Chapter 21 - Chapter 9: Cruel Master (1)

"What is this power?" He said to himself. "What's happening to me?' He asked as he kept looking into his palm. The smell of blood, the sight of torn-up bodies sent shivers down Akito's spine. Akito started grinding his teeth, his anger grew, his powers climbed higher, and he looked up at the casualties and damaged building caused by a minor scuffle with the torture devils. Irregularly breathing, he managed to take a deep breath in and out as he looked at the clothed devil. "Hey, you piece of shit." He said as he screamed into the silence of the dead. "Did you cause all of this?" He addressed with a tear in his eye.

The leader laughed and proclaimed. "And what if I did?" Sinisterly laughing, his mouth was closed shut with an uppercut from Akito. It sent him flying into a nearby gate of a house. "Kaa," the leader expressed in pain. "What power, what force. It can't be real?" He spoke to himself as he kneeled on his knee. "I knew that a weak stage one torture room wasn't sufficient to break this guy. No, that's not it." He said to himself as he felt another massive blow to the side of his head. "Ahh," he screamed as he made contact with a car. Denting the side of the vehicle into itself made it clear that Akito wasn't in the mood to chat. Consumed by his destructive power, he appeared in front of the leader and picked him up onto his knees. "No, it's not just him, but also God! He's sharing his overwhelming power with him?" He said to himself in fear.

In a panic, the three devils. Which were nicknamed by their master. The summoner, the dark interrogator, and the torturer stood still, watching as their leader screamed to them. "Summoner, use the summoning gem." As told, he reached into his coat and pulled out a crystal-like stone. Then, with fear in his voice, he started enchanting. "For those who roam the dark world, with no mind, with no honor. Come forth." The crystal beamed in a purplish light. Suddenly, human-like creatures, with torn flesh and missing pieces, started to appear from the fog.

"What is this?" Akito dropped the leader and turned around to look and noticed the monsters/ human-like beings. His eyes widened, and his mind raced in disgust at what he had just seen. "Humans?" He said as he counted ten of them. Walking a few feet away from the leader allowed the summoner to seize the opportunity.

"These monsters should keep him busy, just enough for us to escape." Said the summoner as he appeared next to the leader. "Shall we retreat while we still can?" He suggested. Then, the other two members arrived next to them, watching Akito's back, as he kept on staring at these horrifying beings. Pitying their existence, he didn't know what to do. "What do I do?" He thought to himself. He turned around and screamed. "Hey, what do I do to save them?" But he discovered that none was there. The devils had fled. Sensing their presence, he looked up and found them staring at him with their wicked eyes. Then, with their wings expanded, they flew away with a massive leap. They soon were out of sight. "Damn it!" He clenched his fists and again faced the monsters.

"Brother!" He heard Satoshi scream in anguish as he fended off against two of them. Akito, angered by sight, clenched his fists and ran to help his brother. "Gravity magic, unforeseeable arrows." He enchanted while directing the gravity arrows with the palm of his hand. Firing the two arrows, they hit the two monsters in non-vital points, almost as if he intentionally avoided killing them. Scared and unable to take a stance on the situation, he grabbed his brother and jumped up to a wire post, perfectly standing on it. While he had his brother on his shoulders, he questioned himself if he could kill humans.

"I can't kill innocent souls," he said to himself while Satoshi tuned in to the mumble from Akito. "They're not innocent, and they're not from this world, do something," Satoshi demanded from his younger brother. "No! These are human souls trapped in these monstrous forms." He informed Satoshi. "I can't kill humans. I can barely accept my actions against the Devils." He said while he jumped to a nearby destroyed house, placing his brother on the roof, he noticed that the monsters started making their way into a more populated area. "Shit, I can't let them go any further." He said to himself as he got off the roof and landed in the middle of the monsters.

His heavy land grasped their attention. They started making their way towards him while moaning and crying. Almost as if they were suffering. Hurting, their souls wanted nothing but to be freed from the anguish of their cowardness. The ten monsters surrounded Akito. Everything slowed down. He remained still and heard a bunch of voices flow into his ears. "Please, kill me." One said. "I beg of you, end this endless cycle of suffering." Another begged from Akito. "I can't keep on doing this. I can't keep hurting others." Another cried.

"These voices, it's from the sad souls of these creatures," Akito said to himself, crying. He stood there and opened his arms wide while enchanting a magical attack. "Gravity magic, planetary pull." The ten bodies flew up and towards him at a robust momentum, more potent than his usual self. "Huh? Too fast!" He said as he barely managed to enchant another attack spell. "Amenonuhoko."

"Amenonuhoko" is an attack spell. The attack formes itself by the dark energy mixed with gravity, giving it a shape. To be precise, it portrays itself in several Samurai Japanese-style spears surrounding the user in countless numbers.

Piercing through all the horrifying monster's hearts, it seemed to do the trick. First, their bodies fell to the ground, and light started beaming from them. Then, floating up to the sky and taking a part of them, their bodies slowly disintegrated and disappeared into the sky, but their words of appreciation stuck to Akito, "Thank you." So was now etched to his human heart, tears streamed, and his heart trembled for the souls he laid to rest, even knowing it was for the best.
