They left the room, wondering what to do next when they saw a BIG VAN stopping in front of their house. A with a cigar in his hand came out and whistled to their father who was sitting in the yard. The man was in a sailor's outfit and so was their father. Their father rushed to him; saluted and got into the car.
Cam thought scratching his head, "Who was this man in the coat? Why did daddy salute him? Moreover, where did they go?"
The children rushed to their mum to enquire about what they had seen. Their mother said calmly, "So what's the big deal? Don't you remember he was supposed to go to an island to rescue some stranded people? Last night his captain had called him and informed him about an Island and the people stuck on it because of the gale. The man you saw might be his captain ..."
Thomas interrupted, "Why did not the captain go himself to rescue those folks? Why send dad? "
Their mother continued, "Well, the captain is involved with navigating the ships which are still stuck in the storm..." Thomas interfered again, "But what if dad's vessel gets destroyed or stuck in the tremendous storm and would never return? "
There was dead silence in the room. Their mother broke the silence and spoke up in a bold tone," Your father is a brave and a brilliant sailor, whatever may happen he'll definitely find the most appropriate solution to it and from now on I don't want to listen to a word about death and the storm."
This convinced the children a bit, but they all gave up the idea of going on a vacation to enjoy themselves, as their dear father would be challenging nature's fury.
