A soft wind rustling the pale curtains from the small open window, slightly brushes aside Selon's dark hair as he lay motionless fully covered with the blanket, on the large bed which was soft. He had been laid there to rest while he was unconscious ever since Makom and the other members had extracted the final pieces of energy needed to formulate the map by merging it with the others which leads to the location of the lost sword. That was four hours ago but he still haven't regain consciousness after passing through the extraction process. A gentle knock sounded twice behind the closed doors which were quite large, but it wasn't loud enough to wake him up as he lay fast asleep without moving his body thereby, giving no reply. The knock resounded louder again but wasn't strong enough to arose him from his deep slumber.
Then Sasan, who apparently was the one knocking the door while she carried a silver tray that had two brass plates neatly placed on it but was covered with dry leaves together with a healing potion which she hadplaced beside the two plates from her pink pouch.
"Master, may I enter?", She asked but received no response yet again. Then she pushed the large door open and strolled inside the wide and heightened room to the soft bed situated close to the window where Selon quietly slept. She gently kept the tray close to the pretty flowers which never cease emitt a lovely fragrance that warmly filled the whole room. While she began to stabilize the potion which contains a red liquid, with her blue energy turning it to purple as directed by Makom, Selon saw himself in a forest which illumine brightly while some small flying creatures hover all round him. He was greatly fascinated and marveled at the tranquil beauty of the forest which gleamed together with the other creatures. He decided to go further into the bushes where he came face to with an enormous tree that had a wide open hole on its thick stem, whereby a big flaming red sword held up in mid-air together with four large chains which prevented it from escaping. He was drawn to the sword and was about to climb the tree roots when four other roots suddenly grabbed his feet which kept him from climbing any further and he struggled to remember his but the roots held him tighter pulling him backwards towards another tree where more roots quickly wrapped him upwards reaching his abdomen. He tried to wriggle again out of it but couldn't break free because the roots were strong and very tight. He panted heavily as he tried with all his energy to break free from its tight grasp but still failed.
Then at that moment, a bright red star instantly appeared a little distance away from him which suddenly turned into large hole that started approaching him from a distance away, sucking every tree including bushes that stood in it path. It drew nearer and nearer while Selon screamed in terror. Sasan took the potion from the tray and moved it over his mouth with her right arm, slowly pouring it upon his mouth between his cracked lips which slowly passes through into his body. She was about to remove the glass potion when Selon suddenly woke up with a scream which frightened and scared her out of her wits at once which made her accidentally broke the glass potion when she almost fell backwards if not for the timely support Selon had offered by grasping her left hand that prevented her from falling. After they had eased their tensed nerves, Sasan looked down at the shattered glass potion on the bare floor leaving out remnants of purple liquid on the dry floor.
"Is that another nightmare, master?", Sasan asked as she picked up the broken pieces from the floor into the small pink pouch she earlier kept it in and had tied together closely to her sash round her small waist which held her white robe,
"Unfortunately, Yes it is. It was quite a scary one", Selon said feeling a sour taste inside his mouth,"Why is there a sour taste inside my mouth? Did you give me something sour to drink while I was asleep?",
"Yes I did master, but you didn't drink all of it since some residue was spilled on the dry ground", Sasan replied after putting the broken pieces inside the pouch.
"Why did you give it to me? What's it meant for?", Selon curiously questioned,
"It's a healing potion his eminence Makom, gave to me in order to purify your body after the experiment but you were able to drink some of it and that wouldn't be enough to cleanse your inner soul", Sasan answered as she slowly tied the pouch to the sash and moved closer to the drawers where she adjusted the brass plates on the tray.
"But can't you make another potion with the same healing properties?", Selon asked again as he sat upright with his linen clothes which covered his entire body except for his head widely covered with thick strands of hair.
"I can make another one but a rare herb name Algrot root was added to make the potion and it only grows once every five winter season at Moon Plum mountain. Thankfully, we have quite enough in our granary where our medicine experts will help us to create it under the instructions of Makom after I have let him know that we accidentally broke the glass potion", Sasan said as she turned to leave but halted abruptly and turned back facing Selon once again, "I almost forgot to inform you about the series of training you will perform during the day as directed by the council",
"What does the training entails?", Selon inquired staring at her brazen face,
"I actually don't know but what I know is that you have been enlisted among eight others who were handpicked to be more faster with the process of retrieving the lost sword instead of permitting volunteers, to partake in a concise test that'll last for two moons. And the first trial will begin later today at a time I personally will come to take you there", Sasan answered him,
"Okay all right, I think I need to get prepared for it", Selon said and stood up from the bed allowing his linen robe which serves as his nightwear, to fall down to his blue feet while covering the rest of his body apart from his scattered hair on his head. Then he trudge forward and paused as he asked, "Hold on a minute, I don't see any attire that is meant for the training session right here, What will I put on in order to partake?",
"Pardon me master, I think I forgot to bring it along with me, the required uniform for those partaking in the training. I will go and fetch it for you while you freshen yourself up", Sasan replied timidly and left the room in an hurry to fetch it.
"What a forgetful acolyte", Selon chuckled and went outside the room to have his bath pushing out one of the large doors and walked barefooted on his way to through the hallway.
Meanwhile, Zari slowly pushed down one of the Tarnites, that had attacked her, from her body which had almost been compressed by its heavy body after Zari had pierce it with her sword but couldn't prevent it from falling on her. She quickly stood up and looked around the hall which was partly shattered because of the enormous amount of combat energy spell, Jane had cultivate right there and had conjured a huge amount of energy shot which almost consume Akanon if not for his force field that reduced the damaging effect he grossly suffered.
She saw Akanon lying down unconscious close to Jane who bent down motionless while Samon who had taken shelter from the energy blast, came outside from his hiding place to apprehend Akanon using a chain spell which brought fought a barrier that covered his entire body. Then Zari hastily freed the captives who were the council members that Akanon had earlier kept hostage when he demanded that they should tell him where he Jane. Samon sealed the chain spell with his lasy ounce of energy that made him weak and almost fall on the ground thanks to a steel rod that preventing him from crashing downwards.
"So what happens now?", Zari asked Samon after he regain his balance. A voice which shot across the air interrupted Samon as he was about to reply,
"Thanks to Jane's bravity we've managed to free ourselves from Akanon's clutches and more important apprehend the mastermind behind all the recent crime guy and who instigated all the hidden plans in order to bring down the city", Eamus said as he quickly adjusted his robe, "So now Zari from Wintera, you will take Jane back with you in order for her to represent this sect for the upcoming training later today and in order to catch up with time, we will unlock a portal spell that will convey both of you there",
"What'll happen to Akanon?", Samon asked weakly almost drained of his energy,
"He will be locked up in the deepest dark dungeons and together with his henchmen while we will send messages to Ravon together with all the guards in city to help curb the wild rumors as well as protect the city from the external threat", Eamus answered,"So without wasting further I and Juno will open a portal for both of you", and together with Juno conjure forth a wide portal of the capitol building in front of Zari where six creatures stood awaiting final orders for the council concerning when they would start but they didn't notice it since it opened behind Then Zari took Jane from the ground and entered through the portal.
Selon walked hurriedly towards the hall along with Sasan who led him to the main hall where the council members were all seated with six other creatures who similar uniform each having the council's insignia boldly printed on the left side of it. Selon entered the main hall and suddenly a large portal appeared in the hall stealing all the attention of everything there while Zari and Jane step outside the portal with ease as everyone set their eyes on them.
