The mirror world...
Medina walked to the eagle and extended her hand out, an orange light moved out and turned to a paper that had notes on it. Waving her hand in the air, a letter pod appeared, and the paper dove in.
She wrapped it over her claws and murmured a few words near its head, stepping backward, she stopped by my side.
The bird flapped its wings, the snow winded back to us. Everyone watched it flew up to the sky.
"Can we talk more after internment?"
I asked Medina. I wanted her to let the elder and the girl to come to the Inn so we could plan for any sudden attack until help could come to us.
She shook her head but Ramina grasped her arm and said, "please, we can't stand this all alone."
"Fine!" She turned to the sheriff, added, "stay vigilant men, no one should sleep until we receive help."
"Yes, Nan, we will watch over everything. Now let's go bury our son."
The Sheriff nodded.
