Things had been going on just fine in the iced cream shop for some time now, up until the time I got a sudden text from my sister with just three words in it.
YOU ARE WELCOME.
I had snapped my head up in surprise at her message, thinking she had thought to show herself in the shop. My heart unwillingly leapt into my throat in fear for my employee, because I knew damned well that Ianthe could decide to do a lot of damage here. I had found out that she had absolutely no moral limitations when it came to avenging her most favorite brother in the world, Adrian.
But instead of seeing my black haired and fiery eyed sister beating up Rae in sheer anger and malice, I found two high school students smirking up at her.
I paused, wondering what was wrong.
