"What on Earth is a blood Flower!"Rosey said almost screaming her head off.
She was still trying to wrap her head around what he told her.
"I did not just go against everything to hear some make-believe take!"she said in anger.
He kept quiet and left her to recollect her thoughts.
She walked away and slumped on the sofa weak and weary, looking at the ceiling.
"I just gave away my life and my work for a delusional man"She said under her breath in disbelief.
She held back her tears, battling with an army of them.
"Where did you find my book?"he asked, he had fulfilled his promise, now it was her turn.
She kept quiet and mumbled somethings to herself, she was suddenly feeling light-headed.
"I was only four years old when my parents dropped me off at the temple"He said and sighed.
He looked in her direction but she laid there still and unmoved.
"I remember how I begged them not to leave me, I can remember, although not so vividly, how I struggled with the monks.
They revealed to me that I wasn't their son but a baby they found and took in.
And I was not theirs to keep"he said, looked at her, but she was as still as a rock.
"The monks and mentors taught me many a things, they told me so many things and showed me what I could do"he said.
"They helped me with my gift.
They showed me how to use my gift and I was happy again.
I used my gift for my people, for the mentors and monks, for my parents.
Everyone loves me and my gift, and the smiles on their faces lightened up my mood"
"I was prohibited from ever leaving the temple, it was strictly against the rules.
Along with hope for a better future, there came fear.
I was the most delicate and dangerous descendant"he continued.
"I was taught about the evil lurking around to get me and use me for their own selfish reasons, I was taught to flee from them"he said, he stopped and didn't go on.
Fiction or no fiction, Rosey wanted to know how the story would end.
She sat up, but kept quiet, waiting for him to continue.
"Untill one day, one change...one attack...my life and everyone else's changed"Acker said.
"The evil located me, they wanted me, they attacked the temple, the other descendants were all slaughtered, up till my last breath, I watched one die before my eyes"he said.
"They took everything from me...."he said and got so angry that the wind in the room became restless and rough.
Rosey rushed to close the windows.
He closed his eyes, and opened them, they were green.
Rosey couldn't see that brief transformation, the wild wind stole her full attention.
The winds died down and she stood in front of him.
"I've told you most of what I know already, let me go, I have fulfilled your desires, now let me go" he insisted.
"Fine"she said and took the book.
After some minutes, she returned without the book, puzzling Acker.
She untied him and he moved both arms, trying to gain control over them.
He stood up, and she realised how tall he was, she suddenly felt inferior and afraid.
He walked a bit forward, she took steps back, but he had no interest in her.
"Where is the book?"he asked restlessly.
"I've kept it"Rosey said.
He looked Shell shocked.
"You promised to give me"he said.
"You are just going to have to adapt"she said.
"Adapt?"he asked and raised a brow.
"You told me your story, which I doubt us true, but I have a real story and I need real help"she said and sat down.
She crossed her legs, he did look good in sweat pants.
She was fortunate to have accidentally bought that pair of men's clothing.
Acker refused to comply with her.
"I have to leave this place, if the evil ones could find me once before, then they can surely find me now"He said, sounding strictly serious.
"I was born into a silver spoon, I got everything without being asked.
I lost my mother when I was twelve, she wasn't in an accident, she was just unwell, and I lost the woman I called mother.
My father became ruthless and dived into the world of politics. He made me dance to his tunes.
I endured it all, and tried to live my life without his interference getting to me"she dramatically said.
"Till one day my team and I went to an ancient temple and found an enormous plant.
I found a book and a man inside."she said.
Acker stood, tired from sitting, wanting to know more.
"I and my team flew back to our country silently with what we had discovered.
But everyone just wanted the man I found as their own muppet"Rosey said.
"To make things worse, I took a huge risk and...fled with the man and the book"She said.
Acker kept quiet, watching her.
"Now, the man is telling me he's a blood flower and he's in danger, not knowing how much danger I've fallen into myself"Rosey lamented.
Acker cleared his throat and spoke.
"I have to take the book and leave, the longer I stay here the sooner the evil ones will get to me"He stresed.
"They won't be able to find us"Rosey said.
"They will, and it will be too risky to wait and find out"Acker said.
"So, once more, the book"he said with force in his voice.
"If you want the book, then you will have to agree to one last condition of mine"Rosey said.
"And what is that?"he asked.
"I want the book"she said confidently.
"And I want to accompany you"She added.
"You said if I tell you my name you would give me the book, that book should not be toyed with"He cautioned.
"I have no where to go for now, I have to be on the run till father finds me, and you need to escape the evil ones after you.
You and I can stay close together and watch each other's backs"she said.
"I don't want to be the reason for another death"Acker said.
"If you leave me alone and I am found without you, then I'll be dead"She said and looked into his eyes, fixated on them.
"So...Acker, do you agree to my terms and conditions?"Rosey asked grinning from ear to ear.
He hadn't really told her anything she could use, but she figured that if she stuck around longer he would trust her to disclose the truth to her.
