After we got back on the horses and took off into town more. Alvion stopped by a large collection of townspeople. I looked over to the people to see multiple stands of food, clothing, jewels, and much more. I climbed off of Freya and began to guide her to the multiple shops. I didn't realize Alvion was beside me until he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Well, which stall do you want to stop at first?" he asked while leaning onto me some. "How about the one with the jewels? I feel like there is something there." I answered while looking into his crimson red eyes. "Okay then follow me," he said with a large grin.
I followed Alvion through the large crowd. We finally stop at a table with many gems, jewelry, and accessories. I looked over everything but my eyes stopped on a large red broach. It had black detailing surrounding the stone. I reached out for it only to get my hand slapped away hard. "Ow," I yelled as I pulled my hand back fast. There was an old lady behind the table looking at me. "I'm sorry princess you must not touch that one without a cloth. It has a certain power in it," she said as she dug through a basket.
She pulled out a rag and picked up the broach. "This broach was recently found in a forest and the last person who touched it died immediately. I do not want hard to come to you" Alvion had walked over to the next stall and was buying something but I couldn't see what it was. I looked back over to the lady she was very skinny with long dirty brown hair. She was very short too. She put the broach into the cloth and handed it to me. "What kind of power is in it?" I asked the lady, curiosity getting the better of me. Well, you see only the one who was destined to have the stone can hold it. It is supposed to create everlasting life and strength." she said as if she was scared by it. I reached out to it and before my hand reached it, it began to glow white. The little old lady dropped it but it didn't hit the ground as I caught it with my bare hands. The lady looks at me like she had seen a ghost. I looked her in the eyes, "What? I asked her once I look at her. "How have you not died yet. Why is it glowing? Follow me to the back princess." she says to me.
I yell to Alvion and tell him everything. "How can you be so stupid. What if it killed you huh? What would I do then? What would you do?" I just look down at the red stone in my hand and follow the only lady to a house. My whole mood had hit the floor. I was no longer feeling warm and cozy as I was before. I didn't even feel happy. I felt like for some reason I was in a lot of trouble if I let the stone go.
I held onto the stone tightly as I sat down in a seat across from the old lady. "Your Majesties. I have don't massive amounts of research on this stone along with the knowledge that was passed down over the year from my family. My fifth great grandfather was the one who discovered this stone in the oceans in the south. I will tell you the story if you would like. But first, let me tell you what will happen now that you have the stone."
I looked at Alvion with a worried face. He reached out and put his hand on my knee to give me some comfort before the old lady spoke once again.
-------- Alvions POV --------
I was paying a man for a beautiful dress for Atti when I heard her yell for me. I walked over to her and seen an unusual red stone in her hands. She explained to me what this old lady had told her. We followed the old lady to a house behind the stall and once we walked in she pointed us to a seat. I sat down beside Atti and watched as she was shaking like a leaf in autumn. I put my hand on her knee to try to calm her down. She looked at me and gave me a kind smile.
