ORION
After I entered the portal, I lost consciousness, only to wake up close to the beach. I stand up from the floor, groaning. Looking around, I know I've been teleported to the human realm. A place I have never been to before. I sigh, clutching my bag tightly to my shoulder. I attempt to take a step but stop.
"What direction should I go?" I thought. I don't know much about this place, except for what I've read so far. I sigh, if Melvin was here, he would have made the decision. He's good at giving directions. I blinked my eyes. Losing Melvin is a great loss to me. I thought we would come here together, which never happened.
After much contemplation, I decided to go forward. "Hey, handsome" a female calls, as I walk past a group of girls. They were half-naked, and I wonder why. I ignore her and continue walking. I notice she is following me when she realizes there is much space between us, she hastens up her footsteps "Come on handsome. Do you care for a swim?" She asks
I roll my eyes partly to the left and roll them back immediately to the right. "Don't you talk? A cute guy like you don't talk?"
I sigh. "I can talk ok?. I'm not just in the mood to talk to you"
She chuckles. "You've got a cute voice you know. I'm Ariana by the way. But you can call me Ari" She stretches her hand for a handshake
"Orion"
She chuckles. "Orion, like Ori for short?". I nodded, taking my hand into hers. "What are you doing here alone with a bag?. Are you here for swimming?"
"No" I reply
"No? Are you lost? Do you need help?"
I sigh. "I'm new here. I just need directions"
"Where are you from?"
I roll my eyes. There's no way I'll tell her I'm not from here. "What will I tell her now?" I thought. I crack my brain for a few minutes, but can't find suitable words to use. I've heard about some places here but I just can't remember their names. I hold my head, trying to think harder
"You can't remember?" She asks in concern. I nodded quickly. "Are you suffering from Amnesia?" She asks. I stare at her wondering what she meant. She smiles, "I mean you have a loss of memory" I nod. "Since you can remember your name. It has to be the temporary amnesia" I roll my eyes, trying to pronounce it.
"Am.....Am....Amni.....".
She chuckles. "It's Am...ne.....si...a"
"Am....ne...si...a, right?"
She smiles. "Haven't you heard of the word before?" She asks
"The word sounds familiar" I answer and she chuckles, while I groan. The human realm has lots of hard words. Some of which I've heard before and others which are just too strange, but I know it will take me less time to adjust to their lives.
"Who are you here to see?" She asks, jolting me out of my thoughts.
I sigh. I'm not here to meet anybody. I'm only here to hide, but there is no way I'm telling her that. "I can't remember" I answer
She sighs. "It will be difficult to help you. Maybe I should take you to the cops. They might help you out". Hearing the word cops, I knew she was talking about the police.
"No, I don't think that's the best idea"
"Are you afraid of the cops?"
I chuckle. "No. It will be too stressful for you and for me too. Considering my condition, I can't even remember who I'm here to see, his name, or what he looks like. They won't be able to help me" I reply, hoping she will accept it
Surprisingly, she nods. "I think you're right. But how will you get a place to stay?"
I sigh. "Ari, I'll be happy if you can help me. Just for a night. I'll find my way tomorrow"
"Ori, that might be difficult to do. I don't know you. It's risky"
"I know, but trust me. I mean no harm. You can check my bag. I'm harmless. Just trust me"
She sighs. "I'll help you"
I chuckle. "Thanks"
"I think I have room to spare. Just wait here for me. I'll go change and get my bag". I nod my head slowly. "I'll be right back," she says. As I watch her go, I decide to check her out.
I chuckle. "She's got a nice shape," I thought. "Hey handsome," someone says from behind, I turn to see a lady, checking me out. I roll my eyes
"Hey" I coo
"You've got sexy eyes". She says and I sigh. I wish Melvin was here to see how girls are flirting with me. "Hey!!" She calls, jerking me back to reality.
I roll my eyes. "What did you say?"
She smiles. "Thinking about me?"
I groan slightly. "Not really. What were you saying?"
"Can I have your number?". I roll my eyes. I think I've heard of that before but I need a phone or so. I remember reading from a book on that. "Don't you have a phone?" She asks. I nod. "That's strange. How can you..."
"Ori!" Ariana calls, preventing her from finishing her words. I turn to see her staring dangerously at the other girl. I giggle. "We should go. My car is over there". I wave to the other girl which I'm yet to know her name and follow Ari.
"Bye Ori. I'm Ivory by the way" she shouts
"You shouldn't be talking to strangers," Ari says and I nod. She led me to where her car was parked. I stare at the car, admiring it. She opens the door for me. "Ori, come in". I enter the car, while she enters from the other side. "Seat belt," she says
"What's she talking about?" I thought, looking around.
She chuckles. "Sorry. I'll just help you with it, instead". She places her hand across my waist and drags a rope across my body. "This is a seatbelt," she says before hooking it up with something. I mutter an 'oh' and she smiles.
She drives the car out. The drive was quiet, and I just couldn't stop looking around. There are so many things to learn here. So many things that might take normal humans ages to learn but as a Demon, it will take less time. She groans and I raise my head to look at her. "Not again" she mutters.
"Are you ok?" I ask. The car stops, and I wonder why. She opens the car door and steps out. I look through the window to see two ladies fighting. One with black hair and the other with red hair. "Elora!!" Ari shouts but none answered. She tries to drag the girl with the red hair back but she is adamant. I groan. "Elora!! Stop ok!!" Ari yells
I roll my eyes. "What sort of girl is this?" I thought. I watched Ari try to separate them but the red-haired girl was just too strong. "Ari" I coo, but she is too far from me to hear. I decide to step out of the car and walk closer to them. "Ari, you should let them fight if they want to"
She turns to look at me. "She's my sister, I can't leave them alone".
I sigh, "Which of them is your sister?"
She groans. "The red hair girl". I roll my eyes and hold the girl with the red hair.
"Get your hand off me!!" She yells
"Elora, stop!!" Ari says
I release my grip from her as she stares dangerously at me. "Don't you dare touch me!!" She yells and I chuckle. She was panting so hard and so was the other girl.
"Zoey, are you ok? Did she hurt you much?" Ari asks the other girl
"Ariana, she hurt me so much. Look at my face!!" Zoey complains while Elora hiss. She turns to leave but Ari calls her back
"Elora!"
She rolls her eyes. "What?!!. Do you want to blame me? Huh?"
"Elora. I told you to stop fighting but you just won't listen"
She scoffs. "I knew it. I know you will always support her. You know what you can go to hell for all I care!!" She yells and walks away
Ari sigh. "Sorry, Zoey. Please go home and take care of yourself"
"Thanks, Ari"
After Zoey left, Ari turns to face me. "I'm sorry for that"
I sigh. "Who is she? I mean the red-haired girl said she's your sister?" I ask
"Yes. She's my step-sister. She can be so troublesome but I bet you, she's really good" I roll my eyes. "You guys might make a good couple you know" she jokes
I groan. "No thanks. I'll pass"
She chuckles. "You're not the first to say that"
I roll my eyes. I'm not the first and might not be the last, but judging from what I saw, today she is a troublesome girl I won't want to have anything to do with!!
