Silla's blue eyes shot open and she breathed heavily as sweat droplets rolled down her face. It felt like her body was being moved as if she was in a ship or some sort of transportation and an unfamiliar rattling sound.
What happened...? She felt really drowsy and dizzy as the blinding colors of the world spun around her. It felt like her head weighed a ton and if she was to get up, she'd only make it worse.
Tightly closing her eyes again she chanced her luck by slowly grabbing onto something and pulling herself up, taking her time to do so as her head pounded. "Oh look v'ho's av'ake," The thing she grabbed onto rumbled.
Where was she?
Silla huffed out a breath when she lied back on a soft cushion. Opening up one eye, she was met with a dim interior. Rows and rows of empty seats were in front of her and at the very end a door.
A train?
Why was she on a moving train car?
Looking through the multiple giant windows, it was clear that the sky could not be seen. Instead, through the windows she could see fish swimming by and various floral life. Outside was miles and miles of ocean and it was obvious they were far from the surface. It was a completely glass underwater tunnel. Huge archways allowing the train to travel through the glass tunnel. Blue fluorescent glimmered on the inside from the water and was just about the only source of light besides the dim chandelier lights on the train ceiling.
It was strange...
The only large body of water in the city was the lake in the upper ring. She wasn't in the upper ring? Was she?
Despite this thought she then remembered the only way from the upper ring to the lower ring was through the river that connected to the lake. It was said that there was a train that took you there once you got past the security checkpoints.
Confused, her eyes wandered all over the area around her. She was at the very back of the train car and the further she observed her surroundings the faster her brain finally started to register her predicament. Silla's last memories before Declan did something to her, was running away from him and ending up at a motel with her friends and Cain.
Eyes suddenly widening when light started to finally flood through the windows. They were heading closer and closer to the surface. She turned to a window next to her and peaked out.
Upon rising to the surface the train shot forward out of the underwater tunnel and began to levitate a foot off the water flying across to what was ahead the waves crashing around them from the sudden movement.
There was a large body of water below them. She felt another throb in her head, and she cringed at the feeling, looking away from the window to rub her tired head upon looking back however, her eyes were met with familiar green ones that watched her closely.
Silla yelped and backed away from her seat to the opposite of the train car, her back hitting the table behind her. She watched the blanket from last night wrapped around her fall to the ground.
Her vision became clearer, and she could make out a familiar person and her heart seemed to settle but her guard remained the same. He smiled and came towards her crouching down to somewhat meet her height, and she couldn't help the terror that creeped up her face. Noticing her body shaking in shock and how she tried inching farther into the seats away from him, he frowned. "Are you feeling alright?" He gently whispered trying to not to spook her.
"Where am I-"
"I can't tell you that love." Declan shushed her. Silla could tell he was stern about this and his tone made her more unnerved.
The Fuck...
If doesn't know where she is or where they are headed how the hell was she going to escape? She won't even know her way out of here.
That asshole!
He did this on purpose.
He drugged her, so she couldn't find her way back and escape from wherever he was taking her. Silla's fear quickly turned to rage. At seeing her no longer scared the bastard smiled with relief and planted a small kiss onto her forehead that she shrunk away from.
"Take me home now!" Silla demanded in her fit of rage as he sighed leaning over effectively pinning her to the seat.
"This is your home now," he spoke on top of her; wrapping his arms around her body. His large gloved hand covering her mouth to muffle her screams as his head laid on her shoulder him breathing deeply.
Silla immediately screamed, "GET OFF! AHHH-MFHPH!" His green eyes darkened.
"Relax." He said letting go of her wrists and taking his hand off her mouth.
However, when she stopped screaming her attention was quickly turned to the other side of the train car when she heard the door opening from the car next to us. Out came Cain and her friends who were following behind him carrying a tray of food.
For the rest of the ride Silla rested on a cushion while looked out the window. It was peaceful until he silently begun playing with her hair, although it felt nice, it was creepy. "What're you doing?" She questioned him.
"Am I not allowed to touch what is mine?" He countered.
"Uhm..." She didn't know how to respond to that.
"S-So what was that body of water we were under?" She asked him. She had only seen a few complete maps of the city but they weren't up to date.
"It was a river connected to Banehallow lake v'hich v'e are now flying over." He explained looking down at her warmly glad that she was curious and confident enough to ask him questions.
"Wait... You are named after the lake?" She asked a bit weirded out. Who names their kid after a lake?
"Hmm... Nyet... More like the lake is named after me." Declan explained shocking the girl even further. Just who was this man?!
Finally, at their destination she was surprised to see nothing but a large wall in the distance through her window. It was so high that it nearly reached the clouds. The wall seemed to be quite old too yet a lot better looking than the outer wall.
She had heard stories of the wall and of how big it was.
It has to be the same wall from the stories...
Over the top of the inner wall, a large dome covered the territory so beautiful it looked to be made of water and flowed constantly at a never changing rate. Behind them her friends and Cain followed to get a look out the window too the child's eyes glowing with fascination and wonder.
Meanwhile, as the train got closer Silla wondered if they were going to crash into it until she saw the tunnel up ahead. The tunnel seemed to poke out the wall as some sort of entrance and lead to the inside as the only exit and entrance.
The entrance was gigantic and was so intricate it was like a master piece. Gears slowly turned and giant locks clicked open. Once inside the tunnel everything went black due to the lack of light but quickly her eyes were met with civilization. Everything was so different from the outside. The building of all sort of sizes and shaped shot up to the sky. Holocrafts flew all around and the sky was full of them.
Some buildings didn't even touch the ground, and they were floating in mid air.
The lights from the buildings were magnificent. The architecture was unlike anything she had ever seen. Flora and fauna of all types were everywhere and seemed to coexist with the city. Water freely flows down some of the buildings and lights reflected off the surface.
Everything was clean and there were children happily playing in the street.
She sat amazed at the sight...
How was this possible?
This district seemed to be managed quite well. The people seem healthy and their lives, peaceful. Plus, loan sharks are taxed heavily.
Screeching, the train came to a stop and Silla couldn't wait to exit into the mini station to explore. Declan was ecstatic. The sight of her in awe of the inner city and their new home was beautiful. He wanted to lock her up right away and have her only look at him. Whenever he thought of her gaze on him, his heart leaped madly.
Had she not had fucking amnesia; he certainly would have kept her hidden in a place no one knew.
But sadly I was quickly stopped by Declan who was worried I would trip over the railing. "Please watch your step. I can help you, if you don't mind."
He smiled like the perfect gentleman that he is and offered his hand to help her step over the plate form. "No. It's quite alright, Del. I can help myself." She politely rejected his offer, but he took it upon himself to take the initiative and held her hands.
"It's fine to depend on others (me) sometimes."
She rolled her eyes.
After hours on a train, she wanted nothing more than to kneel down and kiss the beautiful blessed ground but was pulled back by Katya who had a sad look on her face. She wondered why but before she could ask she cut was off. "Silla we can't come with you." Zelan spoke with a frowning Katya behind him as the body guard that was outside their room at Wilhelm looked at Katya with a giddy expression.
"What? Why-" She started.
"It's not possible. You're too close with her," Declan added in.
"Y-You! You did this!" She screamed at him.
"Just give up and marry the rich man!" Zelan ran away with tears down his face.
That traitor...
"No way! At least let Katya come with me..." She practically begged him as he dragged her into an already prepared vehicle waiting for them. She sadly looked at Katya through the vehicles window her hands pressed up against the glass as tears threatened to spill.
"It would be troublesome if she helped you escape," Declan told her as he shook his head at Silla's dramatic display while the vehicle started to drive away.
Her freedom...
"Looks like we're alone now," the green eyed man said leaned over her on the plush seat they both sat on.
"So where are we going?" A small voice suddenly interjected.
It was Cain!
Declan himself was startled and looked over at the boy in shock and irritation. Looks like he forgot the small child even existed. Silla quickly hopped over to her little boy and sat next to him blowing a raspberry at Declan causing a thick vein to pop out on his forehead as he held the same unnatural tight lipped smile.
After thirty minutes past they made it to the center of the district and were met with strong iron gates. Much like the outside wall the iron gates also had one point of entrance they were huge and impossible to get past.
Silla sat amazed at the view in front of her. Once inside the iron fencing a large body of water surrounded the castle and entire estate. It was beautiful...
But most of all the land inside the body of water instead of normal lying on the ground was floating in the sky high above. The rock underneath it sharp and long water flowing of the side of the giant mass of land like waterfalls.
The craft they were in itself seemed to fly higher and higher towards the sky reaching the flying land. Once finally on the solid ground above ivy and ferns grew through the crevices of the old winding stone path decorated with glowing fairy lights that seemed to move on their own like fireflies which led directly to the colossal structure. The castle looked proudly behind the gates, flanked by rows of skeletal trees crowned in green, it seemed like a mini private forest the swaying willow trees and cherry blossoms making it seem like some kind of magical fairy land.
Upon closer inspection the palace that laid before her was gorgeous; the beautiful lights coming from it reminded her of the aura borealis.
