Who is it? I thought. Hence the words came out of my lips. I was still a bit sleepy so the person in front of me wasn't clearly visible to me.
"We are here. Wake up!" the female voice said and in no time I could recognize it as I rub my eyes saying "min, I had such a good nap why did you wake me up?"
"Hurry up and see around. Everyone is waiting for you." She said as her eyes rolled to show me the view outside the bus. It was not pleasing at all. I was the only one who was sleeping in the bus and others were already out standing along with their luggage.
"Don't worry I have got our luggage, just hurry up now." Min said to my relief.
After receiving all sorts of looks from my own classmates I came out of the bus. Sometimes I feel like I am not even a part of their class. Adi and Lily stood close to each other gossiping. He looked at me time to time as he smiled a bit along with it. I wonder if I am their topic of discussion. We finally walk into a small motel. The instructor talks to the owner and after checking out some details he leads us the way inside.
The place looked small from outside but as we went more inside it there were many doors attached on each side of the corridor. The owner lets us climb the stair to the next floor and it was equally big. Maybe it was always this big but because I was so sleepy I did not even see the building properly. We ended up in an open gigantic place with a roof on top and large windows all around. There was nothing in the place but just enough space. The owner talked something to the instructor and left.
We were all confused by what the instructor did next. He slides his luggage to the open space and his other assistants did the same. They started unpacking a bag and one of them takes out a sleeping bag. The students started whispering to each other. However I was quite sure of what we have to do next. I looked at Min and I guess she looked speechless.
"Did you bring anything we can sleep in?" I whispered to her.
"Well I brought a tent." She said still staring at the instructor.
"Let's get it ready then." I asked her.
"I brought it for camping. Not to sleep on a concrete ground. What if I am the only one who brought it and the others didn't? Wont that be a bit bad?" min answered.
That was exactly what made her different from others and perhaps that was reason she was the only one I could get close to. She might not be that sweet and lovely girl to everyone but she was still considerate whenever possible. I smiled at her as we both waited for the instructor to instruct something. He finally said us that the owner will send some people to bring us small mattresses and we have to manage within you.
The owner came along with two guys who were holding some thick sheets. Even though looked comfortable in front of their boss anyone could tell that those sheets were heavy. They laid them one by one on the ground and some of the kids help them arrange them. They were kept with a little space between them. The hall was divided by a curtain that was probably arranged beforehand.
Even though the thing they brought looked thin it was quite comfortable. The girls took one side of the hall while the others took the other side, the curtain being the only partition between them. The only female instructor was sharing the part with us. It was actually a good idea because nobody wanted to wake up early in the morning and see people snoring in front of them. Also it was some sort of private for people like me who might get hungry in the middle of the night and I won't disturb the other side now. Most importantly we needed to change.
