"Are we there yet? Your daughter keeps trying to bite me."
"Yeah, you best watch those chompers of hers. They latch on and never let go. Ever since she was little; she was like a dog. She just chewed on everything. We had two puppies at the time and in a few incidents, we accidentally blamed the dogs for chewing the stuffed animals, but no. It was her all along. She had chewed them down to the stuffing and would've gotten farther had not I stepped in. Not even a pacifier could tame this beast. She either spit it out…or chewed it dry. So I'd be careful if I was you. Don't want to get too close or else she might bite off your arm."
"Daddy!!"
"Josh, I'm just messing with you. Your arms are like rubber bands, child. What you gotta watch is your legs cause she'll go for em first."
"Jim, can you roll down the window? I think I'm going to be sick."
" Huh! You can stand blood but not a bite from a cootie catcher?"
"Blaa!! It's not the cooties I'm afraid of. Blaaa!! Napkin!!"
"Here, it's an old shirt from Jade, but I think it'll do the trick."
"Thanks."
"No problem. Tell me, what are you afraid of?"
"That!!"
"Wha…aaaghhh!! I can't stop. She's levitating us into the air."
"Jade!!"
"Scarlett, they haven't had their taste of helplessness yet. Look at em all the way up there! They're scared pantless."
"Drom em hard!!"
"Hang onto something. We're going down!!"
"Hello Jim!!!"
"You two get to Ecrin while I'll deal with these two roadblocks."
"Going somewhere!! Haven't you heard; the pavement ends here."
"Josh, step on it! Get us out of here!!"
"I can't. I'm stuck."
"Here, let me."
"Austin, what are you doing? He's controlling you can't you see?"
"Sorry mom! Nobody controls me."
"Look at that go. Our sweet little angel is all grown up. It almost makes your old man cry just watching it happen. Jade, you missed a lot while you were…ehemm…sleeping! Her love for you must've waded with the setting sun. It's a shame really. She'll never see her mother at the reception."
"Fine, if I can't have her then I'll gladly take you instead."
"Ooo. we're gonna tango! I like the sound of em words. It gets me fired up everytime you say that. It's been so long since I have had the pleasure of hearing them. Come here baby."
"Rarr! Just hold still already."
"Mmm! You got claws now I see."
"Kerina! Scarlett!! Go stop the truck."
"It's going too fast. What if we can't stop it in time and they make it to Ecrin?"
"Just slow them down. I don't care if they make it because they need one of us there at their wedding to physically pass off the crown anyways."
"Yeah!! That someone is not going to be you!"
"It's not going to be you either. SPEARS OF FIRE!!"
"Shield of Kon! You can't win, Jade. Give up the fight now before it's too late. You and your daughter are no more stronger….than those half-breeds!! All it took was a little sprinkle of doubt here, a little there, a little up, a little down, and a little all around; until it was everywhere. My rumour about you spread like wildfire and pretty soon all eyes were not on me anymore but you.
Now all I had to do was sit back and let you two dual it out until none of those pesky unwelcomed half-breeds remained. That was just one more thing to check off my to-do list. So thank you, Jade. You were at least good for one thing."
"Are you sure none of them survived?"
"What do you care? You killed them all with your own hands."
"Wrong! It was you who poisoned their minds and turned them against me. What would happen if the same thing you meant for harm was instead turned on you."
"Put me down right now. I am your king and demand you obey me."
"Who was the only one gifted with powers? Me! So you're not going anywhere and henceforth are no longer my king. Scarlett!!!"
"Wait, wait, wait! You may kill me, but you will never be able to stop what has been set in motion. I may not currently sit on Ecrin….but my son does."
"Son!! Scarlett waiiitt!!!"
