on with the warrior werewolf exactly?
"Don't think too much. Dimitri is a mystery that cannot be deciphered by anyone. He's an enigma who was only focused on getting stronger for the longest time and now, he's a remnant of the past, unable to move forward" Gunther said somberly.
Yvaine saw signs of it but she didn't know it was that bad. It would seem like his mind couldn't handle the stress and impact of the war so it decayed over the years. She suddenly smiled.
"That child…...the problem is so easy to fix"
"Eh? You have a way, Yvaine?" Alexei asks, quite surprised.
"Yes. it's very simple. He just needs to get laid" she said with an innocent smile. The brothers stare at her dumbly before bursting into sharp bursts of laughter.
"I forgot that he's the only unmated sibling" Gunther said, still choking on laughter.
"Don't tell me, he's a virgin?"
"No. but he hasn't gotten any in like 200 years. He's been alone for a very long time. Which is why, Yvaine, we are relieved to see you"
"Hmm, are you now?"
"What do you mean?"
"Ever since I've arrived here, every single wolf has shown signs of wariness. It seems only the young ones are unaware. You two happen to know who I am, right?"
"Of course not. But, we can sense what you possibly are. Same as Father. Which is why I'm sure you're a good fit for our little brother"
"But Alexei, you don't trust me"
"You're a vampire, that's completely natural. There are some scars the war could never erase. Especially the Battle at Yore's grounds"
Gunther and Alexei's eyes flashed with rage as the latter mentioned that. Yvaine just listened, unperturbed. The two looked at each other and sighed.
"We just came to see who you are. We would take our leave now. Please, take care of our little brother"
