Chapter 16 - Chapter Fifteen: Peruse

An oddly familiar, fresh masculine scent slowly filled her senses, relaxing Silla's body and mind. Once in an early morning lucid dream, she tries to wiggle out of the large bed but somehow was held back by something. Her eyes weren't completely open yet, but she could feel the warmth of another person close to her. How close she didn't quite realize...

Once out of her sleepy daze she slowly opened her eyelids and looked down in pure shock and fear as she saw the head of blonde hair below her. Mr. Banehallow's head was snuggled deeply into her chest while his arms were tightly wrapped around her torso.

Her head told her to let out a scream that'd make anyone go deaf, but her instincts just made her watch in silence as his deep green eyes fluttered open out of their false pretense of sleep. It was then that she realized he was awake the entire time looking at those deep green irises staring right back at her own, his perfect plump lips slightly curling up in a warm, affectionate smile, making her heart flutter. Not out of embarrassment but out of pure shock like a slight heart attack.

What the fuck was he doing here?!

Laying on her like she was a body pillow no less...

Eventually, he let go with a wicked smirk plastered on his face. "Good morning, love. Did you sleep v'ell?" He softly cooed into her ear, as he wrapped Silla into a tight embrace.

She was speechless. It felt so unreal; he felt so unreal.

"N-no!" She stuttered out wanting him to let go of her and leave her alone. She didn't understand why he was acting this way.

"How did you...? Why, how...?" She couldn't find the right words. She was downright shocked. When she went to sleep last night, he was on the couch! Currently, he wasn't even properly dressed! His half buttoned up shirt barely clung onto him; revealing his multiple tattoos covering his chest and whole body in general. Though the tattoo that stood out the most was the extremely intricate black sun drawing on his chest.

Even so now that was the least of her problems gazing down under the covers she realized she was missing something essential...

"Wait where are my pants?!" She screamed confused looking down as she was only in her underwear.

"The doctor was checking your purity." He said, and she took a deep breath. Glad she wasn't awake for that.

He moved closer to her neck, fanning it with the hot air that came out each time he exhaled. "Z'ere are rooms on the top floors; the rest of it is private casinos and exclusive restaurants," Vitallis whispered huskily in her ear.

Her mind spun at the thought of that. Is he serious? It was going to be even harder to escape in this maze... Maybe that was intentional on his part; making it near impossible to find her way out.

Apparently he found Silla's expression amusing. He chuckled, leaning down to whisper in her ear, his hot breaths sending shivers down her spine. "Oh and did I mention a pool~? Fully decked, spa, sauna, and everything. All v'ith the view of the city," he said as he held her from behind resting his head on her shoulder.

Disgusting... He's lucky she didn't smother him with a pillow during her three day hibernation.

"Let me out."

He regarded her then, taking in the same clothes she had on the exception of pants and the tangled dark curls that went down her back. You v'ill run away."

A fact. Like this fact would ever answer her question.

"So?"

He narrowed his eyes at her then, "You should have realized by now z'at you v'ill never leave me."

Deep down his words struck a chord but she wasn't one to give up easily.

Groaning she leaned against the headboard. Now they were sitting up opposite of each other on the bed, regarding the movements they silently made.

"So that means I can't even leave this room to explore?"

His eyes flickered with surprise like little fireworks going off in his eyes.

"You don't mean leave as in go back to your family?"

Silla laughed then, "Any biological family I ever cared about is dead. I resent any and all living blood relatives. Me being away from them. I welcome it." He weaved his hands through her hair and rubbed his hand over her back for reassurance. Seemingly happy that she opened up a little to him.

Though their little moment was quickly disturbed when her friends the exception of Cain too woke up finding her awake to his surprise. Quickly enveloping her in a hug.

Next to her on the bed he just sat silently watching, until they finished their reunion and didn't speak as he pushed himself off the bed and walked away giving her a light gentle smile, "come."

That one word eagerly had her following him.

"Are we going to explore?" She asked, excitement coursing through her when the door grew in sight.

"No," he blatantly said making her face cringe. She needed to find a way to escape.

Cain wanted to follow along, but Mr. Banehallow slammed the door in his face with a smirk the incident going unnoticed by Silla.

Slowly turning from the green eyes man to the endless hallway she felt the presence of another person. A man stood outside the room with a formal suit and a weapon on his waist securely in its holster. He looked like some kind of spy character from a show. This man seriously had a fucking body guard as if he wasn't scary enough on his own. How the hell was she going to escape now?

"So... Mr Banehallow... Where are you taking me?" She asked as he took her down all sorts of halls.

He looked over at her almost in the most miserable face possible. His lips going down into the most unnatural frown ever. "Don't call me z'at," he sighed rubbing his temples.

"My name is Declan but you shall address me as Del."

As he spoke with authority leaving no room for argument upon learning his name Silla's head inconspicuously started throbbing and dejavú washed over her like a tidal wave. Ever since she met this man, she had been getting peculiar migraines.

"Or you could call me daddy if you v'ant~," he added with a lopsided smile causing her to look at him in shock.

Did he just...

"D-Did you j-just make a joke..."

She didn't know he could joke. He was always so serious. It was a rather shocking revelation to her.

"Maybe... I v'asn't joking." He added with a blindingly creepy smile which would've made any woman swoon but her. His way of lightening up the situation was quite... Strange much to her dismay as she facepalmed while he took the opportunity to snake his arm around her. He seemed to not be socially adept. Possibly he didn't talk to many people or have any close personal relationships. Maybe he was lonely and didn't understand normal human to human interactions. Sadly, this didn't mean he was stupid, though. Actually he was quite intelligent from what she could tell, however, he had no emotional context or emotional intelligence whatsoever.

Despite this she had to give it to him. The man was persistent. By that she meant he gave her no choice. Declan took her to a store and told her to pick out any beautiful dress she liked.

After refusing, he did it for her, along with some nice shoes, jewelry, and so on so forth. It was weird being dotted on like this, but he wanted to take her out and what he wanted, he got.

Silla was in a long sleeved, green dress with a pattern to complement that went just above her knees. It was so soft and so comfortable, and it looked formal enough for any occasion, as well as a low key event. It was nice, but it was bought by him.

"So... Where are we going?" She asked sitting reluctantly in the passenger seat of his craft.

He smiled and drove through the city, "To a little restaurant called, 'Arch'."

Her eyes widened. Arch?! No way. That place was so expensive. At the look on her face, he laughed.

He parked his car and looked at her with a bright smile, "Ready for a v'onderful day?"

She and Declan exited the car, a valet coming to collect his keys. When she came beside him, he wrapped his arm tightly around her and pulled Silla with him. Upon entering the restaurant a waiter walked up. "Good evening table for two?" He politely asked but before anyone could even answer, a large man, almost taller than Declan, put his hand on the waiters shoulder and dismissed him,

"I'll take it from here." He bowed his head in respect and left, leaving the buff, older man with us. He had short, black hair in a sort of buzz cut with thick sideburns, mustache and a beard. But what stood out was the similar black sun tattoo the man had on his wrist. It seemed all of Black Suns goonies had the same branding.

Once the waiter was gone, he turned to her and greeted the man next to her like an old friend, "Declan! Long time no see."

The man hesitated letting go, his arm not wanting to go leave her in the slightest, but he had to greet the man. Reluctantly he wrapped his arms around the man, "Cabron, how are you?"

With a laugh, this 'Cabron' pulled back, holding Declan by his shoulders, "Better than ever now that you're here." His brown eyes soon trailing to Silla, making her quite uncomfortable. She didn't like this man one bit. Call it a hunch, being paranoid, she didn't care, she just wanted to leave.

He bent over sticking his face in hers, examining her, "Is this your new whore? Geez, buddy, ya gotta learn to settle down."
