Chapter 16 - Holding hands

I didn't even realize when his hands were holding mine and we both reached the second platform. It was only when my eyes went towards the grip he had holding in my hands. His hands looked giant around mine as they enveloped around them.

"There they are. Let's go. " He said as he pointed towards the other students gathered at a location. Maybe he didn't realize that his hands were still holding mine and I was not wanting to let go of that warmth too. When we were almost reaching the other students they had already left for the other platform which was downwards this time.

I looked back to see if Min was behind us so that we could wait maybe but there was just Lily and her friends. I wonder why Adi is not with her now. She really seems to struggle with her luggage now. Chris pulled me to a direction and just went along with him having no clue of where he was taking me.

Now that I can see him this close, I found his features to be very handsome. Not that I didn't realize that in the cafe that day itself. I just feel like after these months I am seeing a new version of him. His hair was covering a bit of his forehead bringing a little shadow on his face. I had you take my steps faster according to his long legs as he seemed to be totally zoned out of my current situation now. He was indeed tall.

We were at the second platform and Chris informed me that we had another platform to go to and then finally after a few steps we would get into a bus. I took in the information without any quarries as I nodded to him.

"Don't you find it weird that you are just agreeing to whatever I am saying? " He asked, chuckling.

"Why would I find it weird?" I said as I looked at him in confusion. He slowly started to take strides towards the next platform stairs and I followed him.

"You just met me a few days ago and you believe me? What if I leave you here all alone? " He said as he walked.

"Huh? If you wanted to leave me here all by myself why are you still holding my hand? " I asked him straight up.

He automatically let's go of my hand and looks away.I suddenly regretted reminding him that. But I was definite now that I was actually not aware of what he was doing. To get rid of the awkwardness he finally spoke up. "We need to catch up with them. "

We walked a few more stairs and then finally I could see a more open space in front of me. The place was surrounded by announcements and people. The moment I stepped outside the main hall of the railway station the breeze was too chilling for me but still overwhelming and fresh. It was like I have been put into some other world .Everyone was busy ;some of them were about to get on the trains, some were waiting and the rest just like us were returning.

I saw Min waving at me from a distance and beside her was Adi. Now I know why Lily was all by herself earlier. In fact Lily's best friend was also standing beside Adi. I waved her back as we walked more towards them. It looked like they were here to take us home from the station in the way they were smiling at me and Chris.

"You are finally here. I thought you went back home. " Min said as soon as I stopped in front of them to let my backpack sleep from my hands to my feet. Chris stood beside me as he slided the luggage towards me. Adi didn't pay much attention by the time we were there because he was busy talking to a random girl.

"How am I supposed to go back home after travelling for three days? " I snapped at her question. I knew she was just trying to piss me off because that's a source of her everyday entertainment. She simply puts on a sheepish smile.

"Just kidding. " She said as her eyes went from mine to the person standing right beside me who was now busy with his mobile phone. She looked at our luggage and then back to me and her eyes widened.

Before she could ask anything else I said "Don't even try to think of asking me anything. "

Even then she was about to say something. "Don't even try to open your mouth. " And she actually did not say anything but just pouted her lips.

The instructor came out of the crowds and clapped to get our attention followed by his two teammates. "Is everyone here? "

Indeed this was a school trip!

Even if there is a person missing his friends would not even say a single thing and just enjoy it from afar because they know very well that their friend would somehow manage to come to the location. Or he might call someone or maybe he would just go back. College kids nowadays don't really give a damn about these visits. I am sure about other colleges but for these students I know it all too well.At least I have gained that much knowledge about my classmates over a semester.
