She explained the whole thing to her mother except the part where she agreed to be Tristan's girlfriend, her mom kept asking questions and adviced her before she finally accepted and congratulate her.
"Finally" Ariel said with a stressed sigh, the grumbling of her stomach called their attention"Mom I'm so hungry right now"
"I already prepared dinner let's go and eat" she pulled Ariel
"Wait so you've not eaten?" Ariel asked
"I just finished preparing it when you came in" she explained
"Hmm don't wait for me next time you hear"
"I won't"
Immediately Tristan left the office he headed straight for his House on the way he was thinking of so many things and he didn't realize he was home already he got down and his employees greeted him as usual he nodded and went straight up to his room to take a shower, after taking a shower he went lie to on his bed and he drifted to sleep after some time but the ring of his phone woke him up
"Ring!! Ring!!"
"Who is that now" he complained as he checked his phone to see who woke him up from his sleep, it was his mom.
"Hello" his mom's excited voice sounded
"Mom don't you think it's a little bit late"
"Nonsense it's never too late to hear my baby's voice"
"Okay okay what's happening" he asked
"I want to ask about her"
"Who?" he pretended
"Why act like you don't know"
"Oh Ariel?"
"Aww her name is so sweet you didn't let me talk to her at all" she said beaming and complaining, he laughed at his mother's statement and said "Okay mum what do you want to know"
"I want to know why you didn't tell me all this while for eight months" she screamed, he thought for a little bit then he got what he could say to avoid suspicion.
"Take it easy mum it's not like that I didn't want to rush things I wanted us to get to know each other well before anything else" he explained
"Its okay as long as you are happy,and I told your dad about Ariel and he was so happy but he is asleep now" she lowered her tone
"Okay mum you should also get some sleep I'll talk to you tomorrow"
"Good night"
"Good night" they said at the same time and ended the call
After the call Tristan tried to sleep again but he just couldn't sleep he tossed and turned on the bed for some time and when he was sure he wasn't going to get any sleep he decided to do some of his work that was left,he didn't quite finish his work before he dozed off, he woke up by 8:00 in the morning he jumped up when he saw the time it was so unlike him he ran into the bathroom to take his shower and dressed up despite the rush he was looking drop dead gorgeous he wore a black suit that fitted him well with matching trousers everything about him was just amazing.
He went downstairs and met his driver like he always does the driver was also shocked it was so unlike his boss to be late.
"Good morning boss" Tristan just nodded like he always did he entered the car and they were off.
"Do you still remember where we dropped my assistant yesterday?" Tristan asked suddenly
"Boss Mr Luo is not around sir" the driver replied confused
"Yes I know, the girl we dropped yesterday so you still know the place?"
"Oh yes" the driver replied
"Drive to the place" he remembered that he told her she would be picked and dropped off by him.
Ariel had been waiting since 6:30 she was so happy she got a job and didn't want to lose it so she got up as fast as she could and was ready by 6:00 she waited and waited she didn't want to leave because her boss had already told her he would pick her up, soon she decided to go and take a taxi she bade her mom goodbye and enet out just before she could take another step a car drove in speedily then he winded down and she saw her boss, she sighed a sigh of relief when she saw it was her boss because she thought it was someone that came to kidnap her.
"Get in" Tristan said snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Yes Good morning sir" she said sitting beside her boss in the car.
"Hmm" he replied like he didn't reply at all
"So cold" she thought if she were to say that out loud then she would lose her job unfailingly, Soon enough they got to the office Ariel was the first to step down from the car then Tristan stepped out and went straight into the office not looking back she quickly followed him, as they were walking into the office everywhere was silent they noticed the boss's arrival and quickly composed themselves and greeted
"Good morning boss"
"Good morning sir" Tristan replied them the way he usually does by nodding and they went back to
their posts.
Ariel was waking side by side with her boss which drew a lot of attention, some gave her stares that could kill, some were smiling sweetly at her and some were murmuring bad or good she couldn't tell, she just wanted to get away from there as soon as possible luckily they got to the elevator quickly and went straight to Tristan's office, she had a desk that was a little bit far away from Tristan's own but it was in the same room.
She went straight to her desk and started work her work wasn't so much it was just her second day she was done so she decided to ask if Tristan needed anything.
"Do you need any help sir?" she asked politely
"I'll let you know if I need any" he answered coldly
"Okay sir" she went back to her desk and sat down then she decided to play with her phone for a while immediately she opened her phone she saw many missed calls some from her bestie and some from her mom and an unknown number and when she went to check her message app she saw lots of messages it was too much she decided to call her mom first and she couldn't call blossom she might be busy, she called her mom and her mom said she just wanted to ask about her welfare and they talked about other things as well she was really bored and it was not even close to lunch time.
She opened her message app and saw a strange message from an unknown number.
"Hey beautiful how is your mom I hope she is feeling better?"
