Waking up Narcissa Malfoy rubbed her eyes and looked to her right.
Seeing her long-haired husband awake she turned fully.
"Morning," Narcissa croaked out sleepily.
"Morning," Lucius said back, the newspaper in his hands rustling when he shifted his position a bit.
Sitting up she leaned against him and looked at the newspaper, "Anything interesting?"
Flipping a page he shook his head, "No, the only thing that might interest you is that they're having a sale in Garland's Garden Supplies today."
Nodding Narcissa cuddled closer to him, "What time is it?"
Lucius, not wanting to lose the place he was at, quickly finished the article he was reading, "Last time I checked it nine."
"Damn it!", Narcissa cried out, as she quickly got out of bed.
Raising an eyebrow, her platinum-haired husband asked, "What is it?"
Striding over to the dresser Narcissa started taking out different dresses.
"Draco and I have been invited to the Parkinsons today."
She then lay the chosen dress to one side and headed to the bathroom.
It only took a few minutes till she stepped out again fully dried.
Walking over to the green Retta Victorian dress she had prepared earlier.
Quickly slipping it on she strode out of the room knowing that her husband would be leaving before her.
Seeing Narcissa leave their large bedroom Lucius stood up and also went into the bathroom.
Stepping into her son's decently large bedroom, Narcissa slowly walked over to the boy's bed.
Which he was still fast asleep in, sitting down she slowly stroked his face.
Feeling a ticklish sensation on his cheek Draco slowly woke up.
Blond eyelashes eyes slowly flickered open as Draco turned to look at the person stroking his cheek.
"Mother?" he whispered out sleepily.
"Good Morning, Draco," she whispered back a smile on her face.
"You have to get up, we're going to the Parkinsons today."
Yawning, Draco sat up, "Do we have to?"
Standing up she walked to his cupboard and opened it, "Yes, we do, but it's not all bad you'll be able to play with Pansy there."
She then turned around a nice white dress shirt in one hand and black trousers in the other.
It didn't take Narcissa long to get Draco dressed since he didn't protest as much as usual.
He now not only wore the clothes Narcissa had picked for him earlier but also a pair of shiny black shoes and a silky green cravat.
Stepping out of the large bedroom the mother and son pair walked down the long corridor to the stairs.
Looking down the slightly curved staircase Narcissa saw Lucius standing at the large double doors.
Reaching out she grabbed Draco's hand and slowly descended the stairs towards her husband.
"Leaving already?" she asked surprised since he usually left at ten o'clock.
"Yes," he said curtly.
Walking over to him Narcissa gave him a hug and a kiss.
Reaching down she wrapped her arms around her son and lifted him so he wouldn't have to crane his neck so much.
"Say goodbye to your father," she whispered in his ear.
Raising his small arm the small boy waved towards Lucius, "Goodbye, father."
Nodding Lucius waved to them both before disappearing.
As soon as her husband had vanished Narcissa whisked Draco into the dining room.
It was quite large with a slightly rectangular table, it was made of split oak and had a silver chandelier above it.
Sitting down at one side Narcissa motioned for her son to sit opposite her.
As soon as she was properly seated she clapped her hands making a house-elf pop out of nowhere.
"Yes, what can Dobby do for Mistress?"
Looking down at the small creature Narcissa wrinkled her nose in disgust.
"Bring us breakfast, Dobby."
"Of course Mistress," the house-elf said bowing, before pulling a letter from behind his back, " A letter for you Mistress."
Cocking an eyebrow, Narcissa snatched the letter from the disgusting creature's hands and looked at him scornfully, "Now go get the food."
Bowing again Dobby profusely apologised before disappearing.
Turning back to the table, Narcissa looked at the letter closely.
She immediately frowned, who had sent this letter?
For all, she knew her father had disappeared a few years ago while her aunt was bedridden and completely mad.
As for her elder sister, Andromeda, well she cut off all her connections to House Black ages ago.
So who could it be?
Curiosity getting the better of her, Narcissa carefully opened the letter and took out the folded piece of parchment.
As soon as she unfolded it she saw the neat and beautiful handwriting, it wasn't one she recognised.
Interested in who the writer might be, she started reading.
Dear Lady Malfoy
I'm really not that experienced at writing letters so I hope you will forgive me for any misconduct I might practice by writing the way I do.
Now you probably haven't heard of me but I have heard quite a bit about you and what I have heard has piqued my interest.
If it isn't too much of an inconvenience I would like to formally invite you to Black Manor for a cup of tea and chat.
And if you so desire you can also bring Draco with you.
Since I rarely leave the premises I'll leave the time and date to you.
Yours sincerely
Eleanor Black
Heir to the most ancient and noble house of Black.
A deep frown appeared on Narcissa's face as she finished reading the rather short letter.
Eleanor Black?
Heir to house Black?
She couldn't believe it, who was this woman, who could first find and then convince her, all too stubborn father to give the heirship to a female.
A smile spread across her lips, her interest just like this Eleanor Black was piqued and she had decided to accept her invitation.
