It had already been a month and they kept the whole pretense thing up and work was hectic but Ariel was happy at least she was busy with something she was good at not at the other boutique she was before, she had impressed Tristan alot these days after all she studied business and was really good at it infact the best in her school no one dragged the first position with her and to top it all she was extremely beautiful and that even brought her more attention, she always had the best students award and when she graduated from the University she was the best students of the whole set.
She was just gifted, so many girls envied her so much and so many guys wanted to court her, she was every guy's dream but she didn't have time she was always busy so they never got her attention she faced her studies squarely and emerged as the best but she was not always happy because her mother was not always there to celebrate with her, she wasn't healthy enough.
Tristan suddenly called her "Miss Johnson"
"Yes sir" she answered standing up.
"Well the thing is I never told you but my former assistant who is technically still my assistant went on his annual leave and he'll be back soon" Immediately Ariel heard this she become extremely sad and worried it was all over her face "Oh" was the only thing she managed to say, she quickly composed herself and asked "So uhmm...does that mean I'll be leaving sir"
Tristan chuckled lightly and said "No I'll promote him he actually needs that he has been working for me for quite a long time" Tristan explained calmly "Moreover I like the way you work already" Ariel blushed a little and answered "Thank you sir".
The door opened and it was Tristan's former assistant Leo. Leo was very shocked to see another person with his boss his face suddenly paled and it was evident.
"Sir ple..." he was cut off by his boss who made it clear to him that he wasn't getting replaced.
"Come on don't start now you have not been replaced you've been promoted Leo so don't start" Luo felt relieved after hearing the words from his boss he was so terrified earlier and thought he did something wrong for his boss to have replaced him.
"Crybaby" Tristan mused after seeing how Leo's face brightened. He proceeded and explained everything to Leo. "I told you I didn't need a secretary before right?" Tristan asked.
"Yes boss" replied Leo.
"Well you can be my secretary now the work load is too much so I need a secretary to reduce the workload"
"Thank you sir!! I'm very very grateful" Leo thanked his boss almost hugging him.
"Thank you sir"Leo said again.
"Come later we will discuss your pay, is that okay???" Tristan asked him to be sure.
"Yes sir thank you sir".
Leo was so overjoyed he didn't notice Ariel when he finally noticed her he turned to her and stretched his hand for a handshake "Leo Han "
"Ariel Johnson nice to meet you Mr Leo"
"No need for the formalities just call me Leo its fine"
After talking with his boss and Ariel he headed straight to Mr Chang's office he went there to discuss how he had been promoted ad how the space for his new office will be created they settled all this before Leo left his office, on his way he bumped into someone.
"Oh sorry" the both of them apologized at the same time.
"Mr Leo" Ariel blurted out.
"Ariel no formalities please call me Leo"
"Okay Leo " Ariel chuckled. "So I think I need to come to you for mentoring because you've been with sir for a while"
"Well yes of course if you need any help come to me but I can see that the boss likes the way you work anyways"
"Its been a month so far though" Ariel said
"Yes hmmm.... it's my annual leave I have to go besides the normal holidays I'm always working you know"
"Yes I can see the work here is non stop" Ariel replied with a laugh she liked this Leo so far he was comfortable to be with.
Leo was looking at Ariel when she was laughing she looked so beautiful and angelic even her laugh sounded like music to his ears, he was overjoyed earlier so he didn't look at her very well but now he could see her mind blowing features she looked very pretty he smiled unconsciously.
"Hellooo" she stressed "You are spacing out, are you okay??"
"Oh yes I'm fine" Leo answered
"You sure??"
"Yes I'm fine no need to worry" They talked like this for a while before Ariel decide to take her leave.
"Well okay then I have to start going now" Ariel quickly left for her office. Leo was starting admirably at her dissapearing figure it was as if he had never seen anyone as beautiful as Ariel in his whole life.
Ariel got to her office in no time and when she entered she couldn't find her boss anywhere so she called him "Sir.....Sir....but I left him here, maybe he went out for work" She went back to her desk to continue working she didn't see her boss for a while then unexpectedly he came out from somewhere, it was more like a room "A room in the office " Ariel thought, Tristan was looking so weak when he was coming out from the room.
Earlier when Ariel went out of the office he was feeling really unwell and his head started aching him so he went into the private room to get some rest but he couldn't he took painkillers hoping it would relieve him a bit but it didn't so he decided that going home would be the best right now. Ariel rushed to his side help him and asked "Are you okay sir?"
"Yeah nevermind I'll walk on my own"
"Sir you look really weak let me help you" Ariel offered her help because he didn't look so good to even walk on his own.
"No dont worry pack your things we are leaving" Tristan walked towards his desk and packed the things he'll need to work on at home. Ariel obeyed and packed her things and they went downstairs directly.
"Drop her first then we'll head home" Tristan instructed his driver.
"No sir I'll manage you don't look too good so you go home I'll find a taxi easily" Ariel tried to convince her boss.
"No need your house is close anyways so let's drop you first then no more arguments please"
Ariel zipped her mouth since her boss clearly told her not to argue with him anymore that was the first time normally they'll both argue for a long time before agreeing on one thing but she decided to let it go since he was not feeling well.
