Chapter 56 - Yeah Yeah Yeah, We Are Buying That Too! That As Well, And That!

The next day, as soon as Gracie woke up, she dashed towards the window and a big, innocent, and excited smile appeared on her face.

"Papa! Papa! They are gone! The clouds are gone! We can go to the beach!"

"What? Really?" Ace questioned in surprise.

"Yes! Look! Come here!"

"Wow! They are actually gone! Amazing!"

"Now we will go to the beach right?"

"Of course we will"

"Yay~"

"Alright Gracie, now go and quickly take a bath so that we can buy those swimsuits your Sister Sophia talked about and go to the beach" Maeve, who was standing right next to them spoke.

"Okies~" Gracie nodded before she jumped walked towards the bathroom with a happy smile on her face.

"She's so happy~" Maeve muttered as she placed her head on Ace's shoulder.

Ace just smiled lovingly as he patted Maeve's head gently.

Half an Hour later, Gracie returned with wet hair and Ace dutifully dried them with a towel. The three then walked towards the dining hall for the breakfast and noticed that it was much busier than usual.

"Who would have thought that the clouds would clear away?"

"Yeah, it's a miracle"

"I know right? It almost looks like that the god himself wanted us to visit the beach today!"

Ace heard the same people who were complaining yesterday talking happily and snorted inwardly.

'No one wanted your ass to be there you fools, I just wanted my little girl to have fun'

They weren't the only ones who were talking about the clear sky, it seemed like many came here just to visit Juhu Beach and were sad that they couldn't visit it due to the weather.

The more Gracie heard people talking about Juhu beach, the brighter her smile got. Her eyes then fell on a certain individual and she exclaimed.

"Papa! Mama! Look, that uncle looks like a lion!"

Ace then turned towards the direction Gracie was pointing at and saw a man who was a Lion-kin. He had a face like a lion with a long mane and a bulky body, though just like others, he was sitting on the chair anyone could tell that he was a giant.

Gracie, who had never seen a lion kin before, was surprised by the man's looks and exclaimed out loud.

Not only him, but there were also many people of different races sitting in the dining room, waiting for breakfast and Ace was looking around curiously since even he was a little curious about races other than humans.

"Papa! Look, he is looking at us! Hiiii!" Gracie noticed that the lion-kin was looking at her and as innocent as she was, she waved her hand at him excitedly, making others present there smile.

The man waved back but rather than looking at Gracie, His gaze was more focused on Maeve, which, of course, Ace noticed and didn't like, especially the smirk that he had on his face.

Ace turned around, looked at the man and their eyes met, the smirk still didn't leave from man's face, it widened more instead. The man narrowed his eyes, lifted his chin, and puffed his chest up, trying to intimidate Ace with his looks but soon, his smirked faded away when he noticed an extremely sinister-looking smirk that had appeared on Ace's face.

He was a lion-kin, a race who specialize in fighting, and as a Lion-kin, his instincts were telling him that something was wrong here. He didn't know why, but instead of intimidating Ace, he was intimidated by him. To make it worse, Ace raised his hand slowly and the man's heartbeat quickened. The man didn't even blink and readied himself to face a surprise attack.

But, Ace's hand turned towards Maeve and wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer to him. Ace's smirk widened before he glanced at the Lion-kin with a provoking smile. The lion-kin's eyebrows twitched in annoyance and his breathing fastened, but this time, instead of caution, it was due to anger.

"Papa! Look, that sister has feathers under her arms!" Gracie, who was completely clueless about the exchange, pointed at another girl, which looked like a harpy with beautiful feathers under her arms and bird-like claws instead of feet.

The girl just smiled towards Gracie as she stole glances at Ace a few times, of course, Maeve noticed that, and this time, Maeve wrapped her hands around Ace and smiled at the girl who quickly avoided her gaze and blushed.

Gracie continued pointing towards different people and no one seemed to be offended by her act, and in case someone looked a little displeased, that wasn't something Ace's little glare couldn't solve.

The environment of the dining hall livened considerably due to Gracie exclaiming cutely and the food was served.

After breakfast, Ace, Maeve, and Gracie walked towards the counter and the same elf greeted them with the same professional smile on her face.

"Good morning to you, sir and madam, How may I help you?"

"Good morning to you too, I wanted to ask if you know about any shops that sell Swimsuits around here?" Maeve questioned with a polite smile.

"Ahh, there are many, but there is a particular shop called 'Fashionably Fashionable'. The shop is the oldest and the most prestigious shop in this district. They are known for their quality clothes and good designs. Though it is a little expensive, it is worth a visit, I am sure you will be satisfied" The Elf answered while taking out a map of the district and pointing towards the shop.

Maeve smiled and nodded before they all left to visit this so-called Fashionably Fashionable. On the road, Gracie continued pointing at people of different races excitedly, attracting even more attention towards themselves.

Ace and Maeve obviously didn't stop her since she seemed to be enjoying herself and they were also curious about other races. Soon, they arrived in front of a big shop with many good-looking clothes hanging outside the doors with their price tags on them.

The three then entered the shop and were greeted by a cat-girl with features similar to Maggie.

"Wow! Papa! She looks like Sister Maggie!"

The girl smiled before complimenting, "You have a very cute daughter, customers"

Ace and Maeve smiled and the girl introduced herself, "My name is Elene, Welcome to the Fashionably Fashionable, what type of clothes would you like to buy?"

"I would like to buy some swimsuits for all of us," Maeve replied and the girl turned towards Gracie, "Shall we start with this cute little angel first?"

Ace smiled as if approving the girl in front of her while Maeve nodded at her.

"We have many designs but I am pretty sure that any of them will suit this cute little girl, I don't think you have to worry about choosing, please follow me"

The three then followed her to the children's section and Elene wasn't kidding when she said they had many designs.

Belted One Piece, High waisted bottom, Off-the-shoulder top, Wrap top, Triangle bikini, One piece with a high cut. Deep V neck, and many other different types of swimsuits with different colors and designs.

Maeve and Gracie's eyes shined when they saw the collections but the one who was most excited was Ace.

"Alright, Gracie, choose and wear anything you like" Ace spoke and Gracie quickly selected a few of them and entered the trial room.

A few minutes later, Gracie walked out of the trial room wearing a rainbow-colored belted One Piece with a light brown color hat on her head. Not only Ace's, Maeve's, and Elene's eyes shined brightly as they saw that cute creature standing in front of them with a smile on her face while holding the hat with her small hand.

'Ahh!! She looks so cute! As expected of my Nightingale~' Ace exclaimed inwardly.

"We are buying that! Now try another one!" Ace exclaimed. Gracie nodded before coming out wearing another swimsuit.

"Aright, we are buying that too"

"That as well"

"That and that"

"This loo-"

"Okay, that's enough for today, show some for me" Maeve, who knew Ace would end up buying everything interrupted quickly.

Ace then glanced at the pile of Swimsuits he just bought and nodded a little unwillingly.

Maeve then bought a couple of swimsuits for her and said, "Alright, now for him"

Elene's smile brightened even more and the three walked towards the men's section.

The shine in Ace's eyes dulled considerably when he was choosing the Swimsuit for him. Clearly, he wasn't very excited about buying something like clothes for himself. Seeing that, Maeve just shook her head before choosing a swimsuit for him herself.

"Alright, I'll just buy this one, pack everything we bought and tell the price" Ace spoke without even trying his own swimsuit.

The girl nodded with a big smile though there was a trace of disappointment on her face, it was completely overshadowed by her happiness since she knew she just hit a jackpot by servicing these customers.

Today alone, she sold more than she could in a whole month, and she was looking forward to that long-due promotion now!
