Seth lay on the ground like a starfish. It had been two days since he had found the first demonic cult's base, and he still hadn't found anything. All he had found related to demonic cults were a few sacrifices and battlefields, most of which were a few days old. Seth felt in his gut that he would find one soon, but he could only hope. Seth wasn't happy about all the time he had already wasted, but that was in the past. Surprisingly, Seth had actually covered nearly 100000 square miles. That was bigger than most countries. Seth still hadn't found much though, the north was just too big. The north was actually many times bigger than Angora, though it couldn't be classified as a true country but rather an amalgamation of countless smaller countries.
Although Seth could probably search the country and find a few demonic cults living out in the open, he was a foreigner in a distant land. He would probably attacked on-site the moment a northerner saw him, regardless of who saw him. This was especially the case because he was geared for battle and was not in the most friendly or peaceful state. If someone saw him they would think he was going to war, which he technically was. Seth had activated nearly all the buffs he had been able to, he was rearing to go and kill demonic cultists. Seth felt that by the time he found Augie and brought him back home, he would complete all of his mortal missions. He might even be given another mission by the system to destroy cultists or kill more people. Seth was ready for anything, especially for getting stronger.
Seth hopped on his bike and started riding once again, a feeling slowly welling up in his chest that he couldn't describe. Seth soon found what he had been looking for all this time. He had found a demonic cult's base, and it was inhabited. Seth didn't rush in immediately, instead, he stayed miles back and didn't do anything rash. Seth spread his magic through the camp, detailing everything about it. This group of demonic cultists wasn't the ones that had left the base that he had originally found, but they were still good prey. Seth Inspected all of them and found that there were nearly 500 people, and 100 of them were Peak Mortals. There were a few Mortals scattered around, but most of the cultists were Higher Mortals. Seth could clear two system missions with just this one raid.
Although the system's missions wouldn't give him that much benefit, they would still help him a little bit. Seth's eyes flickered as a grin appeared on his face. He moved through the ground and appeared in the center of the base, not being detected by anyone. By the time he was noticed, tens of people had already been slaughtered. It was just too easy. Seth stabbed through the bodies of the nearest people with his dagger, not caring about the blood splashing everywhere. Seth felt alive for the first time in weeks, finally massacring countless and relishing in a crimson bath. At this point, Seth forgot about Augie. He forgot about all his troubles and just inhaled the red mist that had spread through the base from the killings. Seth wouldn't stop. He didn't want to. He just wanted to kill and kill and kill.
Seth found himself lying on the blood-soaked ground outside of the base, with the dead bodies of tens of cultists around him. He stood up and cleaned himself off before leaving in search of another demonic cult's base. Judging from the position of this base compared to the first one Seth found, he believed that other bases should be farther out. He got on his bike and left the camp in the dust, going hundreds of miles away. At this point, he felt that he had reached far enough away from the base to find another one, so he started spiraling around the base he had left. Seth took this time to check his status and missions.

Seth redeemed the points, only to see that he could still redeem the Higher Mortals mission again, for fewer points though. He could redeem the same number of lives for ten points instead of fifty. He redeemed it again for the ten points and noticed that the amount didn't go down again. So he redeemed it again. He gained 270 more points from completing the missions, they were quite lucrative. Seth couldn't wait to find another base and kill all the people inside. He might have found a way to finally get the next Starter Package. Seth licked his lips at the thought of what he might get from the Starter Package. It would surely be amazing. Seth's Growth Speed had stagnated, he really needed a boost soon.
Seth soon spotted another demonic cultist camp, there were approximately 1000 people in this one. Most of the people in the camp were Peak Mortals too, there seemed to be something going on. Seth spread his magic and Inspected everyone in the camp and found that there were nearly 900 Peak Mortals. Seth was excited, the Inspection showed that all of the Peak Mortals had an average stat of about 150000, which was much lower than even Seth's base stats. Today would be his payday. Seth followed the same protocol as last time, appearing in the center and massacring everyone nearby. It had worked very well last time, it would work well this time. Seth was confident, he was just way too strong in comparison to the other Peak Mortals around.
Surprisingly, when Seth appeared in the center of the camp, nobody noticed him. Not a single person. All of the cultists were too preoccupied with bowing to a tome and chanting to notice any changes in their surroundings. Seth didn't care that much though, so he just started his slaughter. He killed and killed for thirty minutes straight, he was starting to tire a little bit. Seth found a few things related to Augie, but he could tell that this cult wasn't the one that had taken him. This cult was merely one that was worshipping him. The cult that took Augie had likely started to train him to be their demon god. In the end, Augie and Seth were probably going to be the only people to benefit from this whole ordeal. Seth believed that nothing would happen to Augie. He was a protagonist, after all.
Seth redeemed his missions again, gaining 460 more points. Seth felt satisfied with his earnings so far. He got on his bike and did the same as last time. He was slowly formulating a full plan on finding and destroying demonic cults' bases, and it was working very well. Seth had found and destroyed two cults in just a few hours. If he was lucky, he would be able to destroy a few more before nightfall. Seth did, in fact, get lucky. He was able to destroy four more demonic cultist camps before it got dark. These camps weren't the smallest either. He was able to redeem hundreds of points from them. Something that Seth had overlooked, but was much greater than he could've imagined was that killing Higher Mortals and Peak Mortals gave him points. Though he had a feeling that this unbalanced issue would be fixed soon, he had already gained 20000 points from it.
Seth guessed that he was just way too strong, to the point that he could kill people he shouldn't be able to with ease. Seth was happy knowing that he was one of the strongest people in the world. He was truly living in the bottom of a well when he had first come here. He had only met a few Peak Mortals and had thought they were a scarce rarity. In just a few short months he had become strong enough to kill hundreds of them with ease. Thinking back on it, Seth was proud of his progress, and he knew that it would only get faster. Seth slept, he had gotten quite tired from all of the killing. He had wasted a lot of energy by killing the cultists with all of his strength rather than conserving it. Seth didn't really care about that though, it was more fun to rip someone in half with your bare hands than to slice them in half with a sword.
When Seth woke up, he felt refreshed. He got on his bike and hummed all along his way, searching for another anthill to destroy. He soon found one, but this one seemed different than the ones he had seen before. Seth spread his magic throughout the base and found what was different. There were very few people in this base, but there was a big bag with something moving inside. Seth couldn't sense what was inside of the bag with his magic, it must have been coated with a magic blocker. Seth Inspected the people in the base, only to find that their base stats nearly matched his. There were about forty people in the base, not that many. But Seth knew that this base wouldn't be so easy to clear out. This time, Seth took note of the positions of the strongest cultists. He would actually use a little bit of a strategy this time.
Seth appeared behind the strongest cultist in the base. He immediately ripped off his head and made the body disappear. He soon followed the body into the ground. He did the same thing to the next few people until there were only about thirty-five cultists left. At this point, Seth decided that the cultists' overall strength was low enough for him to make a bloodbath. Seth grinned as he came out of nowhere and took the lives of these little cultists. He killed all of the remaining cultists in a few minutes, his fastest time yet. Seth finally cleaned everything up in the base and looked to the squirming bag. Seth hesitantly cut the bag open with his dagger and was disgusted by what he saw.
Inside the bag were thousands of bugs and worms eating the rotting corpse of a small child. When Seth opened the bag, thousands of bugs started crawling out of it like a tidal wave. He saw pieces of rotting flesh get dragged from the bag by the bugs. Many of the bugs even started crawling all over Seth's arms and biting at his skin. Seth looked at his arms and sighed. He summoned the strongest flames he could and set the entire base ablaze. He watched as everything around him was incinerated, including his clothes. Seth continued to summon the flames for a few minutes, making sure that nothing was left alive. The fire was so strong that it had burnt away some of his skin, but he was glad about that. Seth walked from the flames, glad that there would be absolutely no trace of those bugs or the dead body on the face of the planet.
Seth was angry at the demonic cults. He didn't care what the fuck those bugs were for, but he would destroy any and all cults that were involved with that sight. Seth had eaten the raw stomach lining and drank the stomach acid of a beast, but he refused to have anything to do with bugs or rotting flesh. Seth marched his way back to his bike, which he immediately disseminated into its pure elemental particles. He then sent those elementals away before gathering new ones and rebuilding his bike. He then got on it and rode far away.
