Chapter 5 - A Prince

Daniel shifted himself to the bar for a drink, while his eyes were still glued at them.

"I'm Eleazar," said Eleazar, asking for her hand.

"Winter," she replied, holding his hand.

Eleazar took a step towards gazing at her with a vague smile through his eyes, and gently held her waist while she placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Wow! they look good."

"So that new guy is already hitting on her," Jack said, approaching Daniel as he was drinking alone in the bar.

"She deserves these nights, a normal life," Daniel replied with a sigh, as he finished his drink in one shot with a slight pinched face.

"Then you'd better stop being so obvious you dumbass," Jack replied, gazing at him raising his one eyebrows in arch as he commented.

"Let's go out, someone wants to meet you," Jack said, forcing him to come out with him in the garden.

"Do I owe an apology, Love... for splitting you with your boyfriend," asked Eleazar, meeting her gaze.

"He's not my boyfriend," Winter replied, as her eyes ran around in search for Daniel who had already left the great hall.

"Great! that would save my work," Eleazar thought with a winning smile.

And they both continued to dance without talking.

"Wait, Tessa!" Winter stopped dancing, as she noticed Tessa over the stairs, she was walking clumsily over to the stairs.

"I'm sorry….. I'll be back," she said, leaving in a hurry.

"Tessa....," Eleazar mumbled with a sigh, gazing at Tessa who was trying to walk up the stairs.

"Tessa walk straight!" Eleazar muttered, fixing his gaze at her, her curved back straightened like a plank and she continued in steps like a puppet.

"Tessa..., You okay...?" Winter asked, approaching her in a hurry and wrapped her hands around her back to support her.

Eleazar shifts his gaze away slowly to the floor, and moves back slowly to the bar.

"I can't spend my ages after this girl's, this already sucks….," he thought with a sigh.

"Y-yes, I'm fine....," Tessa slur, blinking rapidly.

"Really, this girl….," Winter mumbled and helped her through the stairs.

"I'll call Dan, he'll drop you home"

"N-n-no I'm fine….. I just need to rest....," Tessa mumbled, cutting her off as they both continued on the first floor.

"You don't say," Winter repeated, rolling her eyes, helping her to the room ahead of the stairs.

"That's beautiful," Winter mumbled as she pushed the old wooden door of that room.

It was huge, decorated in Rococo style, a giant shimmering Chandler was hanging from the roof.

A fireplace was built opposite to the bed. Small and integrated sculptures of angels were carved around it.

A bed was sitting in the centre of the room, decorated in white linen, complementing the red curtains those were hanging on the windows.

"Is he some prince," she thought gazing around with her wide eyes.

"I'll be back with Dan, you can rest here," Winter replied, as she made her sit on the bed and shifted and a pillow under her head.

"I'm fine," Tessa mumbled, laying back on the bed

"I know," Winter replied.

"Call me if you need anything," Winter said, with a sigh and came out of the room after checking her for a minute.

"Here too," she mumbled, looking up at paintings on the roof of the hallway which is telling the story of fairies, they were roaming around the man sitting on a throne.

"They're intense," she mumbled.

She took her steps slowly gazing at the roof to the end of the hallway of that floor, as she was lost in the intricate paintings of that castle.

"Should I help you," Eleazar said, approaching after her.

She gasped, and turned around blinking rapidly.

"No I was just…. leaving," Winter replied, with a vague smile.

"Okay," Eleazar mumbled.

She left the hallway without looking back.
