Chapter 7 - Golem

Five!

Five freaking HP!

This is the remaining HP he got out of his 67hp! If that wolf manages to land that last attack, he absolutely will die there and then!

"Potion! Potion!"

He immediately took some tier-1 potion on his inventory and shattered it on his own hand.

+50

"Ho! Thank goodness! That's intense!"

He fell flat on his back and looked at the blue sky above. He rested, and let the regeneration full his remaining health back to max.

"What the heck happened back there?" The image of the damage he inflicted on the leader of the packs resurfaced on his mind. "That's strange... Forget about it! Maybe it's just a bug."

But he throws the doubts on the back of his head and rested, he needs it after the clutch game he had just done.

For about 10 minutes he finally moves and loots the item that the wolves left behind. Unfortunately, he only got 5 furs and some coppers, there's no item or whatever. Unlucky.

"Welp, that's life, I guess."

Not letting the bad luck to his self-esteem, he moves once again to find his way out to this damn forest. His mundane journey started once again.

He spotted some monster in the vicinity which all of them are level 3, some others are level 4.

Adding the title of "Pack Hunter" his damage went to 52 to 62, every monster took two arrows before they could even touch him, despawning them and leaving some hefty coppers that he could use on the village shop.

Turning to the left in the next crossing, he found himself standing on the river stream. He got a big brain idea immediately!

"If I follow the stream current of where it came from, I should probably spot the village! Yes, that's right!!"

He vividly remembers the stream on the Hinde Village outside of its outskirts, so there's no way he would lose his way now.

But immediately after he walked for quite a few steps he saw a typical monster in every RPG games,

Golem!

Yulsa took cover on the nearby tree and observe the sentient creature.

Each of its limbs was connected by some sort of translucent, energy force, which most likely the form of mana itself. It has a blue dot on the focal point of its head; must be its sight to use to navigate itself.

The golem gives the vibes of an ancient life force as the body itself has been filled covered by turfs and leaves.

[Golem Lv. 25]

Health: 2,400

"Shit! What a tank!!" He exclaims under his breath.

Most of the players should probably leave the fuck away after seeing this, but he's not one of those noobs.

The one thing he learned on the countless RPG he'd played over the years, always investigate every suspicious place you stumble upon on your journey! Because secret always is hidden in plain sight!!

Observing the peaceful sentient beings, he tried to spot the area for some unusual objects or hidden envelopes in the ground. Just like the most cliche thing, the thing he found is a skeleton body in the back of the golem; it was rested on the tree with a stock of papers under its hand.

"Jackpot~!" Yulsa did a victory grip on his hand and hawk the skeleton with gold on his eye.

But he did not take some reckless action, instead, plan his approach because there's no way he can take down this big guy with his current gears and level.

After some planning, he took the simples way of approach. He would just bait the sentient by throwing rocks to the opposite side and quickly run towards the skeleton and take its whole body!

"Big brain" He complimented himself.

Gripping some stones and pebbles in his hand he throws it to the opposite side of the clearing - which on the back of the golem.

But something unexpected happened. Out of many outcomes he could think of, there's no scene that this would most likely happen.

As though the golem has a censoring detector; which probably high-level passive skills, It detected his movements and immediately zap him with azure lightning skill.

-2045!

His body disintegrated into nothing because of the inconceivable heat behind the attacks.

Yulsa didn't even felt the pain of being disintegrated as the infliction system couldn't keep up with the maths of how great the pain it would give to him, or maybe it was intended. Nonetheless, he was dumbfounded.

"Really?" That's all he could say.

Fortunately, uncommon gears are defaults on undroppable items, so there's no loss there.

[Respawning in 5 hours]

The ridiculous respawn cooldown appeared at his ghostly dimension.

With a sigh, he accepted his fate and choose to respawn in the village itself... At least with all of this, he could now continue his questline and level-up.

There's no use being down for not taking the hidden quest because as long as this dude guard the skeleton, there's no way someone could take it easy.

The game teleported him back to the Hinde village.

He logged off, and do some proactive things in the real world, to kill time.
