Seth sat in a hardwood chair, reading a thick book at an amazing speed. His reading speed had increased by the increase in intelligence, causing him to be able to flip through pages and memorize everything on them. Seth was bored. Really bored. There hadn't been any accidents for a week and a half. Arthur was really pushing for Seth to become complacent, but it wouldn't happen. Seth wouldn't allow it. Although he was speedily flipping through books, his mind was in another place. He was secretly practicing controlling elementals all around the castle. His range had increased even more over the time he spent in the library. It had increased by far more than the last time he practiced it because he was purposefully trying to increase it as much as possible. He didn't dare touch the elementals in the library as they could cause Arthur to come running. This caused his range to decrease significantly and the difficulty of controlling the elementals to increase.
If Seth was trying to move all the elementals, he would be moving them around much like he was moving the ones closest to him. This would make moving the rest of the elementals easier. Moving the elementals distant from him caused the elementals that he was basing the movements off of to be much more difficult to control. At this point, Seth felt that, with his new range and control, what he did when he killed the attacking cult wasn't that amazing. Seth had actually taken a lot of shortcuts during that. He had sent the elementals instructions rather than directly controlling them because his range wasn't nearly that large. He had actually used magic to help him a lot, as the elementals wouldn't have followed his instructions without his magic helping to move them around.
The problem with what Seth had done was that Arthur was now overestimating his control over elementals. This would cause them to be even more on edge about him than before. No matter what he did, he would just make the Cult of Peace more afraid of him. Seth wasn't happy about it, but that was just how it was. He was too strong. Too talented. Seth remembered a certain proverb: the tallest trees catch the most wind. Seth felt that it was suitable to describe his situation. He was too talented for his own good and was thus attracting a lot of attention. Seth sighed. The heavens were truly unfair, and he would just have to change that. He would have to kill the divinities and take their place as the ruler of the heavens! If there was anyone stronger than them, he would have to kill them and take their place!
Seth had unknowingly put down his book and stopped practicing controlling elementals as he delved into a daydream of killing gods and changing the world. Seth watched as he killed screaming divinities, slaughtering them easily as if they were just ants to him. He was stopped by an even higher being than the gods, only for him to kill it without a second thought. He slaughtered his way to the top, killing everyone in his way. A slight grin had appeared on Seth's face, his lips slowly curving upwards.
The library door was suddenly burst open and Seth was thrown from his daydream. A man walked in and handed Seth a note. The handwriting was plain and simple, presumably his father's. The note read: meet me in my office. Seth remembered where Arthur's office was, though he had only gone there a few times. Seth thanked the man that gave him the note, put away his books, and went to meet his father. When Seth walked into the office, he was met with a serious look on his father's face.
"Your brother has been taken by demonic cults. We need you to go and save him." Arthur went straight to the point. Seth nodded and rushed out of the office. He didn't care what else Arthur had to say. He needed to save Augie!
Seth soon found himself in the forest, back where he had first heard of the demonic cultists. With the research he had done before, he already knew where some of the demonic cults resided. Most of them were in the unlawful north. It would take some time to get there, but Seth didn't care. Although Augie had killed him countless times, he was still his friend. Seth gritted his teeth and infused elementals into his limbs. His running speed increased by many times, but it still wasn't fast enough. Seth controlled the elementals around him to move away and create a vacuum around him, further increasing his speed. But it still wasn't fast enough.
Seth didn't know what to do, at this rate he would take days to get to the north. Even his flying speed wouldn't be fast enough, and he might not even be able to last the entire trip. Seth was running at a speed of thousands of miles an hour, even faster than the fastest plane on earth. The problem was the size of the world, it was massive. This world was even bigger than the Earth's sun. Seth soon came up with a plan, he would make a bicycle from elementals. With this new plan in mind, Seth stopped to rest. Seth had ridden a lot of bicycles on Earth, it had been one of his favorite pastimes before his parents died.
Seth remembered how a bicycle looked, this allowed him to figure out how it worked. The pedals were connected to a sprocket that had a chain. The chain was also around another, larger sprocket that was directly connected to the shaft the back wheel was connected to. Both wheels had brakes on the tops. These were controlled by pulling a wire that was connected to one side of the brake and went through a hole on the other. This caused the two sides to be pulled together. The bottoms of the two sides of the brakes were connected to the frame of the bike that held the wheel but were still moveable. The ends of the wires were run along with the frame of the bike to the handles. the handles were connected to the shaft that ran through the front of the bike frame and was directly connected to the fork that held the wheel in place. The rest of the bike was pretty self-explanatory and didn't require much thought.
Seth finished up the bike in less than fifteen minutes, the sizing was perfect and the gear ratio was 2:1, which made cycling much faster than running. Seth hopped on the bike and speedily rode towards his destination. His travel speed had increased by a few times more and he was feeling better about his chances of saving Augie. The bike was made entirely from elementals, so it wouldn't wear down or break. The elementals also allowed Seth to changes the size and shape of any part of the bike at will. He made the wheels bigger, which allowed the bike to move even faster than before, though it made cycling harder. With Seth's Strength, the difficulty of cycling was still very low.
Seth cycled for nearly two days straight before reaching the northern border. This planet was really too huge. Seth knew of a few demonic cults that stayed near the border, so he looked around for their traces. He spread his magic, not finding very much. Seth eventually found traces of a demonic cult, which he followed to an empty hideout. It hadn't been abandoned for long, just a few days, but there still wasn't anything in it. The people that had abandoned it weren't in much of a hurry, they had likely prepared for someone to come here in search of them. Seth felt that this was likely a base of the cult that had taken Augie. With this thought in mind, he searched the base for anything like a symbol or insignia to know them by.
Seth soon found a black and purple symbol in the corner of a room. The symbol was of a purple spiral on a black background, it was quite simple. It was on a torn piece of cloth that had been soaked in dried blood and covered with dust. The symbol was probably from a dead member of this clan or one they had fought with, it had been forgotten for who knows how long. Seth picked up the torn cloth and stored it in his inventory before leaving the base. Seth searched the ground for any signs of human activity, finding nothing. It had been really dry and windy, which had made footprints and the like not be shown on the ground. Seth didn't bother trying to track footprints anymore and instead spread his magic power even further than before, this time just searching for any signs of humans at all. Seth didn't find anything, but he had a feeling he would find something soon.
Seth searched the area and soon found the site of what seemed to be a battle. There were pieces of broken weapons and strips of bloodsoaked cloth. There was a little blood that had soaked into the ground, but most of the things had seemingly disappeared. The battlefield was probably a few months old, but it would still give Seth some insight into the movements and positions of the different cults. Seth didn't find any more symbols or insignias, but he didn't really care that much. Seth felt that he had much more important things to do than search for more of those when he can easily get them by raiding other bases. The earlier symbol gave Seth a starting point, the cults would likely have information on each other. Information that could lead him to other bases or even help him find Augie.
Seth hopped on his bike and rode around the vicinity of the battlefield. He slowly rode away from the battlefield as he scouted the area. Seth was ready to do this for a few days, he needed to find Augie. If it took too long though, Seth was already coming up with backup plans. A plan that Seth came up with was to find the rest of the other cults or sects and have them help him eradicate the demonic cults from the face of the planet. Seth knew that they would help him, who wouldn't want to get rid of such evils that kidnap children and hope for the world to be taken over by demons. Seth smirked as he steadily rode around, not stopping his search for even a second. Augie would be found, no matter what happened. Seth wouldn't allow himself to fail, he couldn't.
Seth didn't find anything new for the rest of the day and he didn't know what the north was like at night, so he took a break from cycling and climbed a tree. Nothing much happened, but Seth was quite tired from his lack of sleep. He hadn't slept in five days. Seth soon fell asleep, not bothering about a pack of wolves he had sensed in the distance. Seth slept well, he woke up at around six, he had gotten nearly five hours of sleep. When he woke up, there was a cold breeze blowing around, it felt like it was below freezing outside. The north truly was cold. Seth didn't feel the cold though, as not only had his attributes reached a massive point but turning his body halfway into magic had also decreased his sensitivity to heat.
Seth stretched for a few moments before getting back on his bike and continuing to search for cults. In just a few minutes, Seth found the dead carcasses of a full wolf pack, it seemed to be the same one he had sensed last night. The wolves' hearts had all been dug out and most of their blood had been drained. It was quite likely that this had been the work of a demonic cult, but Seth didn't know where they had come from. This find still confirmed that there was at least one demonic cult's base close by.
